Angel Reese Dealt 'Brutal Truth' In Rivalry With Caitlin Clark
Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark have been rivals dating back to their time at the college basketball level.
Reese, starring at LSU, and Clark, starring at Iowa, twice faced off in the NCAA Tournament. Reese and the Tigers topped Clark and the Hawkeyes in the 2023 national championship game. Clark and the Hawkeyes got revenge in the Elite Eight in 2024.
The two have since become two of the biggest stars in the WNBA, with Reese starring for the Chicago Sky and Clark starring for the Indiana Fever. While Clark has been getting a lot of credit for the WNBA's growth, Reese has made it clear that she believes she deserves a lot of credit, too.
"People are talking about women's basketball, you never would think they'd be talking about women's basketball," Reese said in 2024.
"People are pulling up to games. We got celebrities coming to games and sold-out arenas just because of one single game. Just looking at that, I'll take that role. I'll take the bad guy role, and I'll continue to take that on and be that for my teammates. I know I'll go down in history. I'll look back in 20 years and be like, the reason why we're watching women's basketball is not just because of one person. It's because of me, too. I want y'all to realize that."
But while that might be true to an extent, Ice Cube recently made it clear that when it comes to people being interested in Clark or Reese, there's not much of a debate.
Ice Cube, who offered Caitlin Clark $5 million to play in his BIG3 League, admitted that when he spoke to investors and advertisers, there wasn't much of a debate between Clark and Reese.
The league's sponsors suggested that Clark, not Reese, would make the biggest impact. While an offer was made to Clark, no such offer was made to Reese.
'They didn't tell us the same thing about Angel Reese,' Cube informed TMZ Sports. 'I don't know if we can make that same offer.'
Ice Cube added the door has probably been closed on Clark. Meanwhile, it never seemed to open for Reese.

Janel Grant's representation calls Brock Lesnar's return to WWE 'attempt to sweep misconduct under the rug'
Brock Lesnar put a punctuation mark on WWE SummerSlam Sunday night with his return to the ring after a two-year absence from the promotion. Lesnar came out to confront John Cena following his defeat to Cody Rhodes and loss of the WWE championship, eventually attacking Cena and using his signature F-5 finishing move on him. Yet while the excitement of a feud with Cena was the takeaway from SummerSlam, Lesnar's return also raises reminders of why he took a two-year hiatus. The seven-time WWE champion was named in a federal lawsuit against former WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon. The lawsuit was filed against the company by former WWE employee Janel Grant, alleging that McMahon had sexually assaulted and trafficked her. On Monday afternoon, Grant's represenation issued a statement regarding Lesnar's return to WWE. "For far too long, abuse was allowed to thrive under WWE's leadership," the statement says. "Instead of righting this wrong, WWE has done nothing to ensure those responsible are held accountable." "This attempt to sweep misconduct under the rug will backfire," the statement added. "We look forward to the full set of facts, including those about Mr. Lesnar, coming out in a court of law where they belong but, in the meantime, we refer you back to Janel Grant's updated complaint, which outlines, in detail, the abuse she endured by McMahon and others while employed at WWE." One of the claims in the complaint alleges that McMahon shared "sexually explicit photographs and videos of Ms. Grant (including pornographic content he recorded) with other men both inside and outside the company." That included "a world-famous athlete and former UFC Heavyweight Champion with whom WWE was actively trying to sign to a new contract (and ultimately did sign that contract)." Lesnar was not initially named beyond that description in the lawsuit, but that has since been changed to outright name him in the complaint. McMahon denied all allegations in Grant's lawsuit, but resigned as WWE chairman in January 2024. Lesnar hadn't appeared for WWE since then, with the company shelving plans to feature him in that year's Royal Rumble. However, Lesnar was apparently cleared by WWE's lawyers to return as a performer four weeks ago, according to reporter Dave Meltzer (via Cageside Seats). Though Meltzer was not able to provide details, he speculated that being cleared meant that the lawsuit may go to arbitration and Lesnar faced no legal jeopardy. His return to WWE appears to support that notion.

It sounds like Ben Johnson has plans for Bears rookie Kyle Monangai
The Chicago Bears have high hopes for their offense this season with the arrival of head coach Ben Johnson and improvements along the offensive line. While quarterback Caleb Williams' development is key, he won't be able to thrive without a strong running game. D'Andre Swift was brought in as a free agent ahead of last season, but he hasn't been as productive as they hoped coming in. Roschon Johnson, who the Bears selected in the 2023 NFL draft, is a solid back, but he hasn't proven himself to be a number one either. In the 2025 NFL draft, Chicago selected Kyle Monangai in the seventh round to join the running back room. He was seen as the third guy on the depth chart ahead of camp, but that may not be the case as the season progresses. Head coach Ben Johnson seems to have a plan for the rookie. 'I'm very pleased with where he's at,' Johnson said after Family Fest. 'I think he's a guy we're gonna be able to trust this fall.' Does this mean that Johnson doesn't trust Swift or Johnson? Of course not, but it does mean that he plans on using Monangai, perhaps more than anyone thought. Having three running backs contributing isn't necessarily conventional in the NFL, but the Bears could make it work. Nobody has made the case to be the undisputed top running back since coming to Chicago, and Johnson is ready to try to get the most out of every player. When Johnson was the offensive coordinator of the Detroit Lions, he found success with Jared Goff throwing the football. None of it would have worked well, however, with that strong running attack, and they had no problem using more than one running back with the duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery.
