Dog the Bounty Hunter's step-grandson killed in shooting accident over the weekend: Report

Yahoo2 days ago
The stepson of Duane Chapman — more commonly known as Dog the Bounty Hunter — accidentally shot and killed his own son over the weekend, a family representative told TMZ.
TMZ reported that Gregory Zecca accidentally shot his 13-year-old son, Anthony, in a Naples, Fla., apartment on Saturday.
Police confirmed to TMZ that they responded to a call regarding a shooting at 8 p.m. local time on Saturday, calling the tragedy an 'isolated incident.' Authorities have not made any arrests, and they're investigating the incident.
"We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible, tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony,' Chapman and his wife, Francie, said in a statement provided to TMZ. The family has asked for privacy as they mourn Anthony.
Chapman rose to fame by starring in the TV show Dog the Bounty Hunter, which ran from 2004 to 2012 and featured his late wife, Beth Chapman. They starred in another TV show, Dog and Beth: On the Hunt, which ran from 2013 to 2015 on CMT. They also appeared on Dog's Most Wanted for one season in 2019.
Chapman, 72, and Francie got married in 2021 after their respective spouses had died and the pair bonded over their shared grief. Zecca is Francie's son from her previous marriage and works with Chapman on his bounty hunting team, according to TMZ.
Chapman is a father to 13 children from six different relationships, People reported.

Jeremy Allen White Supports Rumored Girlfriend Molly Gordon at NYC Screening of Her New Movie, 'Oh, Hi!'

After months of laying low, Molly Gordon and Jeremy Allen White are once again fueling romance rumors. The actors, who star as love interests on The Bear, spent an evening together in New York City on Tuesday, July 22, as White, 34, showed up to support Gordon, 29, and her new film. He was a special guest of the actress, along with Owen Thiele, at Sony Pictures Classics and The Cinema Society's screening of Oh, Hi! at the Roxy Cinema and Jimmy. White attended both the screening and afterparty with Gordon's parents, with whom he appeared to be familiar. Following the screening of the movie, which Gordon stars in alongside Logan Lerman and produced, the actress celebrated with White, Thiele, Lerman and his fiancée Ana Corrigan. White and Gordon kept things lowkey but were spotted grabbing each other's hands at several moments throughout the evening. Speculation about the costars' off-camera relationship began last September when they were photographed kissing in L.A. Photos emerged of White and Gordon sharing several kisses — and a tight embrace — on Sept. 25 last year. They had their arms wrapped around each other as they kissed and hugged during the low-key outing, which came after White had previously been linked to singer Rosalía, with whom he was first spotted in October 2023 and was last seen with in July 2024. A source later told PEOPLE that Gordon and White had "intense chemistry" on the set of that developed into something more. After they were seen kissing, a source said that the costars had only recently started "hanging out romantically." "There were set rumors early on that they had intense chemistry even when not filming," the source said. White "really seems into Molly," the insider continued. "She spends time at his house. They go on lunch dates and seem to have a great time. They're affectionate, often in deep conversations and seem curious to get to know each other better." Fatherhood remains a priority for the actor, though, who shares daughters Ezer and Dolores with his ex-wife, Addison Timlin. White is "very involved with his kids," the source said, and "often takes them out for activities." Skydance Tells FCC It Will Create CBS News Ombudsman, Eliminate DEI at Paramount

Big changes will come to CBS and CBS News, once Skydance's takeover of Paramount Global is closed. Skydance has told the Federal Communications Commission that once its acquisition of Paramount Global is complete, it will initiate a 'comprehensive review' of CBS to ensure that the network is operating in the public interest, and that it will hire an ombudsman that will report directly to the president of CBS News 'who will receive and evaluate any complaints of bias or other concerns' at the news division. Skydance made the commitments in a pair of letters to the FCC, with one focused on 'addressing concerns about media bias' and another 'to confirm the elimination of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives that were in place at Paramount and-to-confirm our commitments moving forward.' 'Skydance, for its part, does not have DEI programs in place today and will not establish such initiatives,' the letter continues. 'The company is committed to ensuring that its storytelling reflects the many audiences and communities it serves in a manner that complies with non-discrimination requirements and other applicable laws.' The DEI changes will impact the company's hiring practices, promotion and development, compensation, and public messaging, among other areas. It will also eliminate the office of global inclusion. Skydance also committed to maintaining a 'productive partnership' with its CBS affiliates. More to come.
