'Metro in Dino' star Ali Fazal on Deepika Padukone's 8-hour shift demand: 'This is not a corporate job and...'
'Metro in Dino' star Ali Fazal is the latest to talk about Deepika Padukone's 8-hour shift demand. The actor was quoted saying, 'I am pro everybody being satisfied. At the end of the day, we are creators. This is not like a corporate job. No offence to them, but it is not. Creating things takes a lot of compassion. It needs to be mutually decided between actors, creators and technicians, 'What is the displacement of the hours in that particular project.'
STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD
Fazal added, 'Sometimes, some projects don't require much because it is VFX-heavy. Some projects require more because it is action, and drama. The genre changes the working style. That's the kind of industry we are in. You can't put a template. This is all subjective. This is not for others to discuss and throw their opinions. It is harsh asking people to take sides. It is not fair.'
On his own work-life balance
The actor told Firstpost, 'I try, but you know, I think balancing stuff outside the country and within gets a little hard for me. I have a lot of fights. And a lot of people are not really happy with you. But I have to. I have no other choice because I don't know how to navigate. I'm still learning."
'But I think now recently, in the last like one year, my time management has been a new thing because I'm now on the schedule of my daughter. So I have a good reason to just shut up and say, hey, you know, I got to stop work now,' continued Ali Fazal.
