Only Fools and Horses script reveals lost scene from 1996
The pair, played by David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst, dress up as the cartoon characters for a fancy dress party and inadvertently thwart a mugging on route.
But now, an extended scene has been discovered nearly 30 years on, thanks to a script that belonged to the late Roger Lloyd Pack who played Trigger.
It appears that Del and Rodney's antics as Batman and Robin continued to cause chaos.
The script revealed that the extended scene shows Del later chasing down a mugger and knocking him unconscious with his suitcase full of hooky gear.
The Sun reports that in the cut scene, it is scripted that a policeman then arrives and Del tells him "It's alright officer, I caught him, he's over there!"
But the policeman then walks over to the two men and arrests Rodney instead of the mugger.
The 155-page script is set to go up for sale at Bristol-based Auctioneum.
Auctioneer Andy Stowe described it as "comedy history, in black and white."
Speaking to The Sun, Only Fools fan Mr Stowe said he had started to find lines that he didn't recognise while reading through the script.
Another scene that never made it into the episode involves Del and Rodney rushing out of their flat just as a consignment of dodgy alarm clocks go off.
They go to Del's Capri Ghia to find the group of muggers loitering around it but they are scared off as Del and Rodney arrive to the noise of the alarms going off in the background.
One of the muggers was played by actress-turned-presenter Sheree Murphy, who later went on to become a household name as fan favourite Tricia Dingle in Emmerdale.
It was Sheree's first TV appearance as a small but notable part as the mugger, two years before she got the role in Emmerdale.
The script has been signed by other members of the cast including David Jason himself and the late John Challis, who played Boycie.

The Sun reports that the vendor is a private collector who acquired the script from the Only Fools & Horses Society.
The script is estimated to sell for between £2,000 and £3,000. Roger Lloyd Pack had also marked his lines with black ink.
The sale takes place on June 30.

EastEnders' Kat tears into Alfie as she has a theory about who he's helping
A lot has changed since EastEnders' Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) left Walford in search of Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) last month, not least his wife Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) buying the Queen Vic. But if he thinks she's about to roll the red carpet out for his return, he might want to think again. Next week's episodes will see Alfie finally come home after his secret trip, and it's not long before Kat is tearing into him for lying about where he has been. As fans of the BBC soap will remember, last month saw Kat's estranged daughter Zoe make a sudden and unexpected reappearance after 20 years. But shortly after she was reunited with cousin Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and step-dad Alfie, she made a run for it with Alfie soon heading off to Spain to track her down. With Kat in the dark about Zoe's reappearance, Alfie lied to her and told her he was spending time with his brother Spencer Moon (Christopher Parker) in Australia. When Kat later found out he wasn't really in Australia, Stacey had to cover for him, lying that Alfie had another cancer scare and was away clearing his head. Unforgivable star Mark Womack's forgotten soap role as he returns to screen
Mark Womack is back on our screens tonight in Unforgivable but he previously played a major villain in one of Britain's top soaps. Mark Womack is back on our screens tonight in Unforgivable, and will be seen alongside Anna Friel and Anna Maxwell Martin when the new drama premieres on BBC Two. The actor, 64, is no stranger to the small screen, having appeared in episodes of Judge John Deed, Vera, and Silent Witness over the years. He had a regular role on Liverpool 1 in the late 1990s, where he met and later married co-star Samantha Janus, who later found huge success as Ronnie Mitchell in EastEnders, although they divorced in 2018. But Mark was also recently part of one of Britain's staple soap operas for a period of time. Throughout 2020, he appeared as DI Mark Malone on ITV's Emmerdale and turned up in the village to investigate the shooting of Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter). Over time, it became apparent that his character was corrupt and, as the boss of Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), decided to blackmail his colleague, along with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle), into joining forces with him. He later started up an affair with Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton). When Harriet is about to get married to Will, Will decides to try framing Will for possession of drugs, but Will found out and bludgeoned his boss with a spanner. Dawn Taylor ( Olivia Bromley) then threatened to report him to the police, but the corrupt copper found out and tried to force her into a drug overdose. But his evil plan was interrupted when Harriet walked in and hit him over the head, which led to Dawn fatally shooting him. Just over two years later, Harriet herself was killed off in 2022, when she died amid the show's 50th anniversary episodes. Speaking about his character at the time, Mark said: "In a different world he would quite like Dawn, he probably thinks she is ballsy. That relationship has never been given the chance to form, and what he hates is people who betray him. "Even though there is no relationship with Dawn, in his head once someone betrays you especially in the way that she does it, she compromises everything, his future, his plans it's unforgivable." His final appearance on the show came in August 2020, and Mark has since been seen in an episode of Moving On and then became a regular in The Responder opposite Martin Freeman, Adelayo Adedayo and Shameless star Warren Brown. Unforgivable is a powerful new drama penned by the legendary Cracker and Time screenwriter Jimmy McGovern and amongst its stellar cast also features A dolescence child star Austin Haynes. The drama arrives on BBC iPlayer from 6am on Thursday 24 July, with episodes kicking off on BBC Two, from 9pm that same evening. Set in Liverpool, the production follows the lives of the Mitchell family, who have been dealing with the aftermath of grooming and sexual abuse. After serving a two-year jail sentence, Bobby Schofield, the person who committed the disturbing crimes, was released from prison. Bobby is ordered to carry out a residential rehabilitation programme upon his release, to understand through therapy what may have led him to commit such an awful crime. The series aims to understand all viewpoints and how abuse can impact every single person within a family setting. "Unforgivable examines the extensive ripple effect of abuse from multiple perspectives and how those involved can try to move forwards in the midst of the devastation," explained the BBC. Its synopsis reads: "Having served his prison sentence, Joe (Bobby Schofield) arrives at St Maura's, an institution which offers him a home and rehabilitation after his release. With the support of Katherine ( Anna Maxwell Martin), an ex-nun, Joe undertakes therapy sessions in the hope of understanding what led him to commit the abuse." The overview further states: "Simultaneously, his sister, Anna (Anna Friel), is dealing with the enormous impact that Joe's crime has had on her family - her sons, Tom (Austin Haynes) and Peter (Finn McParland), and her father, Brian (David Threlfall)."

Emmerdale set for 'explosive' scenes as twisted feuds spark danger and betrayal
Emmerdale fans will witness three key families on the show facing being torn apart by dark rivalries, feuds and deceit, both within the families and with each other There's bound to be hectic, drama-filled and some potentially devastating scenes on Emmerdale in the coming weeks. Three big families on the show are all at war with each other, and two of those families have feuds rumbling between relatives too. It's nothing new seeing loved ones clash, betrayals spark horror and relationships tested. But in upcoming scenes there's somewhat of a battle triangle going on. Arguably three of soap's most well known families, the Tates, the Dingles and the Sugdens, are about to feature in an almighty clash. Tate duo Kim and Joe might have the last laugh though, as it's the other two clans who are at war within their families as well as with other village households. It's certainly a messy time ahead, but how far will they all go? We can guarantee eventful episodes ahead with tense scenes, probably some humour too while things may even take a dark turn. After all, one resident is causing "mayhem" with more than one villain, while one couple face losing everything if another duo get their own way. Our soap source teased: "The Dingles, Sugdens and the Tates are three iconic soap families. To be against each other is one thing and will lead to explosive scenes - but for those within the clans to be at war too could lead to all kinds of upset. "They may band together when times get tough, but they're also quick to turn on one another if they need to. Family code is quickly thrown out of the window where ultimatums and betrayals are concerned." Robert Sugden in particular could have a tough battle on his hands after his vow to cause carnage recently. Our insider explained: "Robert may need to watch his back. He's crossed both his killer brother John Sugden and iconic village 'villain' Kim Tate. Robert has proven time and time again he's not one to be messed with though, so it's anyone's guess how this latest backstabbing will turn out. "Robert could find himself the unlucky next victim of John, as he continues desperately in his attempt to expose his brother's dark lies unaware of just who he's messing with. As for Kim, she's got the unpredictable and rather villainous Joe Tate on her side, so perhaps Robert should watch out before creating an enemy of them." It seems the Tates, for now, could finally have each other's backs with them busy targeting other families. "Kim and Joe have become this dynamic duo, and while they do question each other's loyalties every now and again, they often get a plan in motion and are determined to see it through," our soap expert said. "With Moira Dingle their next target, it's not long before the two families are at war. "But it sets off a chain of events that cause an implosion of sorts amid the Dingle clan, and some rather close siblings are suddenly locked in a feud. Loyalties are tested, ultimatums are issued and someone gets arrested." Fans will be used to seeing the Dingles rowing, but might things be irreversible this time? Our soap insider went on: "We've seen the Dingles fall out before, it's nothing new. Their claims of sticking together seem to be selective. But this time, with Sam and wife Lydia possibly choosing the Tates, a known Dingle enemy, over their own family, it could lead to their most explosive family feud yet. "We know Cain finds it difficult to forgive and forget, and he and Sam can be as stubborn as each other. But if Sam and Lydia form an alliance with Kim despite her and Joe's plans to get Moira's farm, risking her livelihood and her home, we can't imagine Cain letting his go so easily." It's not just the Dingles turning on each other though, with Victoria Sugden caught in the middle of her brothers John and Robert. Our insider said: "The Sugdens are at war with each other, well Robert and John are. Robert's also risking war with the Tates, who are locked in for battle with the Dingles. So adding the Dingle's feuding with each other into the mix, and we've got ourselves some no doubt fiery, tense and high drama scenes on the way in the coming weeks and months."
