
Luton Town signs Reflo for first sustainable football kit deal
The partnership 'marks a significant step forward in sustainable sportswear', with Reflo providing 'the first of [its] high-performance team kits crafted from recycled materials and shirts engineered to be mechanically recycled at the end of the season'.
Although now relegated for a second successive season and set to start next season in the English third tier, the collaboration aligns with Luton's ambitions to 'embrace sustainability without compromising on performance, reflecting the club's evolution as it moves toward a new stadium, new aspirations, and a future-focused vision'.
Reflo said the partnership 'ensures that players, coaches, and staff will wear cutting-edge apparel that not only performs at the highest level but also contributes to a circular solution for sportswear waste'.
At the heart of this partnership is Reflo's pioneering fully-circular Reloop technology, ensuring every piece of the kit is crafted from recycled materials and therefore avoids landfill status.

Macron urges France-UK partnership on AI to keep up with US and China
President Emmanuel Macron said Wednesday it was "critical" that France and the UK work together on artificial intelligence (AI) in order to catch up with the United States and China. The "UK and France are probably the two nations to be part of the race and leading the race in Europe" on AI, Macron told a London university event during his state visit. Speaking in English at Imperial College London, Macron said the neighboring nations "are lagging behind both the US and China. (...) And the big question for all of us is how to be part of the competition and indeed to de-risk our model and not to be dependent on US and or Chinese solutions." The French president added: "The partnership between (the) UK and France is for me critical, because we (...) face the same challenges." Different views on regulating AI However, differences have emerged between the UK and France on regulating AI. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has invited companies to test their AI innovations in the UK outside of regulatory restrictions, a clear distinction with the European Union following Brexit.
