Popular Front Calls for Formation of Community Protection Committees
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) on Thursday held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the massacre carried out by settler gangs in the town of Kafr Malik, northeast of Ramallah. The PFLP stated that this crime is part of systematic policies of ethnic cleansing and ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the PFLP said: 'The surge in these crimes in recent months is happening under the cover of the Israeli military and with direct incitement from the so-called Israeli cabinet—led by war criminals Netanyahu, Ben Gvir, and Smotrich—who are pushing to inflame the Palestinian territories, escalate confrontations, and intensify Judaization, settlement expansion, annexation, and attacks across the West Bank and Jerusalem.'
The group called for 'the immediate formation of popular protection committees in cities, villages, and refugee camps to confront settler attacks and safeguard our people.' It also emphasized that 'the Palestinian Authority's security services bear the responsibility of acting immediately to protect civilians and confront settler violence. This is an existential battle, and every Palestinian community is now a target.'
The statement concluded: 'The blood of the martyrs in Kafr Malik will not be shed in vain. Our people will not stand idly by in the face of these assaults, and the occupation and its gangs will pay a heavy price for their crimes—no matter how long it takes.'
