EastEnders reveals who stole Kat's phone as Zoe's imminent return 'sealed'

Daily Mirror2 days ago
EastEnders latest episode saw Kat Moon's phone stolen by a masked thief before she could listen to Alfie's voicemail message, and now Zoe Slater's return could be very soon
There was a twist involving one of the Mitchells on EastEnders on Monday night.

Kat Moon was just about to listen to her husband Alfie Moon's voicemail message, which she didn't know revealed all about the recent return of her daughter Zoe Slater, when she was mugged. A masked man on a bike sped past and grabbed the phone out of her hand.

Later in the episode we learned the thief was none other than Harry Mitchell. He was shown playing around with a phone before chucking it in a bag in frustration.

As he did this, the camera panned to the inside of the bag, with multiple phones shown. One of them had Kat and her young twin sons as a wallpaper, showing that it was Kat's mobile and Harry was the thief on the bike.
But will he return the phone, and will Kat ever hear the voicemail? In the message, Alfie had wrongly believed Kat knew he was off finding Zoe after her abrupt return weeks ago.

Zoe refused to see Kat and fled abroad, with Alfie soon heading off to try and bring her home. He was forced to tell Stacey Slater he'd lost her last week, after a trail ran cold following Stacey giving her money to Kat for the pub, instead of giving it to Alfie to pay off some men in the hope of locating Zoe.
Both Stacey and Alfie have kept it all from Kat and instead, Stacey allowed Kat to think Alfie was helping her cousin Hayley and Alfie's daughter Cherry. So Alfie faced a race against time to get the phone and delete the voicemail to stop Kat learning the truth.
But instead, Harry stole the phone which means the message will remain on there unless it deletes after a certain amount of time. So whether Harry returns the phone or she gets it back somehow all remains to be seen.

Surely the message is a ticking time-bomb, as is the truth about Zoe. Will this phone theft and the message somehow trigger Zoe's comeback?
After all, we know Zoe is returning to Walford very soon. Michelle Ryan, the actress who plays Zoe, has already begun filming summer scenes. With it very nearly August and her filming for weeks, it's safe to assume Zoe will be back in Albert Square, for the first time in two decades, very, very soon.

Within a few weeks it's thought she will be back on the show, given the gap between filming and transmission. So something has to happen relatively soon that will trigger Zoe's Walford comeback - but will it be linked to Harry and the phone theft?
Might he answer a call or listen to the message and realise the importance of Kat getting her phone back? Might Zoe make contact? Viewers will just have to tune in and see what happens next.

Folk singer first and only person to be mauled to death by 'freak' coyotes on hike

Taylor Mitchell was a talented folk singer who was brutally attacked by a pack of coyotes while hiking in Canada. The 19-year-old was the first ever adult to die from a coyote attack At just 19 years old, Taylor Mitchell became the first adult ever to tragically lose her life in a fatal coyote attack while hiking on a popular trail in Canada, leaving experts puzzled over how such an incident could have occurred. ‌ Taylor, who aspired to be a professional folk singer, had released her debut album, For Your Consideration. This would sadly be the last music she would ever produce. ‌ After a busy summer filled with performances, she decided to set off on a small tour of Eastern Canada, equipped with her new car and driver's license. ‌ However, when she hit the road, neither the teenager nor her family could have anticipated she wouldn't return home. Eager for an adventure, Taylor arrived at the Skyline Trail, the most frequented walk in Cape Breton Highlands National Park, which attracts up to 25,000 visitors annually. Despite being appropriately dressed, carrying no food in her backpack, and it being broad daylight, Taylor was one of the extremely unfortunate ones to be attacked by a pack of wild coyotes. She was discovered on the Nova Scotia trail shortly after the attack, but tragically, it was already too late, reports the Mirror. ‌ Four fellow hikers stumbled upon Mitchell during the attack and did everything they could to fend off the coyotes while she lay critically injured. Strangely enough, Taylor was seen both before and after the attack, but there were no witnesses to the actual mauling. After hearing distant screams, a group of hikers were confronted with Taylor's horrific situation. Moments after hearing her desperate cries, they walked along the access road and began to discover her personal belongings. Keys and a small knife were found on the ground before they stumbled upon torn and bloodied clothing, along with large pools of blood, all belonging to the 19 year old girl. ‌ Shortly thereafter, at 3:25pm, the strangers discovered Taylor's body lying nearby, with a coyote standing over her. She was still conscious and able to communicate with the group that found her while they awaited medical assistance. Paramedics managed to transport her to the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre in Chéticamp, where she remained in critical condition and was soon airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre. Tragically, despite the tireless efforts of the medical teams, Taylor succumbed to her injuries due to blood loss later that evening, on October 27, 2009. ‌ Her tragic death left experts puzzled as to what prompted the coyotes to attack her, having seen no reports or issues with the animals in the park prior to the incident. They decided to conduct some tests to understand the factors behind such a horror and discovered that the coyotes were in fact eastern coyotes carrying a wolf gene, but the extent to which this contributed to Taylor Mitchell's death remains unknown. An obituary has been crafted to celebrate the life of Taylor, lovingly prepared by her sister Emily Mitchell. The tribute on the website reads: "Wise beyond her years and an environmentalist at a very early age, Taylor understood the unbreakable connection between animal and human life and was involved with various causes for habitat conservation. "Taylor, whose musical star was on the rise, had a break during her first Maritimes tour and was doing what she loved-spending time in nature's fold-when the attack occurred." Since the tragic incident in 2009, there have been no further reports of adults succumbing to fatal coyote attacks.

Danny Dyer's staggering earnings revealed after being 'so skint' when BBC offered him EastEnders role that he 'couldn't afford a lager'

Danny Dyer staggering earnings have been revealed after he raked in huge amounts from a string of hit shows over the last year. The actor, 47, recently admitted he was once 'so skint' he couldn't even afford to buy BBC execs a lager when they offered him a role on EastEnders in 2013. But thanks to his successes, accounts filed at Companies House have revealed that his firm, Arty Bucco, made £1.4million in the last financial year. The figures show Danny has made a huge £712,221 more than the previous year. In 2023, he quit his role as Mick Carter on the BBC soap EastEnders after nine years to try other things and the move appears to have paid off. Since then, he's leaned into his softer side and taken on a variety of different roles - including Jilly Cooper's Rivals and an emotional appearance on ITV 's new show The Assembly. Danny also reportedly bagged £100,000 for presenting television series The Wall. He recently revealed his children get driven to their swish private school in a Bentley, after his role in EastEnders and a series of top films saw his bank account swell. But it all could have been so different for national treasure Danny, who previously told the Jonathan Ross Show: 'I didn't have an audition, they rung me up, I had a touch. 'They said, "Listen we want you to come in the show, take over the Queen Vic" and at the time I was skint and I just had about enough petrol money to get there, that's the truth. 'They thought I was a multimillionaire and I met them in the hotel and I walked in absolutely skint, not a bean about me. I thought, I hope they don't ask me to get them a lager because I've got no dough. 'They sat me on a throne and said how great I was and how they wanted me to come in and take over the Vic and [I was] going to have a really big storyline about having a gay son.' Danny explained he made out it was no big deal, but secretly he was overjoyed by the career-saving offer. He said: 'I was like, "Wow, I want to do a cartwheel in front of them" but I thought, "Play it down, don't show your bolt too early." The actor added: 'I went, "I'll think about it" and then I walked out and I did a couple of backflips on the way out! I played it right down, I didn't want to look desperate and I was desperate.' Speaking about what he might have had to do if the role didn't come up, Danny said: 'I might have had to go and load skips Jon, I just couldn't catch a cold, I was doing nightclub appearances.' In 2023, the Marching Powder star put his past financial woes down to a run of 's*** films' including 2012's Run For Your Wife which made just £602 in its opening weekend. He told The Sun: 'I was on my a**e. I was f***ed. I had made too many bad films. I'd had my shot and made some good stuff. I had resorted to going to nightclubs and waving off balconies. 'That chips away at your soul that I'll tell ya. Where do you go from there?' His life now is worlds away from the dark pre-EastEnders days and Danny told ITV's new show The Assembly last month that his kids head to their private school in Chigwell in style. Each episode of the series sees a different celebrity face questions from a group of autistic, neurodivergent and learning disabled people, which will force them to cast aside their media training, with no topic off limits. And in last week's instalment, he said that because of his fame, his kids have never been on a bus and instead get driven 'door to door in a Bentley'. Danny, who hails from east London, has three children with his wife Joanne – Sunnie, 18, Arty, 11, and reality star Dani, 28, who won the fourth series of ITV dating show Love Island. He revealed in March that they were going to send his son to a private school in Chigwell.

A couple who met on the set of Emmerdale when they played on-screen siblings are set to get married next week, with Max Parker and Kris Mochrie tying the knot very soon Former Emmerdale star Max Parker has announced the date of his wedding to former co-star Kris Mochrie. Max, who began a romance with Kris after meeting on the set, has teased that their nuptials are now just days away. ‌ Kris, 40, and Max, 33, who played brothers Lee Posner and Luke Posner respectively on the ITV soap opera, have been together since 2020 after meeting behind-the-scenes. Although on-screen siblings, the two actors, who have both since left Emmerdale, didn't share any scenes together. ‌ They got engaged just over three years ago, with Max having proposed to his partner Kris in January 2022. They are now preparing to get married next week. The news comes after Corrie star Jack P. Shepherd married his fiancée in a star-studded wedding in Manchester over the weekend. ‌ Max announced yesterday that it's just a week until he married Kris. The actor shared posts on Instagram that confirmed that they are just days away from exchanging vows, three years on from the couple's engagement. Alongside a photo of them both dressed up in suits, Max wrote: "7 days and we're married." He tagged his fiancé Kris, whose tie he was adjusting in the photo, in the post that was shared with his followers on the platform this week. ‌ Max also shared a photo of them raising a toast with glasses ahead of their upcoming wedding recently. The photo, which featured a fire in the background, was accompanied by a caption that read: "1 week til we get HITCHED!" It comes after Kris announced last year that the couple would be getting married in August this year. Alongside an engagement ring emoji, Kris wrote in a post on the platform almost a year ago: "365 days to go & 365 things to do." ‌ The couple got engaged in 2022, with Kris sharing the news at the time after Max, who he described as his "best friend," proposed on a beach. He shared that the proposal had been "perfect" and said he was a "very lucky boy". Kris wrote: "The beautiful soul that is my best friend asked me to marry him yesterday. I can't begin to describe how happy I am. I love him beyond words, we laugh every single day and I'm so so grateful that he came in to my life." ‌ He continued: "I had no idea at all! But it was just perfect… I mean this film says it all. Max had asked my Mum for any jewellery that my Gran had. Mum still had my Grans locket and he has had it made in to the middle of the engagement ring on the inside. So so special." Kris concluded his post at the time by writing: "Thank you to the job that brought us together, our incredible family and friends. And the amazing love from you all. I'm a very lucky boy. WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!!!!!"
