Summerside Police Services responded to a report of a break-and-enter in progress at Callbeck's Home Hardware on Water Street around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
A store staff member told police CCTV footage showed a masked individual on the property who 'was determined to have forced entry into a warehouse.'
Officers arrived at the store while the suspect was still at the scene.

break and enter
possession of break-in instruments

Saskatoon woman killed in two-vehicle crash on Circle Drive
A 73-year-old Saskatoon woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Circle Drive Tuesday morning. First responders were called to the intersection of Circle Drive and Laurier Drive just after 8 a.m., Saskatoon police said in a news release. Police say a black Kia van merged onto Circle from Laurier Drive and struck a white Buick SUV, which then crashed into a pole. The 73-year-old driver of the white Buick was killed in the collision. Police say the driver of the Kia van and the passenger in the Buick SUV were not seriously injured. The Buick could be seen resting on the median as collision analysts examined the scene Tuesday, with an ambulance blocking the area from the oncoming crush of morning traffic. The front end of the Buick was flattened by the impact, and the hood stood bent and twisted toward the sky. The vehicle's airbags had deployed in the crash, then hung deflated in the windows while firefighters, paramedics and police worked to clear the site. Police said traffic restrictions were lifted by 1:30 p.m.
