Wycombe head coach Mike Dodds should be able to name his strongest possible side with the start of the League One season not too far away. Striker Richard Kone has scored three goals in two friendlies thus far and will be out to improve on that tally against Spurs.

SPFL side slam their own fans for 'embarrassing the club' after pyro halts FIRST competitive match of league season

ARBROATH have urged their fans to help them find two individuals who they say "embarrassed the club" by throwing pyro onto the pitch during the very first competitive match of the SPFL season The Gayfield side unfurled the League One title flag on Friday night against Ayr Utd as they put in an accomplished display in a 1-1 draw against Scott Brown's Championship promotion hopefuls. It was captured live on BBC - with SPFL chief executive in attendance. League bosses are cracking down more closely than in recent seasons on pyrotechnics offences - particularly when stoppages are caused to live broadcasts. Celtic, Aberdeen and Partick Thistle were all served with notices of complaint for their fans' use of pyro in games at the end of last season - and it could cost the clubs ticket allocations at Hampden in future matches. Arbroath released a stinging response online, asking fans to shop their fellow supporters, and saying they're not the kind of fans they want at their matches going forward. They wrote: "We would like to thank over 1000 Lichties who attended Gayfield Park to support the team tonight - and we continue to value your support week in, week out as the league progresses. "However, we had two individuals throw burning pyrotechnic devices above our fans' heads in a confined space, which then landed on the pitch, damaging our playing surface while putting our fans, stewards and the players at severe safety risk. "Therefore it is within Arbroath FC's best interests to hold those accountable for their actions, as we strive for our stadium to be a safe place to attend. "To the two individuals - you have not only embarrassed yourselves, you have embarrassed the club within the community, on national television and in front of SPFL delegates. "This is not a fair representation of our club, and absolutely not the impression we wish to give on our return to the championship. Shocking moment Celtic fan's hair set on FIRE after wild pyro display at Hibs game "The current law on pyrotechnics is clear, they are forbidden within stadiums. The club has to follow the SPFL's unacceptable conduct rules, which highlights the possession and discharge of pyrotechnics - in which we as a club must demonstrate an appropriate response. "At this time we ask anyone that can identify the two individuals that have harmed our club and potential supporters to come forward to we can remove these types of individuals from our ground. "These are not the type of individuals we seek support from as they have demonstrated a clear lack of respect for our club, fans, players and safety of all." Son Heung-min set for Spurs reunion with star he had 'beautiful' bust-up with at new club

Tottenham star Son Heung-min has already confirmed his exit from the North London club ahead of the new season with all the signs pointing to just one future destination for the forward Son Heung-min is set to be reunited with Hugo Lloris nearly five years after the pair had a furious dressing room bust-up. The South Korean forward has announced that he will be leaving Spurs this summer after nearly a decade. ‌ ‌ And once a move is formalised, he will be reunited with a familiar face - former Spurs teammate Hugo Lloris. The pair were teammates for over eight years before the French goalkeeper completed a move to the United States. ‌ Between them, the pair made 901 appearances for Spurs, twice going close to winning the Premier League together. And while the pair enjoyed plenty of success, they did not always see eye-to-eye. The pair had to be physically separated in 2020 after coming to verbal blows at half-time of a 1-0 win against West Ham - an altercation that continued in the dressing room. Speaking at the time, ex-Spurs boss Jose Mourinho said: "It's beautiful. "It's a consequence, probably, of our meetings. If you want to blame somebody for that, it's me. I was critical of my boys because they are not in my opinion critical enough with themselves, I asked them to demand more from others, I asked them to put their colleagues under the pressure of the team spirit you have to give. ‌ "It was a situation where an amazing kid, who everybody loves, Sonny, the captain [Lloris] thought he had to do more for the team and give a different effort. "There were a couple of bad words, but I think it was something very important for the team to grow up, for that to happen you need to demand more of each other and be strong personalities. At half-time, I said when I saw the reaction I had no doubts they would stick together until the end." ‌ Asked during his press conference where he would be going, Son refused to name a team, but did suggest that next summer's World Cup would be taken into account. He said: "For now it's to focus on tomorrow's match. 'I would not give many comments on the next team. Obviously I would like to focus on tomorrow's match and the future and the next team will be decided afterwards. 'In choosing the next team, the World Cup will definitely be one of the key points that I will consider. It might be my last World Cup so I need my new environment to give all that I've got for my football career. As well as the World Cup, I will also need to find a team that will make me happy while playing football." Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content.
