'Best Bond movie' with Oscar-winning theme song now streaming for free
A James Bond film that's been acclaimed as the best movie in the entire spy series is now available to stream for free.
Helmed by Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes, Skyfall has recently landed on ITVX, much to the delight of action fans.
The 2012 blockbuster, featuring Daniel Craig as the iconic secret agent, garnered widespread acclaim upon its release.
It tracks Bond's pursuit of a hitman through Istanbul's bustling streets, aiming to retrieve a stolen list that could expose undercover MI6 agents.
When the operation disastrously fails, M (portrayed by Dame Judi Dench) is forced to take drastic steps to safeguard the intelligence service, reports the Mirror.
Craig is joined by Naomie Harris, a familiar face to Bond fans from her roles in subsequent instalments of the series.
The cast also boasts the talents of Academy Award winner Javier Bardem, 28 Years Later star Ralph Fiennes and French actress Bérénice Marlohe.
As anticipated with such an impressive cast, Skyfall was met with immediate success.
It secured an impressive 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, where critics lauded: "Sam Mendes brings Bond surging back with a smart, sexy, riveting action thriller that qualifies as one of the best 007 films to date."
Moreover, the spy epic was nominated for five Oscars, contending in categories such as Best Cinematography, Best Original Score and Best Sound Mixing.
In the end, the film triumphed at the Oscars, clinching awards for Best Sound Editing and Best Original Song, the latter awarded to Adele for her chart-topping track, Skyfall.
Cinema enthusiasts were captivated by the film, with one Google reviewer stating: "By far the best Bond Movie I've ever seen especially given the amazing performances of Javier Braden."
Another agreed, writing: "Skyfall in my view is the best Bond film ever made. No Time To Die is good but this Bond film will always have the edge above others."
An IMDb user also contributed their praise, noting: "This is one of the best Bond movies I have ever seen."
They continued to laud the film, saying: "The story is superbly put together and has some interesting twists, the action is well done and contains none of the shaky cam which plagued the last film. The actors all do a great job."

John Torode's 'struggle' with MasterChef co-star Gregg Wallace's off-screen behaviour
John Torode and Gregg Wallace have been BBC MasterChef co-hosts for 20 years - but their behind-the-scenes relationship has been called into question following their recent sacking John Torode found one aspect of his partnership with Gregg Wallace particularly taxing, a journalist who interviewed the MasterChef host revealed. Wallace was dismissed from the BBC programme after 45 complaints against him were upheld. His co-presenter Torode later learned that his contract would not be renewed following an investigation that confirmed he had uttered racially insensitive remarks some years prior. Following their dismissals, anecdotes about the duo have come to light, including one from a journalist who met Torode. Michael Odell of The Times has interviewed the Australian chef on two occasions. Michael recalled: "The first time I met Torode was in 2022 and he described dealing with his erstwhile MasterChef presenting partner Gregg Wallace and his early morning phone calls. It was obvious being woken up at 6am by Wallace in Duracell Bunny 'let's get to work!' mode was not easy." He also noted a recurring sentiment from both interviews, stating: "Both times I came away thinking, 'Why am I not as nice as John Torode?'" Despite their apparent camaraderie on the BBC series, the pair have previously admitted their relationship isn't quite as cordial off-screen. Torode once told the Mirror: "It's funny, we've never been friends. We've not been to each other's houses." He further explained: "If we go away to somewhere like South Africa," adding, "we do things separately ... If we do go out for a drink, I'll invariably be at one end of a big old table and he'll be at the other." John Torode has opened up about the intense clashes he's had with his co-host Gregg Wallace during their two decades of presenting together, admitting they've had "massive fights" over which contestants should stay or go on the show – tensions that didn't always dissipate once filming wrapped. "We've had a couple of standoffs over the years," Torode confessed. "I've just had to walk away from him." Meanwhile, Wallace seemed unaware of any serious issues, as he reflected in a 2017 interview with Lorraine. He explained: "I film with John six or seven months of the year, so we are very close to each other physically, and emotionally we are very close to each other. "What's great about having a partnership is that if one of you is a bit off, a bit down, the other one naturally steps up, so I rely on John a lot." A source from behind the scenes also shared with BBC News: "Clearly they had a good chemistry when the cameras were rolling. But you rarely saw them interact when the cameras were off." Wallace has since apologised for his behaviour, insisting he is "so sorry" but stated: "I am not a groper, a sex pest or a flasher." Torode, aged 60, has refuted an old accusation regarding the use of racist language, stating he has no memory of such an incident and does not believe it occurred. Whatever lies ahead for the pair, Wallace and Torode will appear on screen together for a handful more occasions. The BBC has, following extensive deliberation, chosen to broadcast their final series together from August 6, and may also transmit a Celebrity MasterChef series and Christmas special that are both allegedly completed. Nevertheless, some editorial modifications may have been implemented to minimise the duration the pair feature on screen. A BBC representative stated: "MasterChef is an amazing competition which is life-changing for the amateur chefs taking part. The focus of it has always been their skill and their journey,". "This has not been an easy decision in the circumstances and we appreciate not everyone will agree with it. "In showing the series, which was filmed last year, it in no way diminishes our view of the seriousness of the upheld findings against both presenters. We have been very clear on the standards of behaviour that we expect of those who work at the BBC or on shows made for the BBC."

One Night starring Jodie Whittaker comes to ITV1 & ITVX this August
ITV1 & ITVX will broadcast One Night, the six-part mystery drama, exclusively for a UK audience in August. Starring Jodie Whittaker, Nicole da Silva (Wentworth, Rush) and Yael Stone (Orange Is the New Black), One Night is the story of three women whose bond was all but destroyed by the traumatic events of one night 20 years ago. Since then, Simone (Nicole da Silva) has harboured secret hopes of becoming a novelist but most of her haphazard attempts have been shoved into her bottom drawer. Now, at the age of 40, she has finally written the one story she could never get out of her mind, and her debut manuscript has become an unexpected overnight success. But it soon becomes apparent that the devastating story the book tells doesn't exclusively belong to her. At the heart of Simone's novel is a tragedy which also happened to Tess (Jodie Whittaker) and Hat (Yael Stone), her two childhood best friends. As it becomes harder to prise fact from fiction, one person's memory and story from another's, the book threatens to derail all their friendships, bringing old traumas to the surface of the small coastal community where they grew up, and stirring its perpetrators, who want to make it all go away. Created and written by the award-winning Emily Ballou (The Slap, Taboo) and directed by Catherine Millar (The Twelve, The Secrets She Keeps) and Lisa Matthews (Doctor Doctor, The PM's Daughter), the full series will be available on the streaming platform. The ensemble cast includes Kat Stewart (Five Bedrooms, Offspring), George Mason (The Power of the Dog), Erroll Shand (Underbelly: Land of the Long Green Cloud), Noni Hazlehurst (A Place To Call Home, Fires), Tina Bursill (Doctor Doctor), William Zappa (The Dry, Miss Fisher & the Crypt of Tears), Damien Strouthos (The Twelve) and Jillian Nguyen (Barons). -ENDS- About ITVX Launched in late 2022, ITVX is UK's freshest streaming service, letting viewers stream new programme exclusives, with adverts, for free; ranging from premium dramas, documentaries, US series, comedy and reality shows to blockbuster films and much, much more. One of TV's most popular newcomers returns to Emmerdale in early ITVX release
The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn't aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX. Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) has returned to Emmerdale. We were first introduced to the teen earlier this year, when an episode of the ITV soap aired that revealed what happened to April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) while she was living on the streets. Dylan was one of the few people who looked out for April while she was homeless. Her time living rough ended when she was found by a member of the public and rushed to hospital. When Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) arrived, they learnt April had given birth to a stillborn baby girl. April then returned to Mill Cottage but because of this, she never got to say a proper goodbye to her friend. Dylan then made his way to the village in search of April a few weeks later. He lived with April for a little while as he attempted to get clean from drugs. However, due to the fact Marlon was very focused on rebuilding his relationship with his daughter, it felt like Dylan was getting in the way. It led him to planting drugs from the vets on Dylan, making it seem as though he had lied to April. Dylan then made a deal with Marlon, which saw him pay for rehab on the condition Dylan would not tell April the truth. During this story, many fans of the ITV soap grew to love Dylan, which meant plenty of them were thrilled to see him tuning into the latest episode. More Trending Dylan had been sneaking about in the village that morning and it didn't take April very long to find him. As they caught up, April smiled as she learnt that Dylan had turned his life around as a result of rehab, and was now living in Hotten. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers?
