Travis Kelce adorably recaps Taylor Swift TEU show: 'Tay Tay showed up'
The 2025 summer of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift got kicked off with an amazing moment: after Swift appeared at Tight End University parties, she performed Shake It Off for the crowd in Nashville.
While we did know that she prepped the band for the performance, we didn't know how this all came together. Luckily, Kelce and his brother Jason broke it all down on the latest New Heights podcast. And, of course, it was adorable.
"Tay Tay showed up," Travis said. "We had this planned for a while that we were going to have some fun with the tight ends."
He wouldn't reveal when the plan came about, but knowing singer Kane Brown would be there, "Tay just kind of went up to him and the band and just was like, 'Hey, if you guys are down, I'll go up there and play a song, and see if we can pop the roof off this place."
He added that she's "so good" with everybody and making people feel comfortable. Listen to the whole thing below:
Wonderful all around. And in case you didn't see that recent performance, here you go:

Brad Pitt on Why He Loves Making Sports Movies Like ‘F1' and ‘Moneyball'
F1: The Movie may have just released, but it seems like it won't be the last time Brad Pitt stars in a sports movie. Pitt was a guest on a Wednesday episode of the New Heights podcast, hosted by Kansas City Chiefs' tight end Travis Kelce and former Philadelphia Eagles' center Jason Kelce. During their conversation, Jason asked the Oscar winner if he wants to do another sports film after watching his 'very cinematic' film, F1. More from The Hollywood Reporter How F1 Fan Keanu Reeves Became the Face of Cadillac's New Racing Docuseries (Exclusive) MLB on Sling TV: Here's How to Watch Major League Baseball Games Live Online Without Cable F1 British Grand Prix 2025 Livestream: How to Watch the Race Online Free The actor responded, 'I love a sports movie when they work … It's the greatest. I look back at Gene Hackman and Hoosiers and [Robert] Redford and The Natural, there's even something more. Sports for me, even one game is an entire lifetime.' While speaking to the Kelce brothers, who have both won Super Bowl championships, he continued, 'We watch you guys, we watch your fate. We watch how you deal with adversity, how you fight through it and it's really an amazing metaphor for a lifetime.' Before F1, one of Pitt's most loved projects was in 2011's Moneyball, which The Hollywood Reporter included in its list of the best baseball movies of all time. The film was nominated for six Academy Awards, including a nom for Pitt in the best actor category. 'When we get it right in these sports movies and I felt like we really got it right in Moneyball in a lovely, beautiful way to add to that lexicon,' he said. 'I think this one does too on a really big level because the racing is probably the most visceral racing experience you'll ever have. But like all great sports movies, when they're great, there's also a story there. You're moved by it. And were funny as fuck. So, we got that to deliver it, but this kind of spiritual ending to it all, I'm really proud about.' Elsewhere in the podcast, Pitt explained that he enjoys watching what the new generation of actors is doing. 'I like to see what they are up against and the way they negotiate and work their way through it. They enjoy it more. We were more uptight and it had to be about acting and 'You didn't sell out, you didn't sell out.' But now it's like, 'We can be artists in many different arenas, so let's do it and let's enjoy it.'' However, he concluded by sharing some advice. 'But they also get caught up in you 'have to have a franchise' or 'have to have a superhero.' But I keep saying, 'Don't! Don't! One day they'll die.'' Chiefs' Travis Kelce Subtly Reveals Retirement Dream
Chiefs' Travis Kelce Subtly Reveals Retirement Dream originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce could be embarking on his final NFL season in 2025, and as we know, the future Hall of Famer has a lot of irons in the fire. Advertisement His "New Heights" podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason, is a huge hit and his relationship with Taylor Swift may lead to some partnerships after football. But Kelce might have other plans entirely. On a recent episode of "Bussin' With The Boys" podcast, Travis subtly revealed what he hopes he could do when his career ends. "I wanna see what calling a game feels like," Kelce said. "Getting in the booth. I've always impersonated guys that call the games and stuff like that growing up. I don't know, I thought it would always be fun to just jump in there. Player names is where I would get [expletive] ruined." Advertisement Kansas City Chiefs' Travis Kelce is entering his 13th year in the Chenoy-Imagn Images So Kelce could follow in the footsteps of Tony Romo and Tom Brady—and his own brother Jason, who is now at ESPN—and make his way into the broadcast booth. Given how many ex-players are currently in the media, we think Kelce might take to it rather well. Of course, it doesn't always pan out as Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten tried his hand at it, and it didn't exactly go too well. So broadcasting isn't for everyone, but Kelce's knowledge of the game and his personality might be a good fit for television if he were to retire at the end of this season. There's no denying Kelce will have his fair share of offers after his football career ends — and who knows, he might just be the next player to enter the broadcast booth. Travis Kelce Reveals Major Challenge in Personal and Professional Life
Travis Kelce Reveals Major Challenge in Personal and Professional Life originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Travis Kelce can in interviews alternate back-and-forth between being charming and funny and self-effacing… And smart. The Kansas City Chiefs superstar was interviewed recently on the 'Bussin' with the Boys' podcast, and he found himself talking about how the most difficult thing about hosting "SNL,'' as he recently did with great comedic success, is what is called the pre-show "table read.'' It's part of the weekly prep, and per reviews of Kelce working as the host for the 14th episode of season 48, it was a "Saturday Night Live'' hit. And as Kelce gradually shifts from the NFL to the entertainment world - with guidance no doubt from pop icon girlfriend Talyor Swift - he enjoyed the work. Or, rather, most of it. 'The writers' rooms were fun because you're just getting pitched ideas,'' he said. But ... "The table reading, for a guy that can't really read that well, it was kind of a (expletive) situation.' Kelce stated. 'I felt like I was just trying to get through the reading instead of actually acting it out and giving it a voice and giving it a character and things like that. "I was just focused on, 'Don't (expletive) skip this line.'' As far as fans of the Super Bowl champion and future Hall of Famer are concerned, Kelce seems to be able to master any number of tasks with ease. But ... is reading really a relative struggle for him? Even if he's being a bit modest, it's a revelation that might also count as an inspiration for young people who might have their own struggles. And Kelce is certainly making it work now as he is making a stunningly strong transition into Hollywood the last few years, achieving a role in the FX's series 'Grotesquerie,' and an even bigger and more high-profile 'Happy Gilmore' sequel in which he will play a role with his acting buddy Adam story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jul 3, 2025, where it first appeared.
