The actor who churned out a wave among young males with his Tere Naam look shared that his hairstyle was inspired by our former president, Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam. During the fun interaction with Kapil, Salman revealed, 'Ye jo Tere Naam ka jo look hai, woh actually inspired tha Abdul Kalam saab se aur uss dauran I think Rahul Roy ka bhi same hairstyle tha. I thought ki jo small town hero hota hai na, unke humesha lambe baal hotey hai. The yesteryear heroes all had long hair, toh waha se ye aaya tha. (My hair in Tere Naam is inspired by Abdul Kalam sir, even Rahul Roy had the same hairstyle. I thought a small town hero would have long hair like this. The yesteryear heroes all had long hair, which inspired me).' Tere Naam (2003)
Released in 2003, Tere Naam is one of Salman Khan's most iconic and intense performances. His portrayal of Radhe Mohan, the college hunk who sported a middle-parted hairstyle, cool denim jackets with his signature bracelet, inspired thousands of fans to carry on the same style.
Helmed by Satish Kaushik, Tere Naam is the Hindi remake of the 1999-release superhit film Sethu, starring Vikram. The film's music, composed by Himesh Reshammiya, also made a huge impact on audiences.
Tere Naam became a turning point in Salman Khan's career as it proved his versatility as an actor, showcasing that he can also portray raw and intense characters beyond action and comedy. The film also starred Bhumika Chawla, as Khan's love interest in the film.

‘Saiyaara' box office: Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda romance crosses ₹100 crore mark in just four days
Mohit Suri's Saiyaara, starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, continued its strong run at the box office on Monday, earning an estimated ₹22.50 crore (India net) on its fourth day. With this, the film's total domestic collection stands at approximately ₹105.75 crore, according to early figures from Sacnilk. The romantic drama had already surprised the industry with a stellar opening weekend, collecting ₹21.5 crore on Friday, followed by ₹26 crore on Saturday and ₹35.75 crore on Sunday. While Monday saw a dip of around 37% from Sunday's total, the day's earnings still exceeded those of its opening day, which is an especially rare feat for a film led by newcomers. Saiyaara has quickly emerged as one of the most successful Hindi releases of 2025. It now ranks seventh among the year's top-grossing Hindi films, overtaking the total lifetime domestic collections of several big-ticket projects, including Kesari Chapter 2 (₹92.53 crore) and Jaat (₹88.26 crore). The film is now eyeing Sikandar, Salman Khan's release, which currently sits at ₹110.1 crore. With a reported 41.87% occupancy rate on Monday — peaking at nearly 60% during night shows — Saiyaara has also outperformed recent romantic dramas by a wide margin. Its four-day total surpasses the first-week numbers of films like Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Teri Baaton Mein Aisi Uljha Jiya, and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. Driven largely by positive word-of-mouth and audience engagement on social media, Saiyaara has bucked conventional marketing trends and delivered a breakout success. The film's performance on weekdays will be crucial in determining how far it can climb in the coming weeks, but early signs suggest it's far from slowing down.

Playing role of Kader Khan: Nishikant Dubey's jibe at Oppn over questioning reasons behind Jagdeep Dhankar's resignation
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP) Nishikant Dubey on Tuesday jibed at the opposition after Congress MP Jairam Ramesh claimed that there was more to Jagdeep Dhankar's "unexpected" resignation as Vice President, implying that the opposition was being dramatic. "Opposition is playing the role of Kader Khan in the film," Dubey posted on X while citing a news report from December last year where the opposition parties moved to impeach Dhankar from the Vice President's office and accused him of being "partisan". Khan was an Indian actor, screenwriter and film producer who was known for his comic roles. Dubey said, 'Just now they came with a proposal to remove him. At least pay attention to his (Dhankar's) health.' His remarks follow Ramesh's statement that there was more to Dhankar's resignation "than meets the eye." "The sudden resignation of the Vice President and Chairman of the Rajya Sabha is as shocking as it is unimaginable. Until around 5 PM this evening, I was with him, along with several other MPs, and at 7:30 PM, I had a phone conversation with him. Undoubtedly, Jagdeep Dhankhar should prioritise his health above all else. However, it is also clear that there is more to his completely unexpected resignation than meets the eye. Nevertheless, this is not the time for speculation," the Congress leader posted on X. Ramesh highlighted his importance for the farming community and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi must persuade Dhankar to change his mind. He added that the Vice President's resignation comes ahead of him making a crucial announcement related to the judiciary. "Jagdeep Dhankhar has taken both the government and the opposition to task equally. He had called a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee yesterday at 1 PM and was about to make some important announcements related to the judiciary," the Congress leader said. "We wish him good health and urge him to reconsider his decision. We also expect the Prime Minister to persuade Jagdeep Dhankhar to change his mind. This would be in the interest of the nation. It would be a great relief, especially for the farming community," he added. Dhankhar resigned from his post on Monday evening 'to prioritise health care and abide by medical advice.' Dhankhar, the Chairperson of Rajya Sabha, sent his resignation letter to President Droupadi Murmu. Just now they came with a proposal to remove him. At least pay attention to his (Dhankar's) health. "To prioritise health care and abide by medical advice, I hereby resign as the Vice President of India, effective immediately, in accordance with Article 67(a) of the constitution," the letter read.

Mohit Suri, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's Saiyaara becomes the 7th biggest hindi grosser of 2025, Overtakes Akshay Kumar's Kesari 2 and Sunny Deol's Jaat
Mohit Suri's Saiyaara is a box office hit. The film stars Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. It has earned Rs 105.75 crore in four days. Saiyaara is now the 7th highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025. It has surpassed Kesari 2 and Jaat. The film is expected to continue its successful run. Saiyaara may challenge the top films of the year. Mohit Suri 's Saiyaara is proving to be more than just a successful launchpad for debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda — it's now a full-fledged box office sensation. With Rs 105.75 crore net in just four days, the romantic drama has officially jumped two spots in the box office rankings to become the 7th highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025, surpassing major star-driven projects like Akshay Kumar 's Kesari 2 and Sunny Deol 's Jaat. Mohit Suri Spills On 20 Years In Bollywood - Ahaan & Aneet, Alia Bhatt Dream Collab & More The film's day-wise collections speak volumes about its momentum: Day 1 (Friday): Rs 21.5 crore Day 2 (Saturday): Rs 26 crore Day 3 (Sunday): Rs 35.75 crore Day 4 (Monday - Early Estimates): Rs 22.5 crore These numbers take Saiyaara's total to Rs 105.75 crore, placing it just behind Sikandar (Rs 110.36 crore) and Sky Force (Rs 113.62 crore). In doing so, it has already beaten: Kesari 2 – Rs 92.58 crore Jaat – Rs 88.72 crore This is no small feat considering Kesari 2 is a big-budget drama led by Akshay Kumar, and Jaat featured Sunny Deol riding high on his post-Gadar 2 resurgence. Yet, despite the lack of marquee stars, Saiyaara has managed to pull in audiences purely on the strength of its storytelling, emotional core, chartbuster music, and a fresh lead pair that has struck a chord with the youth. What's even more impressive is that this milestone has been achieved in just four days. With no major competition in the upcoming weekend — following the postponement of Son of Sardaar 2 to August 1 — Saiyaara is poised for an uninterrupted run at the box office. If current trends continue, the film is expected to surpass Sikandar – Ra and Sky Force within the next 24 hours, potentially becoming one of the Top 5 grossers of the year by the end of Week 1. As of now, the top Hindi films of 2025 are led by Chhaava (Rs 585.70 crore), followed by Housefull 5 (Rs 183.38 crore), Raid 2 (Rs 173.44 crore), and Sitaare Zameen Par (Rs 165.49 crore). But Saiyaara has now officially entered the conversation and could very well become the 2nd biggest hit of the year.
