"I feel like I'm not a really emotional person, I'm glad I'm here and I'm glad that I have the team I have. Obviously the time here just makes me proud to be here," Berger told reporters.
"Whatever happened in 2022 is in the past and I'm looking forward to it now, to the future. For me, now I live my best life and I'm in the semi-final."
In the last four, Germany will face world champions Spain in Zurich on Wednesday.

Trump has limited authority to intervene under the current home-rule law governing federal oversight of the District of Columbia, but he has raised the prospect of taking more control, telling reporters in February, "I think we should take over Washington, D.C." Representatives of the Commanders did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Some fans have advocated readopting the name Redskins out of tradition, but leading Indigenous rights organisations have opposed the name, including the National Congress of American Indians, the Association on American Indian Affairs, and Cultural Survival. At least one group, the Native American Guardian's Association, has supported the name Redskins and the "respectful use of Native American names and imagery in sports, education and public life".

Liverpool agree to sign Frankfurt striker Ekitike: reports
The Premier League champions switched their focus to Ekitike following Newcastle's refusal to sell Sweden striker Alexander Isak, who is valued at around £150 million by the Magpies. Newcastle and Manchester United were also interested in Ekitike, but Liverpool look set to win the race for one of Europe's hottest young stars. It is believed the Reds have agreed to pay a potential further £10 million in add-ons to sign the 23-year-old Frenchman, whose overall price tag could reach £79 million. Allegri vows to restore AC Milan, bets on Modric
The Rossoneri had turned to serial winner Allegri after the club slumped to its worst league finish in a decade -- leading to Sergio Conceicao's axing after five miserable months in charge. "The goal for this season is to return to the Champions League as a club like AC Milan has to play in Europe," Allegri told reporters in Singapore, where his team will face Arsenal on Wednesday in a pre-season friendly. "This is the sole objective for me from the get-go. These are the games the team lives for. We're not going to look back, but we are looking forward to the future now," added the 57-year-old Italian. Milan ended the 2024–25 campaign in eighth place -- missing out on European qualification -- and fell short in the Coppa Italia final against Bologna. In the aftermath, Allegri was brought in to replace Conceicao at the helm at the club, which he previously managed from 2010 to 2014. Allegri won the Scudetto in his first season in charge of Milan -- the club's first since 2004 -- before enjoying a dominant spell at Juventus, where he clinched five straight Serie A titles. "It has been more than a decade since I first took charge of Milan. The situation is obviously different now. A lot has changed, not just in Milan but in the world of football," he said. "But the overall goal remains the same, and that is to get this club back to where it belongs, and that is the Champions League," said Allegri. He said he will look to the recent signing of Luka Modric from Real Madrid to restore Milan's status among Europe's elite, where they are the seven-time European champions. At 39, the 2018 Ballon d'Or winner still has plenty to offer, and Allegri will be counting on his wealth of experience and leadership to inspire the team.
