Sgt. Inon Nuriel Vana, a Technology and Maintenance Corps soldier serving in the Golani Brigade's reconnaissance unit.
The soldier injured in the blast is in moderate condition, the statement adds.
According to an investigation by the 'Israeli' military, the soldiers were inside an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) that was hit by an explosive device in Khan Younis.

32 Palestinians killed today in Gaza, including 14 aid seekers
