Real Housewives of Sydney star Nicole O'Neil sensationally slams TV host Osher Gunsberg and takes a swipe at Binge over budget controversy: 'It's a very convenient narrative'

Daily Mail08-05-2025
Real Housewives of Sydney star Nicole O'Neil has called out Osher Gunsberg and Binge on Instagram after the explosive reunion episode saw her catapulted into the centre of production budget controversies.
The reality star, 45, who has been a regular face on the show since its inception in 2017, was absent from the season three grand finale on Tuesday night, a fact TV host Osher pointed out as her fellow castmates took to the couch.
RHOS ' Terry Biviano proceeded to slam the housewife for her decision to tune in via video link and Osher went on to say that Binge offered to pay for her airfare, but she declined, implying that she wasn't happy with economy class.
Now, Nicole has responded to the bombshell claims on Instagram, coming out with guns blazing - and receipts.
The business-owner posted a picture of an email chain between her and Binge which revealed producers knew she had 'prior engagements overseas' when they had organised the reunion.
'There's a difference between not showing up - and being set up. If we're talking commitments, then let's talk facts @osher_gunsberg,' she sensationally wrote in the post's caption.

'The reunion was filmed long after the official production window. I'd already made several international trips for filming dates that never happened,' she revealed.
'And for the second year in a row, they scheduled the reunion during a time they knew I was unavailable.'
Nicole then went on to reveal the measly amount producers offered her to make the trip back to Australia after expecting her to foot the airfare.
'I was never offered "an economy ticket" - just a token amount, barely enough for a one-way fare, and only a month out from filming,' she wrote.
'A 48+ hour round trip, at the expense of critical work commitments, for a reunion months after it was initially planned for.'
'I made the effort to be there via satellite. But I didn't write the storyline, production did - and it turns out it's a very convenient narrative.'
Real Housewives of Sydney's explosive reunion episode aired on Tuesday night and was jam-packed with feuds, fiery showdowns and friendships coming to a close.
However, a comment made about Binge's budget was the real shocker of the reality show's grand finale, after weeks of speculation over the streaming platform's tight purse strings.

TV host Osher welcomed Krissy Marsh, Caroline Gaultier, Victoria Montano, Sally Obermeder, Terry Biviano, Kate Adams and Martine Chippendale to the couch, but notably pointed out that one of the housewives was missing from the lineup.
'Nicole is not on the couch tonight,' he told viewers, adding that she couldn't make it the third season's finale as she was in the UK, but would appear virtually on a video call.
Terry was quick to bash her castmate for missing the sit-down, saying that they 'all signed up for the same thing' and had made sacrifices to be on the show.
However, it was Victoria that butted in to reveal the real reason Nicole was absent from the reunion.
'She did offer to come back,' Victoria iterated.
'She said 'pay for my flight and I'll be there' and they said 'no',' she told viewers, seemingly referring to Binge's producers.
'Why should they pay for her flight?' Terry questioned the housewife, adding that she had changed family plans for a wedding to attend the sit-down.
TV host Osher was quick to put out the flames of Victoria's fiery accusation, saying that it was Nicole who turned down Binge's travel arrangements.

'Well, the facts are Victoria that, yes, she did offer to fly back. There was a budget for that. It was economy class and that was not acceptable,' he said.
'And it's totally unacceptable Osher, like, I agree. It's a very long flight,' she quickly retaliated.
Terry then reentered the showdown, asking why Nicole didn't just upgrade herself if she was unhappy about the class of the airfare.
'Because usually you don't pay for work expenses,' Victoria sensationally said, ending the line of questioning.

The AFL grand final is seven weeks away - but airlines are already being accused of RIPPING OFF fans of one famous club

Footy fans have fumed at several airlines after multiple carriers have upped their prices for flights into Melbourne ahead of this year's Grand Final on Saturday, September 27. Specifically, Adelaide Crows fans, hoping their side might reach their first Grand Final at the MCG since 2017, could be forced to pay hefty air fares if they're looking to travel to Melbourne on the eve of the showpiece event. Matthew Nicks' side are flying high as we head into the final three regular-season matches, with the Crows having won six matches on the bounce, which culminated this weekend in their massive 101-87 victory against Hawthorn. While they sit joint top of the league, tied on 60 points with the Crows, the club's fans are preparing for the possible eventuality that they could be in for a trip to Melbourne for Grand Final day. While there is a long way to go for the Crows, who haven't won a premiership since 1998, and also haven't qualified for finals in eight years, some fans have been left aggrieved at the shocking prices some airlines are charging to get from the City of Churches to Melbourne around Grand Final weekend. On Friday, September 26, the day before the big match, Virgin Australia is offering economy tickets to fly from Adelaide to Melbourne Tullamarine, with the lowest-priced seats coming in at $250. Economy fares on two flights at 8:40am and 11:50am are both on sale for $791 - the top priced figures. Qantas has also upped its fees on Grand Final eve, with economy tickets for flights leaving Adelaide at 10:05am and 12:15pm set to cost Crows fans $785. The airline is also offering fares on Thursday, September 25. The top-priced economy fare for that day is set to also set fans back $437. Jetstar has priced its top fares on Grand Final eve at $350. One Crows fan told Seven News: 'It just ruins what should be one of the best days of the season.' 'Make the people happy, let them get over there. It's about going over for the Grand Final or a final and having a ball,' another fan said. Crows fan and mum of two, Kim Skypyrek, said the fees were 'insane'. 'Fair enough if it's one person and they've saved some money but it's really hard for people to be able to afford that,' she told Northern Territory News. Qantas has also upped its fees on Grand Final eve, with economy tickets for flights leaving Adelaide at 10:05am and 12:15pm set to cost Crows fans $785 'If it came down to it we'd just send my husband (Michael) and our son (Ambrose) so that they could go and enjoy it.' But there are other ways fans can get to the footy and dodge the high air fares. Fans can take the train, but that entails an 11-hour journey and is likely to cost around $150. Meanwhile, other fans are arranging their own transport and will embark on an eight-hour trip via bus to Melbourne, should the Crows reach the final. 'A group of twelve of us can drive over, hire a bus and rent out a house cheaper than [the cost of] flights for four,' Skypyrek added. 'Regardless of who's in it, whether we get to go into the grand final or not, we just want to be in Melbourne for the weekend and experience it.'

Lynne McGranger shares shock career news after winning Gold Logie and retiring from Home and Away

All signs pointed to Lynne McGranger retiring from acting for good when she won the Gold Logie on Sunday night. The veteran actress, who quit Home and Away earlier this year, appeared content to rest on her laurels after a decades-long career. But the 72-year-old revealed on Monday that she is far from finished when it comes to her acting aspirations. 'I'm not retiring, absolutely not,' she told The Daily Telegraph following her Gold Logie win. 'If I had the opportunity to come back to television at some point, of course I would consider it depending on the role and the show … but not another 33 years because otherwise I'd be very, very old.' The star has already lined up her next gig - she is touring with the stage play, The Grandparents Club. Lynne has the lead role in the musical comedy, which is on the road around Australia until October. The performer says that the 'stars have aligned' for her, and she's 'very comfortable' with her choice to quit the soap and pursue a stage career. McGranger took home the crown on Sunday night when she was awarded the Gold Logie at The Star in Sydney. She took to the 2025 Logies stage with a smile in her gold gown as she accepted the award from 2009 winner Rebecca Gibney. Lynne beat TV stars Ally Langdon, Hamish Blake, Julia Morris, Poh Ling Yeow and Sonia Kruger for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television. 'Wear a pretty dress they said. You'll be fine they said,' joked Lynne, who recently announced she was leaving her soap show after 33 years. 'I'm thrilled and honoured... I don't know if any of you have caught my press lately. There hasn't been much,' she said. 'I did promise if I won the Gold Logie, I would carry it around in my handbag for a year, which is better than baring my white a** on TV, Larry,' she added. The joke was in reference to The Morning Show host Larry Emdur having his behind tattooed live on air last year after he won the Gold Logie. Lynne then joked she would have her ashes put in the Logie when she dies, before thanking her Home and Away co-stars and crew. McGranger filmed her final scenes for Home and Away in March, saying goodbye to her character, Irene, after over 30 years in the cast. She was gifted flowers by her co-stars, including Ada Nicodemou, and looked very emotional - albeit elated - as she finished up at Seven's long-running serial. 'I've had the ride of my life. And I love each and every one of you so much: The cast – Ray, Georgie, Emily, Shane, Ada, James, all the young'uns,' she said in a statement. 'The art department, the writers, everybody – there are so many unsung heroes. This show is made up of so many parts,' Lynne continued. 'You're all amazing, and it's been my great privilege to work with each and every one of you. I'm touched, I'm humbled and I'm so honoured. Thank you so much.'

Dave Hughes blasts 'd**khead' AFL coach in wild outburst on the Logies red carpet - as footy great is busted in cheeky act during ceremony

Dave Hughes has launched a brutally scathing attack on Collingwood boss Craig McRae for holding secret 'dates' with Carlton star Jack Silvagni, in a bid to lure the key defender away from the Blues. The comedian is a massive Carlton fan and didn't hold back while stood on the red carpet at the Logie Awards on Sunday, branding McRae a 'd***head'. The subject of coaches attending meetings to tap up players has been a hot topic this season, with Hawks boss Sam Mitchell meeting up with West Coast free agent Oscar Allen at the start of the season. Allen, the Eagles' captain, was blasted for attending the meeting and later delivered an apology to West Coast supporters. While on the Red Carpet, Hughes followed in suit of under-pressure Blues boss Michael Voss, taking aim at McRae who had openly admitted he had met with Silvagni in a bid to poach the 27-year-old from his beloved footy club. McRae had also stated that he was keen for a follow-up meeting with Silvagni, who was drafted to the Blues back in 2016. 'I'm not as upset as the Collingwood players who aren't contracted yet who are not getting the money they want because their coach is out dating a Carlton player,' Hughes said to The Herald Sun. 'That's a poor thing, he shouldn't have done that. McRae made a mistake then and he's paying for it.' His comments came after Collingwood suffered a 27-point defeat by Brisbane at the MCG on Saturday night. Logan Morris booted a whopping six goals for the Lions, with the lacklustre Pies being overwhelmed by the brilliance of Lachie Neale, Hugh McCluggage, Josh Dunkley and Will ashcroft - who all amassed over 30 disposals during the match. 'They (Collingwood) were s*** last night (against Brisbane),' Hughes fumed. 'Wonder why they didn't go as hard, maybe because you're dating a Carlton player during the week, you d***head.' Voss was equally scathing in his appraisal of McRae's decision to meet with Silvagni, hinting that his decision to go public on the secret 'date' was putting greater pressure the key defender. 'It''s unusual for a coach to announce something like that,' Voss said ahead of Sunday's clash with Fremantle in Perth. 'Regardless of what Craig did, it's not something we would do. We will respect the privacy of the player. 'It's not for me to announce something like that on behalf of someone, because they're the ones that have to walk back into the locker room.' Voss and McRae played together at the Brisbane Lions, but noting the backlash Oscar Allen received earlier this year following his contract furore, Voss said this is something his side would not have done. 'We'd choose not to make that sort of announcement,' he said. 'And while I didn't necessarily read all the headlines around Oscar, I believe he came under a fair bit of heat.' 'I want to be really clear - he's a very important player for us. We're certainly hoping he plays out the rest of his career with us,' Voss said, noting that the defender is set to miss the remainder of the season with a groin injury. Losing Silvagni would be another big blow for Carlton fans like Hughes, who are in the midst of a torrid run of form, while several figures in the AFL have questioned whether the team had a mean streak and a desire to win, after shocking vision had shown Blues players shaking hands with opponent players before games this year. The Blues have slumped to 13th in the ladder having lost four of their last five games, as concerns continue to mount over Voss' position as the side's head coach. Among those defeats, the Blues have suffered a 59-point loss by Collingwood, a 37-point defeat by Brisbane, and more recently a 27-point loss by Fremantle. Concerns among Carlton tragics like Hughes have begun to mount. But his criticisms of the Pies were not well received by former Collingwood president Eddie McGuire, who stated that Carlton were not innocent when it came to using cash to secure players. 'Hughesy must have a short memory when Carlton used to drop brown paper bags... zero sympathy in relation to Carlton pillaging clubs in particular down on their knees,' the ex-Magpies executive said. 'David Rhys-Jones and Greg Williams didn't just turn up. 'We're delighted he's so concerned about us, think he's got a few more things to worry about.' Hughes had also been branded as 'annoying' by some Logies viewers after he appeared on stage alongside Guy Montgomery. The duo presented the award for Best Telemovie or Miniseries. But Hughes made several jokes about having not previously won the award, while also cracking a punchline about having to eat a boar's penis while filming I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.
