'I haven't seen a QB do that': Budda Baker goes on a praise parade for Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray
(Image via Getty: Budda Baker and Kyler Murray)
On a 14-minute-long chat with Mina Kimes, a Senior Writer at ESPN and an Analyst on NFL Live, Budda Baker, a safety for the Arizona Cardinals, goes on a complimenting spree for his team's quarterback, Kyler Murray.
He says that even though Murray's short(five-foot-ten), he makes a lot of throws inside and outside of the pocket. Budda also sheds light on one of his touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers, 'Even like that 49ers game where in San Fran, he points up to the touchdown 40-50 yards away, knowing he was going to score! I haven't seen a QB do that. So, it's definitely exciting.'
Budda Baker says Kyler Murray has kind of been in the bag this whole offseason
Mina Kimes asked Budda Baker on The Mina Kimes Show, 'You've been with Kyler for four years now. You all are the only players really from the 2020 team. What would you say is the number one thing about Kyler Murray that people outside of the Cardinals' building do not know?'
The 7-time Pro Bowler, Budda Baker, answered, 'Just the way that he goes about practice.
He practices really hard. He dictates. He tells receivers what to do - how to do it because you can see after each and every play - he's communicating to his guys - okay if you were supposed to sit in that zone, sit in the zone.
He's kind of been in his bag this whole offseason, doing no-look throws and having a great offseason training camp. So K1's, he's going to run a little bit more, a little outside the pocket, inside the pocket throws.

Budda Baker calls Kyler Murray the most underrated quarterback in the NFL
Mina Kimes nudged, 'Who would you say is the most underrated quarterback in the NFL?'
The NFL Solo Tackles Leader, Budda Baker, responded, 'I would say K1 because we haven't had a lot of national games. People kind of see him as a short guy, but this guy can make all the throws inside the pocket, outside the pocket. He's quick. You see it on tape - he's outrunning everybody all the time.
Even like that 49ers game where in San Fran, he points up to the touchdown 40-50 yards away, knowing he was going to score! I haven't seen a QB do that. So, it's definitely exciting. But it's cool to just lay under the weeds and have him be that underrated guy and just kinda show who he is this year and throughout the whole season.'
Kyler Murray, once called a dual-threat quarterback, is now recovering from a torn ACL suffered in 2022. Nevertheless, that has not stopped Murray from being the dual threat that he is. On April 9, Murray told PHNX Sports, 'I don't want to get too scheme-based, but I do feel like I have to run more next year. I'm open to running more next year, just because it's such a weapon, you know, it's such a weapon.'

"A spoiled child": Aaron Rodgers slammed as overrated and selfish in final NFL season amid Tom Brady comparisons
Aaron Rodgers' final NFL season with the Steelers is generating mixed reactions (Imagn Images) Aaron Rodgers is heading into his final NFL season, now wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey, but the four-time MVP's swan song is already facing scrutiny. At 41, the future Hall of Famer has made it clear this will be his last ride, but instead of a universal send-off, his legacy is under fire—especially from legends and analysts who aren't sold on his leadership credentials. Steelers embrace Aaron Rodgers , but NFL legends push back on his greatness The Steelers have rolled out the red carpet for Aaron Rodgers. Head coach Mike Tomlin praised the veteran quarterback, saying, 'I mean, read his resume. We're excited about him being here.' Tight end Pat Freiermuth also drew comparisons between Rodgers and Pittsburgh icon Ben Roethlisberger, adding, 'I think he's similar to Ben in a way, where you know he sees the game in a certain way.' — Steelersdepot (@Steelersdepot) However, not all football voices are as supportive. Hall of Famer Cris Carter took a public shot at Rodgers on the Fully Loaded podcast, questioning his football intelligence and influence in team meetings compared to other greats. 'People don't feel that same way about Aaron Rodgers because his knowledge of the game is not the same as these guys,' Carter said, referring to Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. 'He sounds like a spoiled child. Even more brutally, Steelers legend Terry Bradshaw said Rodgers was a bad fit for the franchise and took a swipe at his off-field persona: 'That guy needs to stay in California, go somewhere and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there.' Despite the noise, Rodgers remains focused. 'I mean, I played 20 freaking years, you know? It's been a long run and I've enjoyed it,' he told The Pat McAfee Show. 'Disappointed with the decision': Justin Tucker's agent slams NFL suspension, says league ignored integrity and career legacy
Justin Tucker's agent criticizes the NFL ruling but signals acceptance (Image via AP0 Veteran kicker Justin Tucker, once considered one of the most reliable players in NFL history, has been handed a 10-game suspension following a lengthy investigation into allegations of misconduct involving massage therapists. The suspension, announced Thursday, marks a stunning turn in the career of the seven-time Pro Bowler, who currently remains a free agent. Justin Tucker's agent criticizes the NFL ruling but signals acceptance The allegations, first reported by the Baltimore Banner in January, stem from 16 different massage therapists who accused Justin Tucker of inappropriate behavior dating back to his rookie season in 2012. While no criminal charges were ever filed and Maryland's statute of limitations has since lapsed for civil suits, the NFL concluded that Tucker violated its personal conduct policy. He will now be sidelined without pay starting August 26 and cannot return until mid-November. Tucker's agent, Rob Roche, issued a firm yet conciliatory statement following the decision, expressing disappointment with the league's ruling but noting that the kicker will not contest the suspension. 'We are disappointed with the NFL's decision. Justin has always strived to carry himself in a way that would make his family and community proud,' Roche said via ESPN's Adam Schefter. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Girl gives seat to old man, passengers' faces turn pale when he gives it in return. Despite his decision not to appeal, Tucker has consistently denied the allegations. Roche reinforced his client's commitment to personal growth and family life, emphasizing: 'The people who know Justin best know his character and understand that while he remains fully committed to excellence as a football player, he is deeply dedicated to his most important lifetime roles as a father, husband and friend.' Tucker's on-field reputation was once impeccable—he owns the highest field goal accuracy rate in NFL history and has won a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens. However, his career hit a sharp decline in 2024, when he converted just 73% of his kicks. Baltimore released him in May, and drafted Tyler Loop as his replacement.
