Spider-Man 2.1 gets first theatrical release in 2025 re-release event
Sam Raimi's beloved Spider-Man trilogy, starring Tobey Maguire, is swinging back into theaters this fall.
The re-release will feature all three original films in newly restored 4K resolution, including the highly anticipated Spider-Man 2.1 — an extended cut of Spider-Man 2 that has never been shown in cinemas before.
Spider-Man 2.1 includes eight additional minutes of footage and has been a fan-favorite home release since its debut on DVD. Now, audiences will have the chance to experience this extended version on the big screen for the first time.
The trilogy will be screened over two weekends with the following schedule:
Spider-Man (2002): September 26 and October 3
Spider-Man 2.1 (extended cut): September 27 and October 4
Spider-Man 3 (2007): September 28 and October 5
Tickets for the 2025 Spider-Man re-release will go on sale starting July 25.
