Boston Celtics reportedly \

The Boston Celtics got their offseason off to a fast start when they traded Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft. By making those trades, Brad Stevens took the Celtics under the second luxury tax apron, giving the franchise additional flexibility as they head toward free agency and beyond. Following those two trades, rumors have swirled regarding potential deals for Derrick White and/or Jaylen Brown. Outside of Jayson Tatum, White and Brown are the crown jewels of Boston's roster. Therefore, both of them would come at a considerable cost. During a recent episode of "The Zach Lowe Show" podcast, the long-time analyst reported that Boston "laughed" at an offer the Toronto Raptors made for White ahead of draft night. "There were reports that the Raptors offered No. 9 for Derrick White," Lowe said. "I'm told that's true, but it happened like a month-and-a-half ago, right after Jayson Tatum got hurt, and Boston laughed at that offer and said, 'We need way more than No. 9 for Derrick White.'" In a June 28 edition of Jake Fischer's column in the "Stein Line" newsletter, he noted how Boston are likely looking for a similar package to what the New York Knicks paid to acquire Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets last summer. 'Boston told at least one rival team that it would have insisted on a 'Mikal Bridges-type' package to part with Derrick White, league sources say,' Fischer wrote on 'The Stein Line' Substack newsletter on June 28. 'The Celtics have certainly received no shortage of inbound trade calls on both White and Jaylen Brown in recent days, but nothing got serious on either front.' White is one of the best two-way guards in the NBA. After losing Holiday, it's unlikely Stevens signs off on a trade that sees White leave the franchise. Still, as Lowe reported, Boston's high asking price hasn't stopped teams from picking up the phone to test the waters. Watch the "Taylor Talks Celtics" podcast on: YouTube: Website:

Carlos Sainz Breaks Silence on Scary Brake Fire Incident in Austrian GP

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Williams Racing driver Carlos Sainz has opened up on the brake fire incident that caused him to retire from the Austrian Grand Prix before it even started. This follows Sainz's complaints about the brakes on the previous day in qualifying, when he declared the car was undriveable. The poor qualifying caused the Spaniard to start the race from P19. Unfortunately, he was unable to get his FW47 F1 car going in the formation lap until the yellow flags were waved. Once he set off, Sainz returned to the pit lane, only to find the rear brakes of his car on fire. Fortunately, the team was able to douse the flames in time. Sainz's car was then taken into the garage, resulting in a DNS at the Austrian GP. Describing the problem, the 30-year-old driver suggested that the rear brakes on his car had engaged, which prevented him from setting off in the formation lap. He told the media: Carlos Sainz Jr of Spain and Williams speaks of disappointment in the media pen during qualifying ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Austria at Red Bull Ring on June 28, 2025 in Spielberg,... Carlos Sainz Jr of Spain and Williams speaks of disappointment in the media pen during qualifying ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Austria at Red Bull Ring on June 28, 2025 in Spielberg, Austria. More"Well, we have to see if there is some kind of relationship between yesterday and today. The fact is that another problem that we have to see exactly what could have happened. The car was braked from behind when I started the engine, and I could not move. "I managed to reset it, I did a lap, and it stopped again from the back and we had to retire. But yes, many things are happening to us lately. The truth is that this first half of the year is being a little heavy in that sense because things keep happening to us, but at some point, all this bad luck will end, and things will start to work out." Things have gone from bad to worse for Carlos 😩 He won't start the race ❌#F1 #AustrianGP — Formula 1 (@F1) June 29, 2025 Sainz's teammate Alex Albon also ended his race before the chequered flag fell. Williams had to call him back into the garage and retire the car, which marked his third consecutive DNF. The outfit is unsure about the root cause of the problem and has launched an investigation to prevent a similar incident. Related: Williams Launches Investigation Following Double DNF in Austrian GP Addressing the problems that plagued his and Albon's FW47, Sainz added: "As a team also now we have had a problem with Alex, by the looks of it. So we have to find out why we are having so many problems both in qualifying and in the race. Because it's already several weekends that we have brake problems, engine problems, overheating. Sometimes we are a little bit weak in that sense." Describing the Austrian GP as a disastrous race weekend, Sainz said: "Yes, very poor, really. All weekend with problems, and now both cars are out. It's a bit of a disastrous weekend for us, but we have to grit our teeth and see how we can improve."

New team floated as potential suitor for Boston Celtics' Jaylen Brown

Jaylen Brown and Derrick White have found themselves being floated in trade rumors to begin the NBA offseason. The Boston Celtics duo are two of the best players on the roster. However, with Brad Stevens already trading away Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis, it would appear everyone outside of Jayson Tatum is available for the right price. During a recent episode of "The Zach Lowe Show," the long-time NBA analyst floated the Sacramento Kings as a potential suitor for Brown. Lowe did, however, note how he doesn't expect the All-Star forward to be traded this summer. 'I get the sense there was real smoke, there was something going on,' Lowe said. 'That something maybe has subsided. I said last week that I would bet on (White and Brown) being on the Celtics next year but I'm not slamming the door shut on some team — the Kings come to mind — being like, we'll offer you everything, all the swaps, all the picks, whatever you want for Jaylen Brown and at least making the Celtics think about it. I don't think that's going to happen. I think they will both be on the team next year but they instantly could become the main characters of free agency.' The Kings have plenty of assets to piece together an enticing trade offer. The problem is, none of the incoming players are at the level of Brown. Therefore, Boston would be taking a step backward in terms of talent. Stevens is clearly in the early stages of retooling the roster, with an eye on contending in the 2026-27 season once Jayson Tatum returns from an Achilles tendon tear. As such, it's unlikely we see Brown or White moving to a new team this summer, unless, of course, a team produces a trade package similar or better than the one that sent Mikal Bridges to the New York Knicks last summer.
