CM launches ₹8-cr. project to enhance power infrastructure in Shalimar Bagh
Ms. Gupta announced that the pilot project will be completed in approximately three months.
'With a budget of ₹8.07 crore, the project involves removing 5 km of overhead HT and LT wires and replacing them with 10 kilometres of underground LT (440V) and 1.2 kilometres of HT (11KV) network,' an official statement from the Chief Minister's Office said.
The CM said that the project reflects both a technological upgrade and a vision to make the energy infrastructure safer and more organised. A total of ₹100 crore was allocated during the budget earlier this year to enhance power infrastructure in the Capital.
'This is just the beginning, and the government plans to expand this pilot project to other parts of Delhi soon. A dedicated budget of Rs. 100 crore has been allocated for the phased rollout across various areas of the capital,' she said.

The shares opened at Rs 1,126.20 on the BSE and Rs 1,125 on the NSE, against the issue price of Rs 1,100. The IPO saw a moderate response from investors, closing with an overall subscription of 3.03 times. The Qualified Institutional Buyer (QIB) category recorded the highest demand at 8.10 times, while retail investor participation remained subdued at just 0.73 times. The Non-Institutional Investor (NII) segment was subscribed 1.67 times, indicating cautious interest from high-net-worth investors. Travel Food Services, backed by UK-based SSP Group, operates 397 quick service restaurant outlets and lounges across 14 airports in India and three airports in Malaysia, covering major hubs such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai. ADVERTISEMENT The company offers a diverse food and beverage portfolio comprising 117 partner and in-house brands, serving the rising demand for food and travel services at high-traffic transit locations. Financially, the company reported stable earnings growth in FY25, supported by robust EBITDA margins of 40% and a return on equity (ROE) of 35.47%. However, concerns have been raised over the IPO's valuation, priced at a P/E multiple of 48.6 times, particularly since the offer is entirely secondary with no fresh capital being raised. Mukesh Ambani makes big move, soon your TV will turn into computer as Reliance Jio launches…
Mukesh Ambani Jio Platforms, the digital subsidiary of Reliance Industries, has launched a new service in India called JioPC, to transform televisions into cloud-based personal computers. Using Jio's set-top box and an internet connection, users can access a virtual desktop directly on their TV screens. Reliance Turns TVs Into JioPC Currently in its free trial phase, JioPC is available to users via a waitlist invitation. Once enrolled, users can connect a keyboard and mouse to their television and begin using the service. It comes with pre-installed LibreOffice, and supports Microsoft Office tools via a web browser. However, at this stage, the service does not support external devices like webcams or printers. The Jio set-top box, which enables this feature, is included with Jio's home broadband packages or can be purchased separately for Rs 5,499. What's New In Reliance JioPC? Industry analysts see JioPC as a game-changer in improving digital access across India. With over 488 million users, Jio is now targeting an untapped market: while 70% of Indian households have a TV, only 15% own a personal computer. According to TechCrunch, JioPC can expand access to computing by tapping into this large segment of TV-owning households. Government data shows there are nearly 57 million active pay-TV set-top box users in India. However, the DTH market is slowing down, as subscriber counts falling 8% year-over-year as more users shift to internet-based platforms. Opportunity For Mukesh Ambani's Reliance JioPC While the PC market in India grew by over 8% in Q1, experts say the biggest challenge for JioPC will be marketing the concept helping consumers understand that their TV, with a Jio set-top box, can function as a full-fledged computer. Although virtual desktops from global players like Microsoft exist for enterprise users, JioPC is one of the first serious consumer-focused attempts in this space.
