Teddi Mellencamp debuts shaved head as she walks 1st red carpet after brain surgery: 'I'm feeling great'

Yahoo01-05-2025
Teddi Mellencamp's cancer journey has been filled with highs and lows, but the television personality was happy to celebrate positive news from her doctors on Monday night.
Mellencamp attended An Unforgettable Evening, an event benefiting the Women's Cancer Research Fund in Beverly Hills, with her best friend and former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costar Kyle Richards. It was her first formal event since she underwent surgery in February to remove several brain tumors. Mellencamp debuted her shaved head on the red carpet.
'I'm doing OK,' she told Yahoo Entertainment on the red carpet. 'I would say that I'm feeling great in the fact that I'm doing better physically, and the mental stuff — it's highs and lows. But I'm so happy to be here and [to] be able to support this event and such an important cause.'
Richards, who lost her mother to breast cancer, told Yahoo it was a relief to be at the gala, which raises funds for pioneering cancer research across leading medical and academic institutions in the U.S., after receiving 'positive news from Teddi's doctor.'
'We were waiting with bated breath, all of us in the last week for her to get either good news or bad news. It was a very scary time for her and everyone that loves her,' the Bravo star said. 'So it feels way better to be here tonight with that.'
Last week, Mellencamp shared on social media that 'all tumors stage IV (metastasized melanoma in my brain and lungs) shrunk or disappeared.' After two more immunotherapy sessions, doctors are hopeful she will be 'cancer free.'
Mellencamp chose not to wear a wig at the gala, something Richards found 'really inspiring.'
'To see someone like Teddi be so strong and show up here tonight looking absolutely stunning. She was like, 'Do I wear a wig? They're uncomfortable sometimes.' And I said, 'You look so gorgeous.' Not everybody can do that and show people it's OK,' Richards said. 'You're gorgeous no matter what.'
Mellencamp, who shares daughters Slate, 12, and Dave, 5, and son Cruz, 10, with her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave, said she's had an 'amazing support system' throughout this process. That has included Richards every step of the way.
'I did everything from sleeping with her at the hospital to going to doctor's appointments, to bringing her a cuter blanket at the hospital, to making her laugh, to taking embarrassing videos of her that I knew that I could show her [later] she would appreciate and laugh at," Richards said of how she's been at her friend's side. 'Really, that's what it is — trying to keep her happy. We have nights just at home and she comes and has sleepovers and we just laugh."

Mellencamp joked that Monday was 'the first time I've been out past 8:30 [p.m.] since this happened.'
'I looked at Kyle, I'm like, 'Are we gonna make it?'' she laughed. 'Normally I just come to your house and we watch some TV. But it's really important that we're here.'

Conor McGregor appears unbothered on luxe yacht after Azealia Banks' shocking photo leak

Conor McGregor is cool as a cucumber after having his explicit photos leaked online by Azealia Banks this week. The UFC fighter shared several photos and videos of himself getting in some self care while aboard a luxe yacht on Tuesday. On his Instagram Stories, he showed himself giving his face a refreshing dunk in a bowl of ice water with sliced cucumbers. The boat was decorated with a string of balloons in celebration of his recent birthday. Prior to jumping on his stories, McGregor — who was recently spotted getting cozy with a mystery woman in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., earlier this week — shared a photo of himself sitting in a meditation pose with his legs crossed. 'EVERYDAY PRAY,' he captioned the post, adding a prayer hands emoji. He also appeared to be spending some quality time with his 4-year-old son, Rian. In another Instagram Story, he showed the toddler sitting in a children's swing while on the vessel. 'Careful how you address the big boss,' he wrote across the snap. The fighter's Instagram post came one day after Banks aired his dirty laundry on the internet. Banks set her social media ablaze after she accused McGregor of sending her 'unsolicited' explicit photos in a string of tweets. 'Me and Conor McGregor have been sending each other unsolicited nudes since 2016. LOL,' the 'Luxury' songstress alleged via X Monday. 'I have never met the leprechaun but today is his birthday and he wants everyone to make a wish and blow out the candle,' she added. 'Funny how big of closet maga bait that was … Men are so homo and obsessed with d–k it's not even funny.' She also shared screenshots of her direct messages allegedly from the MMA fighter, showing two nude photos of McGregor with messages from him that read, 'Don't be a rat cos all rats get caught,' and 'lifting weights.' The tweet was deleted soon after it was posted. Banks, 34, wrote in the caption, 'How you gonna send a bitch [some] crooked d–k pics then threaten her not to tell.' Tagging the UFC fighter, she added, 'Do you know who the f–k I am?' McGregor is currently engaged to Dee Devlin, whom he started dating in 2008. In addition to Rian, they share three other kids: Conor Jr., 8, Croía, 6, and Mack, 1.

Howard Stern's Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Bet

Back in 1997, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. met on the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer, and basically lived happily ever after. As a quick recap, the two didn't actually start dating until they worked together again in 2000, when they played love interests in the Scooby-Doo movies. But after that, things moved pretty quickly. Sarah and Freddie got engaged in 2001, and then married in 2002. They welcomed their first child, Charlotte, in 2009, and a son, Rocky, in 2012. And on Monday, they appeared to be more in love than ever as they walked the red carpet for the new I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel, which Freddie stars in. Needless to say, hopeless romantics everywhere were obsessed to see the couple still standing strong almost 30 years after the first movie brought them together. But as fans fawned over their love story on a pop culture Reddit forum, it didn't take long for Freddie's 2001 interview with Howard Stern to come up. Suffice to say, it has not aged well. In the interview, which took place shortly before Freddie and Sarah got married, Howard warns the actor that the relationship 'won't last.' 'So, you will marry [Sarah] even though you know that it won't last?' Howard began, going on to tell then-25-year-old Freddie: 'You think you gonna know how you feel at 35? You're going to be a completely different dude.' 'And she will be a completely different woman, but it's all good,' Freddie breezily replied. 'And you will probably talk to each other through lawyers!' Howard's cohost Robin Quivers added. Howard later told Freddie: 'I want to make a written bet with you now: In about 10 years, you're gonna hunt me down and go: 'Howard, I owe you money.'' He then bet Freddie $1 million that he and Sarah won't stay together for longer than five years. Both Freddie and Sarah have acknowledged Howard's bet over the years. In a 2016 interview with Build, Freddie said: 'He bet me a million dollars that we would break up in under five years… You have not paid that bet, young man!' And on their 20th wedding anniversary, Sarah posted the interview to her Instagram story, and wrote: '@SternShow I think you owe us.' Freddie reposted this at the time, joking: 'She will not forget.' So, it's pretty unsurprising that it has resurfaced again amid Sarah and Freddie's latest loved-up display, with a popular Reddit comment reading: 'they are a living embodiment of howard stern being wrong about everything so i have no choice but to be a fan.' 'Did he ever pay FPJ?' somebody else asked, while another wrote: 'he was acting like they were 19 and had literally no idea what they were doing.'While one more mused: 'I hate when people who's relationship fell apart project that everybody else will also have a relationship fall apart.'Others just couldn't help but gush over the long-lasting celeb couple, with one person writing: 'They appear to be a blessed couple. They still look great and they appear to be enamored with each other.' While somebody else concluded: 'The way she looks at him 😭 This is the celebrity relationship I'll always root for, I wish all the happiness for them.' Let me know your thoughts on Howard's bet in the comments below!
