The best deals from REI's Anniversary Sale 2025
All of the deals below are either from brands we've covered in the past and/or products that have at least a 4-star average rating at REI.
Hydro Flask is an absolute favorite among NBC Select staff members when it comes to reusable water bottles. The vacuum-insulated bottle keeps cold drinks cool and refreshing for up to a day and hot drinks warm for up to 12 hours, according to the brand. The straw cap flips up for easy siping, but when closed it makes the drink completely leakproof, according to Hydroflask. It's also BPA free and dishwasher safe.
'I got my first Hydro Flask several years ago and I've tried several other water bottles since then, but I keep coming back to this,' says NBC Select associate social media editor Caitlin Cusack. 'I'm an ice-water girl, and this bottle can keep my ice cold for over 24 hours. I've let it sit untouched for over a day and it still had ice in it.'
Also available in men's, the Evolution full-zip sweatshirt is made of a cotton and polyester blend. It has an attached hood, front pockets, rib cuffs and hem and a slightly dropped shoulder design for a more casual fit. Reviewers like it for its softness and the hem, which comes to right above the hips.
Garmin Forerunner 165
After reviewing the Garmin Forerunner 165, NBC Select tech reporter Harry Rabinowitz praised it for its exceptionally long battery life (up to 11 days), training tools and comfortable feel, making it one of our favorite fitness trackers to date. It can monitor heart rate, sleep habits, weather, recovery time and much more. Plus, it's compatible with both Android and Apple smartphones.
If you're a seasoned camper then you know a portable, warm fleece blanket is a must-have — especially in chilly elevated areas. This one from Rumpl has a sherpa fleece lining to maintain warmth and at 72 x 52 inches, it's large enough to encompass more than one person. Plus, the corners of the blanket have clips so you can attach them to one another around your shoulders to wear it as a cape and free up your hands and arms.
These ultra-comfortable sandals have arch support and are ideal for both casual wear and as a recovery slide. They're made of machine washable foam that's bacteria resistant, according to the brand. Since the sandals are only available in whole size, the brand recommends sizing down if you're a half size in men's and sizing up if you're a half-size in women's. 'I own another pair of sandals from Oofos and they are seriously some of the most comfortable summer shoes I own,' says NBC Select editor Lindsay Schneider.
This warm sleeping bag collapses into a portable drawstring bag with a carrying loop. It's compatible with all sleeping positions and types, the outside is made of a water-repellent ripstop polyester and the lining is polyester taffeta. It's also suited for sleeping in conditions as cold as 20 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the brand.
Made of breathable merino wool, which has antibacterial properties, these socks have thermoregulation (which prevents overheating) and moisture-wicking properties keeping your feet dry, making you less susceptible to athlete's foot. They also have specific mesh zones built in to add breathability and a seamless design to reduce chafing, according to Smartwool.
JBL makes some of our favorite portable speakers, including the Flip 6, which is both water- and dustproof and has a battery life of up to 12 hours on a single charge, according to the brand. It's also compatible with the JBL app, which allows you to adjust features of the speaker, like audio quality or base. It has a USB-C charging cable and the speaker lets out a beeping sound if it's detected water in the system.
This trail-running shoe is also available in men's sizes and provides moderate cushioning. It's made of high-strength mesh and has a rock guard to protect your feet from rough terrain.
Available in mens, the Saucony Endorphin Speed 4 running shoes have maximum cushioning. They provide strong forward propulsion to improve speed, according to Saucony. Plus, the top is made of flexible mesh and has an integrated tongue to help give you a more supportive fit.
Lifestraw's Peak Series water filter straw is helpful while traveling and on outdoor adventures — it allows you to safely consume water from natural sources by removing 99% of microplastics, parasites and bacteria, including e.coli, according to LifeStraw. Around the size of a toothbrush case, you can fit the straw in backpack or jacket pockets. You can also filter water through it from one bottle to another.
The Flexlite Camp Chair will come in handy for camping trips, park visits or tailgating. While it has a weight capacity of 250 pounds, it only weighs around 1 pound and collapses into a small cylindrical drawstring bag that makes it easy to carry from place to place. It's made of material similar to that of tents, according to the brand, and has a seat height of around 11 inches.
This four-person tent weighs just under 20 pounds and has over 55 square feet of space on the floor. When set up, it stands at 64 inches tall, has one main door, multiple mesh pockets on the inside and has enough space to fit a queen-size mattress, according to the brand. It also has an e-port so you can get access to a power cord from inside the tent.

Get a free Samsung Galaxy Watch - tech editor shares where to find it

Our tech commerce editor has found a way to get a Samsung smartwatch for free A smartwatch is often considered one of the best accessories to pair with a phone, a close contender to a speedy pair of wireless earphones. Whether it's the newest Apple Watch Ultra, a flagship Galaxy Watch, or a cheaper fitness-based alternative like Fitbit or Garmin. Anyone on the lookout for an Android-pairing wearable, we've found a way to get a Samsung Watch completely free. The Galaxy Watch7 BT usually retails for more than £280, but it's been slashed to £0 for Carphone Warehouse shoppers. The catch is, consumers will have to buy a Samsung mobile to claim the 2024 model. As a tech commerce editor, scouring sites for deals and standout perks is something I do each day, and it's not often you see a free smartwatch offered to shoppers - I've rounded up exactly what shoppers need to do to qualify. First up, the handset. The deal is only available on the S24 FE device, the 'fan edition' of last year's S range. As a quick background, this model is designed to offer similar features to the Galaxy S24 range but cuts back on processor speeds and sensors to justify the cheaper price. Another thing worth flagging to S24 FE shoppers, is the handsets cameras aren't as advanced as the standard S24 range. In comparison to the S24 usual £759 price - or now £659 in Samsung's sale - the S24 FE is £599 at Carphone Warehouse. But there's also the option to pick an iD Mobile plan and spread the cost across a 24-month plan - although we'd should point out that this comes with an £89.99 upfront fee. Buying a brand-new mobile isn't the only way to get a good deal on a wearable accessory. Amazon is offering a cheaper price on the fitness Fitbit trackers - this Inspire 3 model is now £58.99. The Garmin Forerunner, which is a step up from Fitbit with advanced training guidance, is reduced to £122.99 at Amazon too. The next point to flag is crucial, and not one made obvious on the shopping listing. The free watch is only available to claim to shoppers who pick a specific colour of the S24 FE mobile - green to be precise. This can be found in the small print of the Samsung T&C's - which we trailed through, here. Once Samsung shoppers have bought the Galaxy S23 FE mobile, they have 30 days after purchase to claim the £0 Galaxy Watch, of course with proof of purchase and by the July 29 deadline. And there's lots of retailer options. Personally, this is a part of the offer which I rate, as shoppers can take their own time to compare prices about the participating retailers. Which include Sky Mobile, so ideal for pay-as-you-go consumers, Very, Asda Mobile and Argos (to name a few). For those contemplating rival Sky Mobile, the handset starts at £18 per month, with data added on top. The provider is also running an offer on data anyone who picks 25GB of monthly data will get it doubled for free for a 12-month period. The only downside to Sky is its longer plans, which compared to the above 24-month iD Mobile plan, it's a much longer contract at a minimum 36-months.

Casushi casino review UK: Make an early splash with 100% up to £50 + 20 free spins

WITHOUT any doubt, the UK iGaming market holds a reputation for being one of the most competitive in the industry. Despite stiff competition, one site that rarely fails to pop up whenever top casinos in the UK are discussed is Casushi. This Casushi casino review serves as an expert outlook on critical areas about this platform, from its bonus offerings to the availability of payment methods. 🧑‍⚖️ The Sun's verdict: 3.99/5 Casushi shines brightly on our Sun Factor rankings in terms of game variety, responsible gambling tools and mobile performance. It is especially a safe choice for UK players who want a trusted casino with a smooth design and quick service. Despite coming across as a dream choice for most players, it falls short in certain areas. This includes unavailability of an Android app, no inclusion of zero/loss limits and no sign of a VIP/Loyalty program. ⚡ Casushi Casino quick facts Below are some quick facts you should know about Casushi Casino: 📅 Year established 2020 📃 UKGC account number 39358 (Dazzletag Entertainment Ltd) 🎁 Welcome bonus 100% up to £50 + 20 free spins on Big Bass Splash 🎰 No. of games offered Over 1,500 slot titles, plus live dealer and table games 🧑‍💻 No. of game providers 14 (including NetEnt, Evolution, Big Time Gaming, Yggdrasil, Blueprint) 💳 Payment methods Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafecard, Trustly 💬 Customer support Live chat (daily, 09:00–23:00) Email (support@ FAQ page 📱 App Only iOS, no Android app yet These quick facts show the site's versatility in games, payments, support and licensing. As a new player, you are entitled to up to £50 deposit bonus and 20 free spins to be used on Big Bass Splash. Besides the welcome offer, the casino makes room for active promotions that can be tapped into as an existing player. Top among them are 'Drops & Wins' slot tournaments, which assure varying rewarding prizes. Interestingly, these tournaments are free to enter. Overall, Casushi's bonus offers are somewhat limiting. The welcome bonus doesn't compete with what other top brands are offering. More so, the scarce range of bonuses – besides tournaments – and the unavailability of a VIP/Loyalty program further highlight the need for improvement. Casushi welcome bonus 5 The welcome bonus offers a 100% match on the first deposit up to £50. Along with it come 20 free spins on Big Bass Splash. Fears ‘powerhouse' phone brand to VANISH as all models suddenly out of stock in UK after 33 years

Bosses have reportedly said they are withdrawing from one country - and the rest of Europe could follow next BAD SIGNAL Fears 'powerhouse' phone brand to VANISH as all models suddenly out of stock in UK after 33 years Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A MAJOR mobile brand has quietly made all its devices out of stock prompting fears the firm could withdraw from the phone business after 35 years. Many big names that were popular in the early 2000s have been decimated by the popularity of iPhone and Samsung, as well as cheaper rivals. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 3 Forgotten mobile brands have lagged behind iPhone and Android Credit: Getty 3 Fears Sony could follow LG and pull out entirely Credit: AFP And Sony Mobile could be the next to bow out. The company made waves with Sony Ericsson handsets which helped make it a "powerhouse" in the mobile scene. Sony has continued to make Xperia smartphones, which have even won awards as recent as last year. But its market share is reported to be less than one per cent in multiple regions across the world. All the company's current smartphones are marketed as "out of stock" on Sony's website, fuelling speculation of a mobile exit. A Finnish news website reported that the company is leaving Finland and claims it plans to withdraw from Europe too. Experts told The Sun that the writing has been on the wall for some time. "It seems that the company is retrenching from some markets given the ongoing challenges in the handset business and changing market dynamics," said Paolo Pescatore, an analyst from PP Foresight. "Once a powerhouse, it was one of the few companies to boast a strong a presence in consumer electronics glass-to-glass from content creation with professional cameras through to smartphones and TVs. "Ultimately with lacklustre sales, stepping back makes sense given the competitive nature of the industry. Android users warned as major brand shuts down phone business "However, the company under Sony still seems to remain committed to smartphones under its premium brand which resonates in other markets. "Moving forward it will still be faced with tough decisions on whether pulling the plug should be made as it currently pivots towards a leaner and more agile business model. "There's also pride at stake for a company that is rich in consumer electronics." LG withdrew from the smartphone industry in 2021 and only recently put out its final software update to existing handset owners. The Sun has approached Sony for comment. END OF AN ERA? By Jamie Harris, Assistant Technology and Science Editor at The Sun It's not looking good for Sony Mobile. If all the signs do point toward a withdrawal from the UK and beyond, this will be the end of some 33 years in the mobile business. The Japanese tech giant's first commercially available mobile phone, nicked named the "Mars Bar", was released way back in 1992. Most people will think of Sony Ericsson as the firm's mobile heyday, with some featuring branding from its iconic Walkman too. At its peak, Sony Ericsson is reported to have had a 9 per cent market share globally. Most people had forgotten that Sony even made mobiles, so it would be no surprise if the company gave up now. Of course, Sony has other more successful electronic ventures to focus on instead, such as headphones, cameras, TV and of course PlayStation. MOST POPULAR MOBILE BRANDS Samsung holds the crown for top mobile manufacturer based on shipments. The company sold an estimated 60.6million units in the first quarter of 2025, according to data from IDC. That's a 20.1 per cent share, meaning one in five smartphones are made by Samsung. Apple follows very closely behind in second, with a 19.5 per cent share. See the full list below: Samsung - 20.1 per cent Apple - 19.5 per cent Xiaomi - 13.9 per cent OPPO - 7.8 per cent Vivo - 7.5 per cent Others - 31.2 per cent
