A charity auction for The Christie NHS Foundation Trust raised $25,700 through the sale of Peaky Blinders costumes.
A charity auction for The Christie NHS Foundation Trust raised about $25,700 through the sale of original Peaky Blinders costumes. Omega Auctions hosted the event from April 22 to May 20, culminating in a themed gathering at Manchester's Peaky Blinders bar with live bidding and costume exhibits.
Cillian Murphy's grey three-piece suit, featured in the series finale as Tommy Shelby, was sold for $2,234.
Inside the pocket, a handwritten note read 'takes off ring," referencing Shelby's emotional journey. Murphy's wool 'Tommy suit C" achieved the highest price at $4,063, according to a PA report.
Sam Claflin's hat, worn by his character Oswald Mosley, fetched $243.
Helen McCrory's coat from her role as Polly Gray, the fierce matriarch of the Shelby family, was sold for $880.
Murphy's wedding suit from Season 3 raised $2,167, and Aimee Ffion Edwards' embroidered jacket, worn by her character Esme Shelby, sold for $325.
Additional items, including ties, dresses, and shoes, were also auctioned.
The proceeds will support cancer research and patient care at Manchester's Christie Hospital. The event celebrated the show's enduring impact, blending the gritty 1920s aesthetic of Peaky Blinders with a charitable cause. The series followed Tommy Shelby's evolution from a Birmingham gangster to a political figure, facing off against fascism, communism, and personal struggles. Claflin's portrayal of Mosley reflected real-world extremism, while McCrory's Polly provided a strong, witty anchor for the Shelby family.
The Peaky Blinders franchise is set to return soon with a film sequel, written by creator Steven Knight and starring Murphy, due for release this autumn.
Running from 2013 to 2022, the series skillfully combined post-war politics with family drama, securing its cult status. Fans were able to relive the show's intensity and contribute to cancer research through their bids on these iconic costumes.

Squid Game Season 3 SMASHES streaming records with 106.3 million views in 10 Days

Just when you thought Korean content couldn't get any bigger, Squid Game Season 3 has dropped and absolutely shattered every possible streaming record. This isn't just another K-drama success story - this is a complete cultural takeover that's got 93 countries glued to their screens for two weeks straight. The numbers are absolutely mind-blowing. In just 10 days since its release on June 27th, Season 3 racked up a staggering 106.3 million views, catapulting it to the third position in Netflix's all-time non-English series rankings. To put this in perspective, that's roughly equivalent to Rs 890 crore worth of viewership engagement - a number that would make even Bollywood's biggest blockbusters jealous. When Korean Drama Meets Global Domination What makes this achievement even more incredible is that Squid Game Season 3 is the only series on the streaming giant in history to maintain the number one spot across all 93 countries for two consecutive weeks. Think about it - from Mumbai to Manchester, from Delhi to Detroit, everyone's watching the same Korean show at the same time. It's like the entire world decided to have a collective binge-watching session. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo The show pulled in 46.3 million views just in its second week (June 30 to July 6), proving that the initial hype wasn't just a flash in the pan. This kind of sustained viewership is what separates viral moments from genuine cultural phenomena. It's giving us serious FOMO vibes - the kind where you absolutely have to watch it because literally everyone else is. The Complete Squid Game Trilogy Dominance Here's where things get really wild. All three seasons of Squid Game now occupy the top three spots on the platform's non-English series hall of fame. Season 1 still holds the crown, Season 2 sits comfortably at second place, and now Season 3 has claimed the bronze. It's like watching a Korean drama clean sweep at an international awards ceremony. Even when you include English-language content, Season 3 has muscled its way to 9th place overall, surpassing popular shows like Bridgerton Season 3. It's now just 6.5 million views away from overtaking The Queen's Gambit at 8th place. At this rate, it might just crack the top 5 before the month ends. The Reverse Effect That's Breaking the Internet The success of Season 3 has created something unprecedented - a "reverse surge" for the earlier seasons. Season 1 grabbed 3.8 million views to claim the 3rd spot in weekly rankings, while Season 2 secured 4.9 million views for the 2nd position. It's like the entire Squid Game universe is experiencing a renaissance, with fans either catching up or reliving the journey. This phenomenon mirrors what we often see in the entertainment industry when a successful sequel drives audiences back to the original content. The difference here is the scale - we're talking about a global audience revisiting a Korean series simultaneously. The success of Squid Game Season 3 represents more than just entertainment triumph; it's a testament to how Korean storytelling has transcended cultural boundaries to become a universal language. For a generation that grew up consuming content from multiple cultures simultaneously, this global embrace of Korean narratives feels both natural and revolutionary. The show's ability to maintain relevance across diverse markets while telling distinctly Korean stories offers valuable insights for content creators worldwide about the power of authentic storytelling over cultural adaptation.

The brand new Accessories System in Marvel Rivals Season 3 explained

Image via NetEase Games. One of the major reasons for Marvel Rivals' unreal success is its wide variety of cosmetics. Multiplayer games generally feed on these precious in-game rewards, but this NetEase Games hero-shooter might have taken to the next level. Be it outfits, emotes, sprays, nameplates, and many more, Marvel Rivals offers everything to everyone. However, with the arrival of Season 3, a new kind of cosmetic is set to take entry into the game. What is the Accessories system in Marvel Rivals Season 3 ? Marvel Rivals Season 3 'Abyss Awakens' is just a matter of time now. With an array of brand new skin types and new features like mix and match skins MVP animations, the upcoming season has already set the tone. However, that's not the end as now a type of cosmetic called accessories is set to be featured in the game as well. So, what is it? Accessories are actually character specific objects which can be attached to your favorite heroes in Marvel Rivals. For example, the Jeff Handbag accessory can be donned like a real-life handbag by Emma Frost. On the other hand, the Deadpool Plush can be attached to the fin of Jeff the Land Shark. Just like a Valorant gun buddy, the Orochi Plush can be tagged to Psylocke's Psionic Sword. As the name suggests, the MJ Plush hands from the back of Spiderman. Groot and Rocket Raccoon have got their respective accessories themed on each other's bestfriends. Now, many fans might think, a new cosmetic means more spending. But that's not the case. Players can acquire these adorable hero-themed accessories without spending any real world money, Lattice, Units, or even Chrono Token. All they need to do is to earn Accessory Points by playing Quick Matches and Competitive game modes. After accumulating the required amount of Accessory Points, players then can exchange that for their desired accessories. However, the exact amount of Accessory Points to purchase specific accessories is yet to be revealed by NetEase Games. These accessories will be launched in Marvel Rivals with the release of Season 3, which is on July 11, 2025 .
