Manager of DRDO guest house detained for spying
Jaisalmer SP Abhishek Shivhare confirmed the detention, saying that Singh was set to undergo intensive interrogation at the Joint Interrogation Centre here on Tuesday where security and intelligence agencies will collaborate to uncover the full extent of the information he allegedly shared with the ISI.
Officials are particularly focused on determining how long this activity has been going on and the nature of the leaked information.
Singh, from Almora in Uttarakhand, has been stationed at the guesthouse for the past four to five years and is suspected to have provided sensitive information regarding strategic military operations, including movements and test data pertaining to DRDO, the Indian Army and Air Force, to operatives in Pakistan.
The DRDO guest house where Singh is employed is known to accommodate experts and scientists involved in missile and weapon trials at the nearby Pokhran Field Firing Range.

DRDO guest house manager arrested for spying for Pakistan, allegedly shared classified data
Rajasthan Police on Tuesday said it had detained a manager of a Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) guest house in Jaisalmer over suspicions of being a spy for Pakistan. The accused, Mahendra Prasad, is a resident of Almora in Uttarakhand. He was posted as the manager of DRDO guest house in Chandan area of Jaisalmer. 'He was detained on Monday. A joint interrogation will be conducted today,' Jaisalmer Superintendent of Police Abhishek Shivhare said today. 'He is suspected to have provided sensitive information related to strategic operations and activities in the region,' the police have revealed. Jaisalmer is a strategic location for the DRDO. The defence agency conducts tests and trials of missiles and weapons in Pokhran firing range in Jaisalmer, and experts and officials involved in the process stay in the guest house. 'He (Prasad) reportedly shared classified data, including military movements and defence trials, with the ISI across the border,' sources quoted by ANI said. The area surrounding the guest house includes active military zones of both the Army and Air Force, where defence-related operations are carried out year-round. Intelligence officials believe Singh had access to these activities and passed on details to Pakistan's intelligence operatives, according to ANI. 'Further interrogation is expected to uncover the extent of the information he may have leaked,' Shivhare said. He added that Prasad would be brought for extensive questioning by all the security and intelligence agencies. As per the ANI report, the accused allegedly used a mobile phone to transmit information across the border. This mobile phone is suspected to have been provided to him by ISI agents operating within India. Indian authorities have arrested several individuals amid a crackdown on spies who have been allegedly leaking information to Pakistan. In May, authorities detained an engineer in Thane for allegedly passing sensitive information about warships and submarines with a Pakistani intelligence agent. Another prominent arrest in such a case is that of Jyoti Malhotra, a travel influencer believed to be sharing sensitive information with Pakistan.

Navi Mumbai: Three college students, were booked by Sanpada police for performing a 'dangerous' stunt in a moving car on Palm Beach Road on Monday around 8:30 pm. The police detained the trio after the stunt video clip went viral on social media. In the now viral video clip, recorded by an unidentified motorist while travelling from Sarsole Signal to Moraj Signal, Sanpada, on the Vashi lane of Palm Beach Road, one man is seen leaning out of the open sunroof of the moving car, while another man sat on the open window of the right rear seat with his upper body out of the window. Thereafter, the woman who was driving the hatchback took a turn to lean out of the open sunroof while her friend drove the vehicle. Shimla: BJP state spokesperson and Chopal MLA Balbir Verma on Tuesday sought a high-level inquiry into the alleged corruption in the Rampur Bharapur panchayat area of Sirmaur district that came to the fore through information under the RTI Act. As per the information, tonnes of construction material, including cement, gravel, and sand, in Rampur Bharapur panchayat in Paonta Sahib, was shown to have been transported on a two-wheeler.
