Many action figures, dolls, cars and other toys from the 1980s are now highly sought-after, often selling for four figures online.
We've looked at the listings on eBay for this year so far to see which toys of the 80s have sold for the biggest prices.
One rare action figure fetched a whopping £2,250, with several other vintage 80s toys selling for more than £1,000.
Obviously it helps if they're in their original packaging but even well-loved toys from the 1980s can fetch a tidy sum.

Get players to take turns tossing in three bean bags or small stones and then add up their score. HOP TO IT: Turn a garden path into an obstacle course. Use chalk to draw a series of squares or circles, each with a task. One could say, 'Hop forward three spaces,' or 'Do five star jumps' or 'Spin three times'. Kids can throw a beanbag or stone and do whatever it says on the landing space. MAKE A MURAL: Use a patio or flat area of paving big enough to fit the bodies of your family or group of friends. Get each person to lie down on the ground and draw around their bodies with chalk. Once you've traced them, add details to the outlines, drawing everyone's hair, clothes and faces. The six poshest pickleball courts to play on
Once dismissed as a mere child's pastime in northwest America during the Sixties, pickleball has become increasingly popular recently. Participation has soared since its post-pandemic boom circa 2022, with celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio and George Clooney among its fan base. Pickleball has been described as a hybrid of numerous racket sports, such as tennis, badminton, padel and ping pong. The director of spa and fitness at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess Bermuda, Menique De La Rosa, explained: 'Pickleball is played on a badminton-sized court with a modified tennis net. It's played in single or doubles, with players using paddles similar to the bats in table tennis to hit a plastic ball over the net. While padel is played on an enclosed court with walls that players use to bounce the ball, pickleball is played on an open court without walls.' • Rollercoasters, arcade games and giant slides — I've found the most fun-packed cruise ship De La Rosa believes the main reason pickleball has grown in popularity is because it is a low-impact sport that is 'easy' to learn, which is appealing to all fitness abilities and ages. With this in mind, it's unsurprising that luxury resorts across the globe are capitalising on the boom, integrating pickleball courts, fitness retreats, coaching programmes and private clinics into their offerings. From the Maldives to the Mediterranean, here are the poshest places to play, and be seen playing, pickleball all year. Situated in the north Male Atoll, Kagi Maldives is home to the first dedicated pickleball court in the Maldives. These can be found at the Princess Beach Club on a private cove in Sinky Bay, located just a 20-minute Jitney drive from the main resort. The pink and blue courts are apt considering the resort's candy-coloured exterior, which has affectionately earned it the nickname the Pink Palace. The equipment and courts are available to use daily between 10am and 5pm, all free of charge. Guests can also book lessons with the on-site pickleball professional. Enjoy a post-pickleball aperitif at the Beach Club Kitchen or a lunchtime snack at the Duchess Café and Gelateria. However, the professional coaching clinics are only available Tuesdays to Friday from 10 to 11am or 4 to 5pm. Off-court activities include sailing lessons, a two-night sea-scape on a luxury catamaran or snorkelling along the half-mile wilderness beach, which is one of the world's best beaches. Alternatively, book a soap-making masterclass, enjoy a spa visit or have a Caribbean feast at six on-site restaurants. Tucked beside an 18,000-acre nature reserve, Amanyara offers a private sanctuary to hone your pickleball technique. Its pickleball court — introduced in 2019 — joins the resort's four clay Har-Tru tennis courts, football pitch, comprehensive fitness centre, as well as Pilates, boxing and yoga studios. The Amanyara Legends Programme invites elite athletes, such as Novak Djokovic and Maria Sharapova, to lead exclusive retreats, while the pickleball professional Wes Burrows will helm an expert clinic in November. Although court access is complimentary for guests, coaching sessions start from $185 per hour — an investment if you're determined to win Amanyara's Pickleball Tournament. Woman buys Harry Potter cards at charity shop but is bowled over by real worth
A woman called Lola picked up some Harry Potter collectable cards at a charity shop, but she couldn't get over how much they were worth when she did her research at home You never know what you're going to find when you go exploring, especially when it comes to looking around charity shops. After all, they're often full of so many weird and wonderful things, and sometimes you can really snap up an expected bargain when you least expect to find one. This is exactly what happened to one woman recently when she visited a charity shop to have a look around. Lola, known as lola_amuah on TikTok, was taken by surprise when she found a tin full of Harry Potter collectable cards when she was shopping, and when she got them home she couldn't get over just how much they could be worth. In a recent video, she revealed that she found some great finds during a recent trip. She spotted a patterned jug that she seemed to love, which came complete with matching glasses too. She then came across a tin that was full of Harry Potter cards, which she decided to snap up. It sounded like she paid around £10 for them, and she thought they were "cool." However, it wasn't until she got them home that she realised just how valuable they are. Lola explained: "When we got home, we realised that we had the entire collection of those cards. "Every single one was in a plastic sleeve, and this is just one what one of them is on sale for on eBay." On the screen, she then revealed someone was flogging the single card for £245.42." This meant that she could have cards worth thousands overall, though some may obviously vary in value. Lola couldn't believe her luck when she did her research. One person replied, saying: "'You're a wizard Harry'. Those cards are so cool, and a great price." Another wrote: "Oh, tell us more about the cards." A third added: "I used to collect those Harry Potter cards as a kid." Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: "Great finds." When it comes to Harry Potter trading cards, they can vary widely in value. While some can be worth a few pounds, others can be worth hundreds or thousands - it all depends on how rare they are. If they are signed, this may also pump up the value. None the less, Lola seems to have the potential to make a great profit on one card alone. Cards with limited print runs or unique features (like holofoil or autographs) are said to be more valuable. Mint or near-mint condition cards will also bring in more money than those that are damaged or worn. If your cards feature any iconic characters or specific scenes from the books or movies, they may be more desirable to buyers. Cards signed by the main actors (Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint) can also be super valuable, particularly if they have been kept in good condition. However, you need to bear the market demand in mind. The price can also be influenced by the number of collectors and their willingness to pay a premium for certain cards. Doing a little research online will help you determine if your cards are worth anything.
