UK to roll out red carpet in ‘unprecedented' second Trump visit hosted by King Charles
In an unprecedented announcement on Sunday, the British royal family said its September invitation to President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump has been accepted. The meeting will mark the first time a U.S. president has been invited to the United Kingdom for a second state visit – a move that signifies the value London is placing on the U.S.-U.K. partnership amid escalated security concerns. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will also meet with Trump in Scotland during his previously planned "private" visit to his Aberdeenshire-based golf resort later this month, reports first confirmed last week. While the Trump-Starmer meeting is still significant, it is not an official state visit that is accompanied by ceremonial events, and King Charles III is not expected to meet with the president during the July meeting. It is not uncommon for U.S. presidents to make the trip to the U.K. multiple times throughout their presidency. Both of Trump's two-term predecessors, Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, visited Britain multiple times, though both were issued just one state visit. The reason for the visit – which will take place from Sept. 17-19 at Windsor Castle as Buckingham Palace continues to undergo massive renovations – has not been explicitly revealed and could be because Trump's previous invitation was issued under the King Charles III's mother, Queen Elizabeth II, prior to his accession to the throne. However, it also comes amid escalated security concerns as Russia continues to pummel Ukraine, and European nations remain steadfast in their concerns that Russian President Vladimir Putin's war ambitions extend beyond Kyiv. "The unprecedented nature of a second state visit for President Trump reflects the reality that global turbulence means it is natural for the U.K. to want to keep its friends close," Alan Mendoza, executive director of the Henry Jackson Society, an international affairs think tank based in London, told Fox News Digital. "In an ever-changing security environment, the one constant we know will act to underpin our way of life is the transatlantic alliance." "Extending this invitation therefore shows that the U.K. is serious about its own commitment to our enduring relationship, but also reminds the U.S. that we have always been an indispensable partner in its global leadership," he added. Since Trump re-entered office, the U.K. has worked to maintain its strong ties with Washington despite some geopolitically challenging moves by Trump that have strained other international relations. Fox News Digital could not immediately reach Buckingham Palace for comment.

Lamborghini Hints at a Rear-Wheel-Drive Temerario: 'A Different Kind of Hybridization'
For years, Lamborghini was all about all-wheel drive—it was the one thing separating the Italian automaker from its chief rival, Ferrari. Only occasionally did the company offer rear-wheel drive on a limited special edition. But Lamborghini began embracing rear-wheel drive near the end of the Gallardo's run. For the Huracan, the company would offer rear-drive in both base models and specials like the STO and Tecnica. Soon, the Temerario could follow in the same footsteps. Speaking to the UK's Car magazine at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Lamborghini CTO Rouven Mohr hinted at a rear-wheel drive Temerario. "I'm not saying in the future you couldn't see a [two-wheel drive] version of the street car, and then perhaps a different kind of hybridization," he said. Lamborghini Temerario Alleggerita Photo by: Lamborghini Currently, the Temerario is only offered as an all-wheel drive hybrid. It has a mid-mounted, twin-turbo V-8 and an electric motor driving the wheels, with two additional motors for the front wheels. In theory, it seems Lamborghini could delete the front motors, leaving just the V-8 and single rear electric motor. A car like this could still be very powerful—the engine on its own makes 789 horsepower, and the electric motor is capable of 147 hp. In its current all-wheel drive iteration, the Temerario makes 920 hp, as the engine and electric motors make peak power at different points. Car seemed to suggest to Mohr that a rear-drive hybrid Temerario may not need a battery as large as the all-wheel drive car's 3.8-kilowatt-hour unit, and that it might not need to be a plug-in hybrid either. "This [sort of hybrid] is already available today," he said, referencing the Porsche 911's hybrid system. He called it a "super example of a completely different hybrid approach." Photo by: Lamborghini The 911's hybrid system is pretty different than what Lamborghini may do, however. Porsche uses an internal-combustion engine designed around an electric turbocharger , whereas the new Lamborghini V-8 uses conventional turbos. While Mohr didn't confirm anything, we'd be shocked if we didn't see a rear-drive Temerario. Lamborghini tends to keep its models in production for a long time, introducing many variants to keep things fresh. Rear-wheel drive supercars are also a well-established part of its business now, and the prospect of a lighter, simpler Temerario has us excited. But don't expect to see a non-hybrid version. Lamborghini just revealed the Temerario GT3 race car , which deletes the hybrid system to comply with current GT3 regulations, but Mohr says he "wouldn't bet" on a non-hybrid street car. That said, he doesn't completely rule out the possibility—but the reality of current emissions regulations makes building such a car unrealistic. Ultimate Finance reports 15% increase in H1 2025 new lending
Ultimate Finance has reported its 'highest ever' half-year origination results, with £126m ($170m) in new business lending, marking a 15% increase from the same period in 2024. The UK-based asset-based lender said it achieved positive outcomes across all business areas. In the first six months, the company's lending book reached £357m. Ultimate Finance CEO Josh Levy said: 'Our performance in the first half of 2025 is a clear demonstration of the success of our business strategy and represents another step towards realising our growth ambitions. Having all three areas of the business – working capital, asset finance, and bridging finance – working in unison is delivering real strategic value. 'We have built strong momentum, and our results reflect the strength of our team, the resilience of our local relationship-based model, and the increasing demand for our tailored finance solutions. 'Looking ahead, we are set to launch further developments in our structured finance product to address growing demand in the ABL space. We remain as committed as ever to delivering tailored funding solutions through our growing network of introducers.' During the period under review, Ultimate Finance increased its maximum invoice finance facility size from £7m to £10m, accommodating larger funding requirements and aligning with recent product improvements. It also made enhancements in bridging finance, including reduced pricing on development exit facilities and a new light-touch refurbishment offering up to an 85% day one loan-to-value ratio. Additionally, more flexibility was introduced in the release of net sales proceeds on multi-unit loans and on personal guarantee terms. Ultimate Finance also expanded its asset finance team, moved into a larger office, and increased its securitisation facility to support growing demand. Last month, the company launched its updated brand identity as part of its growth strategy. "Ultimate Finance reports 15% increase in H1 2025 new lending" was originally created and published by Leasing Life, a GlobalData owned brand.
