Blackpink Teases Fans with New Music

Yara Sameh Blackpink served up a sweet treat for BLINKs on Friday when the K-pop girl group released a teaser that suggests new music on social media. The clip is a simple one, featuring what resembles metallic pink racing marks speeding over a black screen as the music — thumping and club-ready — crescendos before it suddenly stops and a woman's voice instructs 'Jump' as the same word appears in dusty rose. The post is captioned with a single question: 'Ready to Jump?'. No additional details were given. Fans on the various social media platforms where the 17-second clip was shared were quick to express their excitement over what would be the band's first new music as a group since sophomore release "Born Pink", which arrived in 2022. Even Diplo jumped into the comments section on one of the Instagram posts, responding, 'SO READY.' YG Entertainment — the agency behind Blackpink — confirmed to Forbes in June that the quartet would debut a new song during the kickoff show of its upcoming global trek titled "DEADLINE WORLD TOUR". The tour launches with two shows set for July 5 and 6 at Goyang Stadium in Seoul, South Korea. Fans first started suspecting that new music may be on the way when the group launched a map of Seoul on its website on July 1. Several popular areas on the map were singled out, but two pins also hinted that something more was happening. The two pins read, 'DO NOT JUMP,' kicking off the speculation that new music arriving would be called 'Jump.' Blackpink's reunion comes after the quartet — comprised of Rosé, Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo — took some time apart to focus on their solo projects, from music to acting and more. Shortly after the teaser's release on Friday, Rosé promoted the group's return on Instagram Stories. In a story, she shared a video of clips featuring Blackpink performances. Above the clip, she wrote, 'blinks, we're coming back tomorrow.' Blackpink Send Fans Into Frenzy with Mysterious "Pink Area" Map

Yara Sameh Blackpink sent fans into a frenzy after the K-pop girl group unveiled a new interactive website that appears to set up their upcoming era. In a tweet on Tuesday, the group wrote, 'Welcome to PINK AREA ,' along with a photo of a cartoonish map of Seoul. The map featured a series of popular tourist spots, including Goyang Sports complex, Banpo Bridge, Namsan Seoul Tower, and Sevit Island, all marked as PINK AREA, along with the dates July 4-6. Two of the sites were marked with an all-caps sign that read DO NOT JUMP, with the 'Not' crossed out in pink spray paint over the YG building and the Shinsegae department store. At press time, it was unclear what the message referred to. The site's name picks up on the group's iconic 'BLACKPINK in your area' catchphrase and followed up on last week's first group picture together in months. In a since-expired Instagram Stories post that showed Rosé, Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo were seen holding their hands together to create the shape of a four-leaf clover, accompanied by a clover emoji. BLINKS shared the snap on their socials in an attempt to decode its meaning, with many speculating that it was a hint about the title of an upcoming song or project. Back in May, Lisa revealed that the group had already been in the studio working on new songs. The quartet's most recent album was 2022's sophomore LP "Born Pink," which was followed by solo albums and singles from all the band. In the meantime, Blackpink are gearing up to launch their Deadline world tour, which is slated to kick off at South Korea's Goyang Stadium with shows on Saturday (July 5) and Sunday (July 6), leading to further speculation that the sites on the interactive map are clues about events timed to coincide with the tour kick-off. Afterwards, the quartet will head to North America for a show in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, and New York. They will then play stadiums across Europe in August and return for a run of Asian dates in October and November, winding down on November 30 with the second of two shows at Singapore National Stadium. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence"
