Mohamed Sami Retires from Making TV Series

Egyptian scriptwriter-director Mohamed Sami has declared his intention to leave developing TV series behind.
In a lengthy post on
Facebook
, Sami bid farewell to his fans and confirmed that his decision wasn't sudden, but one that he had been planning for some time, but he preferred to stick to his commitments until the end.
"This year marks my last television project. I bid farewell to TV series," Sami wrote. "It has been a long journey of about 15 years, during which I gave everything I could to bring joy to the Arab audience."
Sami is currently participating in the Ramadan 2025 drama marathon with his final projects: "Saeed El Nass" and "Ash Ash".
He explained that one of the main motivations for the decision was his desire to avoid falling into the trap of repetition, noting that he had given his all to television drama.
"New and talented creators are emerging every day, offering fresh perspectives," Sami noted.
He also expressed his gratitude to those who supported him throughout his career and revealed his plans to travel abroad and continue his academic journey.
"A person can choose to stop doing what they love to pursue something else, but it takes the support of family to make that decision. I'm convinced that a person can decide at any time to stop something they love to pursue something else they also love and want to try, but they need a family to support their decision," he concluded.
Sami launched his career with music videos for Haifa Wehbe, before making his first steps in television with "Adam" (2011), followed by "Maa Sabq Alesrar" (2012) and "Hekayet Hayah" (2013), both starring Ghada Abdel Razek.
He wrote and helmed the film "Regatta" (2015).
Sami also wrote and directed Tamer Hosny in the 2017 film "Tisbah Ala Khair".
He has also formed a dynamic duo with Mohamed Ramadan, teaming up on the 2023 TV series "Gaafar El Omda", the 2020 TV series 'Al Prince', the 2016 TV series 'Al-Ostora', and the 2017 film 'Jawab E'teqal'.
Throughout his 15-year career, Sami collaborated with stars like Amr Saad, Mai Omar, Ahmed Zaher, Abeer Sabry, Maged El Masry, Ahmed El Sakka, and Amir Karara.

Egypt, HK Palace Museum to co-host exhibition on ancient Egyptian civilization
Secretary-General of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities Mohamed Ismail Khaled and Director of the Hong Kong Palace Museum Louis Ng signed a cooperation agreement to organize a major temporary exhibition titled 'Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums'. The exhibition is scheduled to be held at the Hong Kong Palace Museum from November 18, 2025, to August 31, 2026. The signing ceremony took place in Hong Kong, in the presence of senior Egyptian and Chinese cultural officials. The exhibition will feature approximately 250 exceptional artifacts carefully selected from several Egyptian museums, including the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, Luxor Museum of Ancient Egyptian Art, Suez National Museum and Sohag National Museum. The exhibition will showcase recently excavated artifacts from the Saqqara archaeological site, alongside a carefully curated selection of items presently exhibited in the 'At the Summit of the Pyramid: Civilization of Ancient Egypt' exhibition in Shanghai. The exhibition focuses on three key themes: Royal Egypt, the Era of Tutankhamun, and Archaeological Discoveries from Saqqara. Following the signing ceremony, an international press conference was held to commemorate the partnership, drawing extensive media coverage both locally and internationally. In his remarks, Khaled described the exhibition as a cultural gateway to over 5,000 years of Egyptian history, marking the start of an exceptional cultural journey that deepens cooperation between Egypt and China. He described the exhibition as a timeless cultural dialogue that bridges past and present, reflecting the artistic and creative values shared by two of the world's great civilizations. He added that the inclusion of artifacts from the ongoing exhibition in Shanghai underscores its remarkable success and strong public reception in China, expressing confidence that the Hong Kong exhibition will enjoy similar acclaim and provide a rich and distinguished cultural experience. Mohamed Hamaki Is Putting Final Touches on New Album
Yara Sameh Egyptian superstar Mohamed Hamaki is putting the final touches on his new album. The record consists of 10 songs and is slated to arrive in the summer. In the album, Hamaki cooperates with new collaborations with composers Tamer Hussein, Aziz Elshafei, and more. The megastar released his last album 'Howa El Asas' in August 2024. Hamaki, born on November 4, 1975, is one of Egypt's and the Middle East's most talented male singers. He released his first single in 1997 and his first album 'Khalina Neesh' (Let's Live) in 2003. Hamaki's music career consisted of more than a dozen songs and 9 albums. Jessie J Shares Heartbreaking Update following Mastectomy
Yara Sameh British pop singer Jessie J has confirmed she's not cancer-free following her mastectomy. The 37-year-old "Price Tag" singer told her followers on Friday that her previous social media post had been "misunderstood" and "the cancer at present had unfortunately not all gone". Jessie also said she was awaiting test results and would be taking a hiatus from social media to focus on her recovery. She penned: "I posted a list of pros and cons of having breast cancer surgery. The first pro I put was... the cancer has all gone,". "This was a positive affirmation, NOT a fact. I don't have my results yet. I added the [fingers crossed emoji] in thinking people would understand, and clearly a lot didn't,". Jessie added: "A weird situation. My fault for not being clearer. But for now, I do not have my results after surgery, which was only 6 nights ago. I pray it will be true soon, but the journey of cancer isn't that simple, unfortunately." The star concluded: "Tapping off socials for a week. Healthy and needed a reset. To focus on my recovery and saying stuff that gets twisted or misread. My head and boob hurts. Lol, Bye. Always loveeeee." The confusion came after the songstress shared an Instagram update on Thursday, which read: "Pros: Cancer has all gone." She also revealed her mastectomy surgery had gone well. Adding to her list of positives, she wrote: "I can watch Love Island with no guilt. I am getting to rest and talk to friends more than ever." Jessie also noted that her partner, Chanan Safir Colman, and their son, Sky, have been very supportive. The singer later said that while she'd written the words "cancer is gone", she ended the comment with a fingers-crossed emoji as "it's a hope, not a fact". "I only had my surgery 4 days ago. I was just saying the pros of surgery, and this situation, and being positive," Jessie added."But I will get my results soon. And hopefully I can post that as a fact. But for now, I don't know.
