The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has released seven new modules for students from class 1 to 12. These modules will cover various topics including digital technology, cleanliness, environment, sports, democracy and cultural heritage. They aim to make learning interesting and effective through stories, case studies, quizzes and interactive activities.
Digital India: In the primary level module, children will be introduced to digital payments like UPI apps. While at the middle and higher level, students will be taught about digital platforms like DigiLocker, Aadhaar, Ayushman Bharat, Umang App. This module will also include a story about a jewelery artisan from Rajasthan showing how small businesses are also benefiting from government digital resources.
Mental Health and Digital Helpline: This module will tell the story of a student named Rewa, who handles her emotions using the National Mental Health Helpline Tele Manas. The story is an attempt to explain the importance of mental health among children and youth.
Democracy and Electoral traditions: Students will be informed about the evolution of India's democracy from its inception to modern electoral institutions. The focus will be on the idea of ​​welfare state in Kautilya's Arthashastra.
COVID-19: This module uses pictures, activities and science-based modelling to explain the symptoms of the pandemic and prevention methods to children. For higher secondary students, activities will include creating a 3D model of the virus and interacting with affected people.
Heritage and Development: This module introduces children to the cultural heritage of India, such as Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi and Kamakhya Temple in Assam. It also encourages understanding of culture through stories related to monuments and multilingual vocabulary.
These new modules aim to connect children with technology, as well as make them aware of their culture, health, environment and democracy.

But once in India, she allegedly used the services of a local agent to fabricate a new identity. Pal was arrested earlier this week, with fake Indian documents like an Aadhaar card and a ration card. The probe also revealed that the woman, along with her husband, rented an apartment in Park Street and later moved to Golf Green, where they began living together. With the help of a local agent, she allegedly forged multiple Indian identity documents, including a ration card, Aadhaar card, voter ID, and PAN card, the officer said. From a beauty pageant winner to a Bollywood aspirant Before her arrest, Shanta represented Bangladesh in the Indo-Bangla Beauty Pageant in 2016 and was crowned Miss Asia Global in 2019. She later entered the entertainment industry and was featured in several Tamil and Bengali films. She reportedly signed an Odia film recently. Kolkata: A Bangladeshi woman was arrested this week in Kolkata for residing in India using fake documents. Shanta Paul was working as a crew member of an airline company and was also a small-time model, the police said after arresting her with fake Indian documents on Tuesday. She entered India in 2023 from Bangladesh's Barisal using a valid passport, and then rented a flat in Kolkata through a property dealer. Paul allegedly told the owner she wanted to live separately as her family wasn't happy with her marrying a Muslim man. To sign the rent agreement, she gave fake Indian documents like the Aadhaar card, PAN card, and the voter ID. According to her fake documents, accessed by NDTV, she was born in 1998. She also married Shaik Mohammad Ashraf, a resident of Andhra Pradesh, on June 5, according to her marriage certificate accessed by NDTV. Her marriage was registered in the bordering district of Nadia. "The duo rented an apartment in Park Street and later moved to Golf Green, where they began living together. Shanta reportedly kept Ashraf's passport in her possession. With the help of a local agent, she allegedly forged multiple Indian identity documents, including a ration card, an Aadhaar card, a voter ID, and a PAN card," the news agency PTI quoted a police officer as saying. Paul also allegedly used fake Indian documents to jointly rent properties in Kolkata with Ashraf, who works in the merchant navy, the officer said. She represented Bangladesh in the Indo-Bangla Beauty Pageant in 2016 and went on to become Miss Asia Global in 2019. In the last two years, she acted in Tamil and Bengali films, and even signed an Odia film, the officer said. "Following her success in modelling, she began her acting career before eventually joining a Bangladeshi airline," he added. She is currently in police custody till August 8.

Kolkata, Aug 1 (PTI) Bangladeshi model and actress Shanta Pal allegedly used fake Indian documents to jointly purchase properties in the southern part of the city along with her live-in partner, a police officer said on Friday. Pal was arrested earlier this week, with fake Indian documents like Aadhaar card, ration card. Police are verifying the details of the property transaction, the officer said. Initial probe revealed that Pal allegedly used fake documents and entered into a 'digital marriage" with the man, hailing from Andhra Pradesh. She arrived in Kolkata in 2023 from Barisal, Bangladesh, using her Bangladeshi passport. 'She brought along her friend and alleged partner, Ashraf, a resident of Andhra Pradesh, who works in the merchant navy. 'The duo rented an apartment in Park Street and later moved to Golf Green, where they began living together. Shanta reportedly kept Ashraf's passport in her possession. With the help of a local agent she allegedly forged multiple Indian identity documents, including ration card, Aadhaar card, voter ID, and PAN card," the officer said. She obtained a fake Aadhaar card, falsely claiming to be a resident of Gopalpur, Barshul in Burdwan, and later procured another under her Golf Green address. 'Using both her and Ashraf's documents, they allegedly purchased properties in Kolkata," police said. Further investigation revealed that Shanta had represented Bangladesh in the Indo-Bangla Beauty Pageant in 2016, and in 2019, she went on to become Miss Asia Global. 'Following her success in modelling, she began her acting career before eventually joining a Bangladeshi airline," he said.
