Why is Seth Rollins MISSING from WWE Night of Champions 2025? What is Triple H's masterplan?

India.com4 days ago

Some of the top WWE stars that will be present during the WWE Night of Champions include Rhea Ripley, Asuka, John Cena, CM Punk, Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes. But a big name that is not going to be present in the event is Seth Rollins.
The WWE, Night of Champions 2025 will be one of the most promising events of the year as it is planned in Saudi Arabia. It is anticipated that the event will involve some of the best WWE superstars and this will attract massive attention all over the world. But, to the surprise of many fans, the biggest star name that is not there in the official card is that of Seth Rollins, which has created speculation and raised a lot of worry.
Although Seth Rollins is a member of the current main roster of WWE and one of the biggest and most regular practitioners at that, he has not been booked to appear in Night of Champions. His absence is a mystery to fans, especially because of the magnitude of the event. It has not been officially stated whether he even shall even be in the show, creating more mystery on his omission.
A probable explanation of Rollins absence may be the much-awaited match between CM Punk and John Cena with John Cena facing-off to defend his world title. Rollins and Punk are known to have a real-life feud and they are said to despise eachother. In order to prevent backstage politics or an unwarranted meeting, it is possible that WWE management, probably Triple H, chose to place them on different shows.
The chances are that Rollins may appear at the Night of Champions. Because of possessing the Money in the Bank briefcase, he can cash in on the world champion at any given time. To make things even more interesting is a surprise which WWE may be planning where Rollins may cash in his briefcase and leave as the world champion, a big twist to the event.
The other possibility of the absence of Rollins is the stacked match card. To pace and ensure quality, Triple H tend to limit premium live events to four to six matches. Night of Champions already consists of six marquee matches, such as Asuka vs. Jade Cargill, Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Rodriguez, Cena vs. Punk, Solo Sikoa vs. Jacob Fatu, Karrion Kross vs. Sami Zayn, and Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes, so it is questionable where to fit Rollins in.
Finally, the reasons Roland could have omitted Rollins may be combined. Whenever you think of backstage politics, balance of the storyline, logistics of schedules and creative surprises WWE, can be affording the long game with one of its most valuable commodities.

"I'm just getting started": Rhea Ripley sends a strong message after victory over Raquel Rodriguez at WWE Night of Champions

Rhea Ripley (Image Source: Getty) Rhea Ripley shows up in one of the hardest-fought matches of her career, defeating Raquel Rodriguez in a brutal Street Fight at the WWE Night of Champions. In front of a raucous crowd inside the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the bitter rivals and former tag team partners went to war. Ripley finished the hard-hitting war after just 20 minutes, capping off a brutal night with an Avalanche Riptide through a table that sent a message to every girl backstage and fans around the globe: 'I'm a 28-year-old veteran and I'm just getting started.' Rhea Ripley pushes through pain and betrayal It wasn't only a contest of strength; the match was a personal war. Once upon a time, Ripley and Rodriguez ruled the women's tag division until their partnership wilted under the weight of inflated egos and ambition. Rodriguez started in the larger body here, and she quickly utilized that size to bully her way to the front. But Ripley, as usual, clawed and scraped. Things were relatively calm until halfway through the match when Roxy's Judgment Day partner, Rhea Ripley, interfered on her behalf, but only to get booted in the face by Ripley. At this point, it was obvious Ripley wished to do so on her terms. Ripley battled through pain and blood, much of it visible, including severe bruising around her ribs from repeated kendo stick shots, to work through the match. The conclusion of the bout saw a stunning Avalanche Riptide from the top rope and Rodriguez being sent through a table to take the three count. Ripley got up after the bell—bloodied but unbowed. The same fierce gaze she had always given was dulled by neither satisfaction nor hunger for what fades before her. Rhea Rhipley eyes championship gold and SummerSlam With Iyo Sky holding the Women's World Championship, the groundwork is laid for a title match at SummerSlam. With the win, Ripley has reclaimed her momentum, and the message is clear: WWE's women's division is on notice.
