Ex Bucs' Tom Brady Shares Heartfelt Message on Parents Anniversary

Yahoo24-04-2025
Easter weekend came with some additional meaning this year for Tom Brady and his family. While they and the rest of the country commemorate the spring season, Brady had more to celebrate.
Saturday marked the 56-year anniversary for Brady's parents, Tom Brady Sr. and Galynn Patricia. The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback took to social media to share his appreciation for the two.

"56 years ago in Browerville, MN… Happy Anniversary to the most incredible parents anyone could ask for," Brady posted on Instagram. "Over the years, you've shown our whole family what it truly means to build a life of love, laughter and faith.
"You've taught us how to support one another, how to grow together, and how to face life's challenges. We're endlessly grateful for everything you've done and continue to do for us. Thank you for being the heart of our family. Here's to 56 amazing years—and many more to come."
Brady's parents certainly have much to be proud of when it comes to their only son, one of their four children. The future Hall of Fame quarterback has seven Super Bowls to his name and three league MVP awards.
That same support has powered Brady's ventures off the field as well. Brady has translated his success on the field into a career in the broadcast booth as Fox NFL's No. 1 color analyst. February marked the end of his first season on the job, concluding with the call for Super Bowl LIX.

An entrepreneur and business owner as well, Brady has parlayed that success in those areas to some pretty notable investments. He backed Colossal Biosciences who recently made a shocking scientific break through after bringing the dire wolf back from extinction.
All these successes have stemmed in some way from the unwavering support from his family. Clearly, he is grateful to have enjoyed such a privilege.

NFL Fining 100-Plus Players for Selling Super Bowl Tickets Above Face Value

The NFL is fining about 100 players and 24 club employees for violating league policy by selling Super Bowl LIX tickets for above face value, a person with knowledge of the details told The Associated Press on Friday. The person, speaking to the AP on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation, said the players who resold their tickets will have to pay a fine of 1 1/2 times the face value they paid. They also won't be permitted to buy tickets for the next two Super Bowls unless they are playing in the game. Club employees who violated the policy will be fined two times face value. In a memo sent to teams and obtained by the AP, NFL head of compliance Sabrina Perel said the league was still completing its investigation. "Our initial investigation has determined that a number of NFL players and coaches, employed by several NFL clubs, sold Super Bowl tickets for more than the ticket's face value in violation of the Policy. This long-standing League Policy, which is specifically incorporated into the Collective Bargaining Agreement, prohibits League or Club employees, including players, from selling NFL game tickets acquired from their employer for more than the ticket's face value or for an amount greater than the employee originally paid for the ticket, whichever is less. "We are in the process of completing our investigation into this matter, but the investigation has revealed that club employees and players sold their tickets to a small number of 'bundlers' who were working with a ticket reseller to sell the Super Bowl tickets above face value." The "bundlers" will face increased penalties, per the memo. According to the CBA, players on all 32 teams can purchase two tickets for the Super Bowl. "In advance of Super Bowl LX, we will be enhancing the mandatory compliance training regarding the Policy for all League personnel, which will emphasize the specific requirements of the Policy and the broader principle that no one should profit personally from their NFL affiliation at the expense of our fans," Perel said in the memo. "We will also increase the penalties for future violations of this Policy. All clubs must ensure their personnel understand and comply with this policy. Additional details regarding the enhanced compliance measures will be provided in early fall." The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 9 in a Super Bowl rematch from two years ago. Reporting by The Associated Press. Want great stories delivered right to your inbox? MLB rumors: Why ESPN predicts Yankees to win Eugenio Suarez trade sweepstakes

The post MLB rumors: Why ESPN predicts Yankees to win Eugenio Suarez trade sweepstakes appeared first on ClutchPoints. Currently in second place in the AL East, the New York Yankees are looking to make up ground. With the MLB trade deadline coming up in about a week's time, the market has moved along slowly. Can Yankees general manager Brian Cashman take advantage of the inactivity and strike a deal for Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eugenio Suarez? According to ESPN's David Schofield, the Yankees will ultimately end up acquiring the slugger. 'General manager Brian Cashman has said the Yankees are 'going to go to town' at the trade deadline, suggesting they need a starting pitcher, bullpen help and an infielder,' wrote Schoenfield. 'The offense has been better again in July after scuffling in June, but Aaron Judge could still use some help. There is an air of desperation as well with the Yankees, as the Toronto Blue Jays passed them in the standings, and Suarez is clearly a perfect fit for their gaping hole at third.' Suarez would certainly fill the void that the Yankees have at the hot corner. Although he's not the best defender, he would certainly be a massive upgrade over the current duo of Oswald Peraza and Jorbit Vivas at third. For a team that is chasing yet another postseason berth, bringing in Suarez (and perhaps a few more additions) would certainly move the needle in the right direction for Cashman and the Bronx Bombers. Yankees need to boost third base for potential playoff run Going into the season, it was clear that third base was a spot that needed to be solved. Cashman and the rest of New York's brass hoped that veteran DJ LeMahieu and Oswaldo Cabrera would man the position. However, LeMahieu couldn't recover from a calf injury and was released. Cabrera is out for the season due to an injury. At the moment, it's Peraza and Vivas, which isn't ideal. Suarez would not only solidify third base, but he'd bring another strong bat into a lineup that really needs it. Team captain Aaron Judge has once again played up his previous MVP level, and other players have contributed throughout the season. However, a power bat like Suarez calling Yankee Stadium home would certainly be a fun sight to see. Aaron Rodgers-led Steelers offense bounces back in seven shots at training camp

A-Rod to MUTH touchdown. #Steelers #NFL Aaron Rodgers' winning mentality was on display once again at Steelers training camp. At Friday's practice in Latrobe, the Steelers participated in the iconic seven-shots drill — an intense red-zone simulation where the offense lined up at the two-yard line and the defense attempted to stop them from getting in. And Rodgers' performance more than made up for yesterday's interception on the first throw of team drills. The first play attempt of seven shots was retried after a bad snap from C Zach Frazier, but Rodgers linked up with DK Metcalf for a touchdown, putting the offense up 1-0. On the next attempt, Rodgers tried to connect with Metcalf once more, but Joey Porter Jr. broke up the pass. Both sides were tied, 1-1. With a new quarterback taking center stage in seven shots, Mason Rudolph attempted a pass to WR Ke'Shawn Williams — but it was almost intercepted by Porter. Defense went up 2-1. Rudolph connected with WR Scotty Miller on the next play, tying it up 2-2. Rookie QB Will Howard then took over on offense, attempting a pass to WR Brandon Johnson — but the pass was broken up by Cory Trice Jr. Defense retook the lead, 3-2. Howard wouldn't take the defended pass lying down — hooking up with TE J.J. Galbreath on the next attempt to tie the score back up, 3-3. Out trotted the four-time MVP for one last shot to decide a winner, and Rodgers didn't flinch — connecting with TE Pat Freiermuth to give the offense the win, 4-3. It's safe to say Rodgers' second day of practice in Latrobe went exactly as planned for the 20-year veteran — who's eager to keep proving why the Steelers offense is far more dangerous than it's being given credit for.
