Travis Kelce dismisses claims he and Taylor Swift are 'seeking attention'

USA Today17 hours ago
Travis Kelce is shaking off haters and doubling down on date nights with girlfriend Taylor Swift after the couple has been seen in public over the past week and received some online backlash for seeking attention.
The Kansas City tight end talked to the podcast hosts of "Bussin' With The Boys" for 90 minutes about Chiefs' season expectations, NFL retirement, acting with Adam Sandler in the new "Happy Gilmore" sequel and his relationship with Swift.
"Having fun with it man, being a couple," Kelce said about his relationship. "It gets thrown out there, like we're trying to seek attention every now and then, but it's like we're just enjoying life and having fun going to hockey games, kinda introducing her to some more of the sports world."
What is Tight End University? What to know about annual Nashville summit after surprise Taylor Swift performance.
While hosts Will Compton and Taylor Lewan talked about encounters they've had with some Swifties, Kelce stayed quiet for the remainder of the segment. The "Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?" host said the most unexpected thing to get used to while dating one of the biggest stars on the planet is the paparazzi.
"That's probably the craziest part," he said, "like I'm just playing golf and all of a sudden in the trees there's a [bleeping] guy with a camera."
Earlier in the broadcast Compton, who attended Tight End University in Nashville where Swift gave a surprise performance of "Shake It Off," said that all attendees had to be vetted and photos needed to go through approval before getting posted.
"You can't post anything until it gets cleared," he said.

Travis Kelce adorably recaps Taylor Swift TEU show: 'Tay Tay showed up'

Travis' recap of Taylor's performance at TEU 🥹♥️ The 2025 summer of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift got kicked off with an amazing moment: after Swift appeared at Tight End University parties, she performed Shake It Off for the crowd in Nashville. While we did know that she prepped the band for the performance, we didn't know how this all came together. Luckily, Kelce and his brother Jason broke it all down on the latest New Heights podcast. And, of course, it was adorable. "Tay Tay showed up," Travis said. "We had this planned for a while that we were going to have some fun with the tight ends." He wouldn't reveal when the plan came about, but knowing singer Kane Brown would be there, "Tay just kind of went up to him and the band and just was like, 'Hey, if you guys are down, I'll go up there and play a song, and see if we can pop the roof off this place." He added that she's "so good" with everybody and making people feel comfortable. Listen to the whole thing below: Wonderful all around. And in case you didn't see that recent performance, here you go: THE WAY SHE SANG 'BE ALRIGHT!!' shake it off but make it country!!! Thank you to Swift and Kelce for this fantastic moment and recap.

Animated Movie Screenshot Trivia — BuzzFeed Quizzes

Maybe this is just the adult in me talking, but as I've gotten older, I've become less and less obsessed with animated movies. Not because I don't like them anymore, but because I feel like they just don't hit the same way. Like, nothing else will ever come close to the Shrek, Toy Story and Monsters, Inc. era to me. But there are still some gems here and there, and differentiating them is your challenge today. Particularly if you're over the age of 25, this is about to be realllll tough. I'll give you a screenshot, and you'll tell me which recent animated movie it's from. Ready? And there's lots more where this came from, so check out BuzzFeed Canada on Instagram and TikTok!
