The biggest names in baseball are all in action tonight at Truist Park in Atlanta for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game.
Both recent history and the odds for tonight's clash between the NL All-Stars and the AL All-Stars tell us that we should be in for another close ASG tonight.
Dating back to 2016, seven of the last eight MLB All-Star Games were decided by two runs or less (the AL's 5-2 win in 2021 marked the most one-sided result since its own 6-3 win back in 2015).
One interesting note as we dive into the MLB All-Star Game betting odds and best bets is that the NL is the slight favorite despite the AL's recent dominance. The American League won the Midsummer Classic every year from 2013-22, with the exception of 2020, when the game was canceled.
The NL snapped a nine-game losing streak in 2023, but the AL won in 2024 to give it 10 ASG wins in the last 11 editions.

MLB All-Star Game MVP Odds
The favorites for ASG MVP should come as no surprise.
Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani's odds, via DraftKings, are slightly shorter than Aaron Judge's. Pete Crow-Armstrong of the Cubs, Ronald Acuña Jr. of the Braves and Home Run Derby champ Cal Raleigh of the Mariners boast the next-shortest odds to win MVP of tonight's contest.
It's also worth noting that AL starting pitcher Tarik Skubal's MVP odds are 25-to-1, while NL starter Paul Skenes is listed at 45-to-1.
Below are the top 10 betting favorites to be named MVP of the 2025 MLB All-Star Game. Each player's DraftKings odds as of Tuesday afternoon are in parentheses.
Shohei Ohtani (+550)
Aaron Judge (+600)
Pete Crow-Armstrong (+900)
Ronald Acuña Jr. (+1000)
Cal Raleigh (+1100)

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+2500)
Tarik Skubal (+2500)

MLB All-Star Game Analysis, Pick, Best Bets
Betting on the MLB All-Star Game is less of a crapshoot than the NBA All-Star Game or the NFL's Pro Bowl. It's neverthless a tough contest to predict, as both managers will likely use at least nine pitchers and as many as 20 batters.
While last year's game -- which the AL won 5-3 -- was relatively high-scoring, just 17 total runs were scored in the 2021, 2022 and 2023 MLB ASGs, which makes Under 7 runs tempting, especially at even money at bet365.
For a bit more upside, I'd take the National League on the run line. The MLB All-Star Game is usually a hard-fought battle for nine innings, but the margin has been at least two runs in four of the last eight years the ASG has taken place. And going a bit further back, eight of the last 12 MLB All-Star Games were decided by at least two runs.
Best bets:
Under 7 runs (+100 at bet365) -- 0.5 units
NL run line -1.5 (+185 at bet365) -- 0.5 units
Best MLB All-Star Game Player Prop Bets
The most tempting markets in this game are player hit props, as every player is listed at plus-money to record at least one base hit.
Current runaway 2025 AL MVP favorite Aaron Judge went 0-for-2 in last year's All-Star Game. Still, MLB's best hitter this year (Judge easily leads the majors in batting average, hits and total bases, to name just a few of his eye-popping 2025 stats) is tempting at +110 to record at least one hit.
I also recommend a small wager on Aaron Judge 2+ Total Bases (+250 at FD) to anyone looking for some player prop action in this contest.
Best prop bets:
Aaron Judge 1+ hits (+110 at DK) -- 0.5 units
Aaron Judge 2+ total bases (+250 at FD) -- 0.25 units

Will an injured Caitlin Clark play in the WNBA All-Star Game? Here's what we know.

Indiana Fever superstar guard Caitlin Clark missed her 10th regular-season game of the 2025 season on Wednesday night with a new groin injury sustained on Tuesday night, putting her status for the weekend's WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis in jeopardy. Clark is slated to both play in the All-Star Game as a captain and compete in the 3-Point Contest, and Fever coach Stephanie White shared that it will ultimately be up to Clark as to whether or not she participates. "Caitlin and her team will make decisions when it comes to All-Star," White told reporters on Wednesday evening. While we're sure the Fever will give their input for what they will prefer for Clark's long-term health, it looks like whether or not Clark joins in on the festivities this weekend through her injury will be up to her. We'll see what Clark and her team decides, as we could see her taking either route. She could err on the side of caution, or she could feel well enough by the weekend to join in on the fun. We'll know soon enough what she decides and keep you updated once we know the answer.

Why Nathan Eovaldi is still getting $100K Rangers bonus — even after All-Star Game snub

Play like an almost All-Star, get paid like an All-Star. Despite not making the Midsummer Classic this year, Rangers pitcher Nathan Eovaldi was paid a $100,000 All-Star bonus in his contract, ESPN first reported Wednesday. That money was well deserved, at least based on his stats. Advertisement Rangers pitcher Nathan Eovaldi got a $100K All-Star bonus. AP Eovaldi has been one of the best arms in baseball this season, as the two-time All-Star has a 7-3 record with a 1.58 ERA and 94 strikeouts over 91 innings. Opposing hitters have struggled overall with a .194 average and .237 on-base percentage against the veteran righty. Advertisement The only thing that kept him down was that he missed an entire month because of a tricep injury, which has kept him out of qualifying for statistical categories. 'I was very surprised when [president of baseball operations Chris Young] called and told me that they would be paying me my All-Star bonus,' Eovaldi told The Dallas Morning News on Wednesday. 'I was very thankful and appreciative. Representing the Rangers at the All-Star Game is always a goal of mine that I set out to achieve at the beginning of the season. So I'm thankful that they felt like I should have been on the All-Star team.' Eovaldi, 35, is halfway through his 15th major league season as he continues his impressive career. Getty Images Advertisement The 2008 11th-round pick of the Dodgers joined the Rangers three seasons ago and has been a standout since, helping the team to its first-ever World Series title in 2023. He was a key contributor during the playoff run, going 5-0 with a 2.95 ERA. Now, though, the Rangers are 48-49 and are 3 1/2 games out of an American League wild-card spot. Eovaldi is set to begin his second half of the season against the Tigers on Sunday when he's slated to go up against AL All-Star starting pitcher Tarik Skubal.

Aaron Judge talks about wearing Yankees uniform at MLB All-Star Game, Home Run Derby

ATLANTA – The 2025 MLB All-Star game was one for the history books. For the first time in the history of the Midsummer Classic, a swing-off was needed to determine a winner. Aaron Judge, MLB's second-leading home run hitter, was noticeably absent from the group of AL Home Run Derby-style participants. Los Angeles Dodgers skipper Dave Roberts and the Yankees' Aaron Boone were the managers for this year's All-Star game after their teams met in last season's World Series. Boone addressed concerns over his player selection for the swing-off, saying each manager was required to submit three names the day before the event. He added that his decision was based on the idea Judge would not be in the All-Star game in the late innings. "We had to pick our guys yesterday," Boone said during a postgame news conference. "Wanted to make sure I picked guys I knew would be in the game there and still hot. That was my choice." Athletics star Brent Rooker, Mariners outfielder Randy Arozarena and Rays player Jonathan Aranda were the three AL players who participated in the swing-off. Phillies star Kyle Schwarber hit three home runs to lift the NL to an All-Star game victory and was named the game's MVP. For the first time in four years, major league players took the field for an All-Star game wearing the uniforms of the teams they play for. Since the Atlanta Braves are a National League club, the NL All-Stars wore their white home uniforms. The AL All-Stars wore their gray road uniforms. In the past few years, players were given specially designed All-Star uniforms. "I wanted to go out there and represent New York, so I just kind of thought about all the first-time All-Stars," the Yankees slugger told Fox News Digital in the American League clubhouse just hours before the first pitch at Tuesday's MLB All-Star game. "I just kind of voiced (my opinion on the situation). I wouldn't say it was my call or anything. … Like, I think it's cool for the fans too. I remember as a kid turning on the all the old All-Star games (on TV) and seeing the players in their uniforms." When asked about his thoughts on the Home Run Derby, Judge said with a smile, "I already did it. I don't know what else you want from me. "I think it's time for somebody else to step up and do their thing and have fun with. I love seeing new faces in the game go out there and do their thing." Jazz Chisholm Jr. represented the Yankees Monday night in the Home Run Derby. The second baseman had the lowest home run total of the participants and failed to advance past the first round. Judge remained supportive of his teammate and hinted Chisholm has his eye on chance at redemption in 2026. "It's his first one. It's a big moment, but I know he's always ready for the big moment. But I think he got a base hit in the game tonight, so he was just staying ready for the All-Star game. My guy's an All-Star. He said he's going to do it again next year if he gets 20 homers. So, I think he'll be on a revenge tour for next season." Follow Fox News Digital's sports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.
