Khloé Kardashian Said She Overused Filler And Filters

Buzz Feed16-07-2025
Khloé Kardashian discussed her facial augmentations and use of photo editing on social media.
It's a topic that's landed Khloé in headlines for years now, but one that she appears to be broaching with more transparency now. Earlier this month, the reality star even commented a list of what she's "had done":
In a new episode of Khloé In Wonder Land, she responded to speculation that she's "reconstructed" her whole face. She attributed her changing look to weight loss and the passage of time since she was first on television, adding, "I've also done Botox and fillers. I don't love fillers anymore. Still love Botox. I do lasers on a monthly basis. Love a fucking laser, skin tightening, anything I'll do for skin tightening. But the only facial surgery I've done is the nose job."
It's worth noting that the video of the podcast appears to have a smoothing filter on it.
"I noticed my face looking not the way I like it — I would say stranger — when I was doing fillers. I didn't like that look, but I think we had filler blindness for a moment, or some people did," she continued, noting that she only now gets filler where she had a tumor removed on the side of her face so that it doesn't look "indented."
As for photo editing, Khloé denied that she will currently "Photoshop" every picture she posts. Still, she added, "There was a time that I definitely did. There was a time that I was around some people that would make me feel like I needed to. I also think it was the era, too. I felt like a lot of people were photoshopping, or heavily photoshopping, more than they do now. I do feel like there was a time that we all just got consumed in this filter lifestyle, and we couldn't see ourselves without a filter."
"There was a time that...I wouldn't dare post a photo without heavily photoshopping. And in hindsight, when I look back at those photos, it's a cartoon character. It's humiliating that I thought that was even a version of myself. I feel bad that I thought I needed to look like that," she added.
"I was around people who were all doing that. If they took my photo, they would make me look that way before giving it to me. And then I would think that's how I looked. If I got paparazzied, I'd be like, 'I don't look like that. I look like this photo.' And I really had to reprogram my mind to be like, 'Okay, we have to lay off the filters. This isn't real. That's not how I look, and I don't want to look like that.' It was a strange time," she continued, saying that she felt "consumed in the filter world."
As for now, Khloé said she'll take "500 photos to get one I like," adding, "I definitely have more controlled photos, like [with] good lighting, and I might take a bunch to get the ones I like, but I don't have to Photoshop every photo."

Khloé Kardashian Won't Accept 'Shame' For Having Nannies For Two Kids: 'It Takes A Village!'

is getting real about parenting with help. She believes that raising children is a lot of work and will not accept shame for needing assistance. The American socialite has two children, a daughter named True, 7, and a son named Tatum, 2, with her ex-boyfriend, Canadian professional basketball player Tristan Thompson. The public once slammed Kardashian for admitting that she was exhausted when her live-in nanny was away. Khloé Kardashian Gets Honest About Needing Help With Her Children During a recent episode of her podcast, "Khloe in Wonderland," the reality star openly discussed her struggles with co-parenting, parenting, and mom guilt. She also touched on a topic she usually isn't open about, nannies. The "Good American" co-founder said that parents always have some form of help raising their kids. As such, she doesn't understand the reason for shaming people who hire nannies to help out. Khloé said on the podcast, "People that talk sh-t about nannies, we all have help in some capacity. You can call it daycare, you can call it a school, you can call it in-laws, your mother, sister, [or] whoever. A babysitter." She continued, "For some reason, the term babysitter people find way less offensive than a nanny. I don't know why. We're all blessed, and it takes a village to raise a family." The mother-of-two concluded, rebuking the "shame" given to parents that have some form of help. "There is no shame in that," she declared. The Mother-Of-Two Was 'Exhausted' Without Nannies While rare, this isn't the first time Khloé has admitted to needing help with her children. During a May 2024 episode of 'The Kardashians,' she briefly touched on the topic during a discussion with her sister, Kourtney Kardashian. Khloé explained that at the time, Thompson, with whom she co-parents, was away in Ohio. Additionally, she didn't have nannies to help with the kids at night, and the stress of caring for the children all by herself was taking a toll on her. The reality star admitted, according to The Sun, that she often crawled into bed at the end of each day due to exhaustion. In her words: "It's the weirdest thing. Because you're exhausted and you're like, I'm gonna die, and then literally when they're asleep by 10, I'm like I miss them. Like, get it together, Khloé, snap out of it." However, fans did not have any empathy for her plight. Instead, they criticized her for complaining when she should have been grateful for having help. "But she has a nanny all day .....something most moms don't have the luxury of," one harsh comment read. The Reality TV Star Stood By Her Decision to Sell Her Children's Used Clothes Khloé is no stranger to facing backlash from the public for her decisions. Earlier this year, she was also criticized for selling her children's used clothes online. The founder of 'Khloud Popcorn' had advertised some of her son's clothes online, stating that she was putting them up for sale because he had outgrown them. She also shared a link to her online shop, 'KardashianKloset,' where fans could purchase other used items. The post was met with heavy backlash for selling the clothes rather than donating them. However, Khloé expressed no guilt about her decisions. An insider stated that the mother of two only saw it as a smart way to recycle and make a profit without being wasteful. True Thompson Suffered A Health Scare Just Last Year As much as Khloé strives to provide a safe and homely environment for her children, it isn't always a smooth ride. Her seven-year-old daughter suffered a health scare just last year over the holidays. The 41-year-old told her Instagram followers that her two children had fallen under the weather shortly before Christmas. While Tatum was able to get back on his feet in time for Christmas, True wasn't. When speaking on the situation, the media personality said that it was 'really scary.' Khloé Shares Raw And Honest Conversation With Her Brother, Rob Kardashian Khloé, a family-oriented person, not only dedicates her time to her children but also to her siblings, especially her only brother, Rob Kardashian. The pair is known to share a special bond. During last week's episode of her podcast, she had a brief discussion with the 38-year-old on why he chooses to stay out of the limelight, unlike the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. While on a call with Rob, she pointedly asked him if his decision to stay under the radar was due to bad blood between him and his sisters. According to The Blast, he said that there was no animosity between him and his family members. However, he simply chooses to remain low-key because he isn't comfortable enough to be vulnerable on camera. Solve the daily Crossword

Khloé Kardashian Breaks Silence On Reason For New Found Caregiver Role

Khloé Kardashian wears her heart on her sleeve, and for Amari Thompson, she would do anything. The mother-of-two opened up about why she needed to fill in the big shoes of looking after Tristan Thompson's younger brother after their mother, Andrea Thompson. Khloé Kardashian welcomed two kids with the NBA player, True Thompson in 2018 and Tatum Thompson in 2022, during their on-and-off relationship, which lasted for about five years and officially ended in 2021. Khloé Kardashian Is Pleased To Have Amari Thompson As A Part Of Her Family The reality star shared on her podcast that after Andrea passed away in 2023, it became important for them to pay extra attention to Amari, who has also lost his primary caregiver in the person of his mother. Hence, she continued that the family decided to take Amari back to the United States, as he lived with Andrea in Canada. Tristan also filed to become Amari's sole caregiver after they laid Andrea to rest. Khloé explained that Tristan's schedule was another hurdle they needed to scale since he was always on the move, and Amari's health could absolutely not withstand that kind of stress due to the multiple seizures. The Hulu star then noted that the whole family finally decided that Amari should stay with her in Los Angeles. The weather in the area is also excellent for his health, and Amari enjoys the company of Khloé, her family, and her two kids. "We just want to provide Amari with the best, most beautiful life that we know how. And he deserves that," the podcaster concluded on the season finale of her "Khloé in Wonderland" podcast. She also affirmed that Amari is under expert care around the clock with the most experienced team of caregivers. The 41-Year-Old Is Doing It All For The Love Of Tristan's Late Mother Khloé added that her phenomenal relationship with Tristan's mother, despite the complicated bond between her and Tristan, aided her relationship with Amari. She also recalled getting active with Andrea on Amari's treatments and medical records. According to Khloé, Andrea "would have questions, she would need connections to certain doctors, and I would help with that. I was very much involved in all of his medical appointments when Andrea was here." The mother-of-two continued that she is fully aware of how much Amari meant to his late mother, and her bond with Tristan's family is not severed by her and Tristan's extinct relationship. That is not all, Khloé stressed the importance of having Amari around to bond with his nieces and nephews and remind her kids that special people deserve love. She added that Amari's presence will teach her kids "compassion" and "understanding." "And I love seeing how Amari lights up when he's around the kids. He can't verbally talk, but … if you know him well enough, he can definitely express himself, and you see the glimmer in his eyes," Khloé noted. Khloé's Family Had An Emotional Reaction To Amari's Seizure During His 18th Birthday As shared by Today, Khloé and her family gathered in her home to celebrate Amari's 18th birthday, as aired in the 6th season of their hit Hulu show "The Kardashians." Khloé described the event as a huge milestone for the youngster who makes every day with him feel like a blessing. However, Amari suffered one of his seizures during the event, which sent chills down Kris Jenner's spine. The younger Thompson suffers from a severe form of epilepsy known as Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, making him in need of a 24/7 assistant. According to the Cleveland Clinic, Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome is a form of childhood epilepsy that causes multiple seizures and exposes the patient to the risk of permanent brain damage. Kris became emotional at the sight of Amari's seizure, noting in a later confessional that the feeling of helplessness when someone is in a state of distress is frustrating. "It's uncontrollable and there's nothing that you can really do, but I'm glad I was here. I'm glad I was here for Amari. I'm glad I was here for Khloé," Kris noted. She expressed her pride in Khloé for handling the situation with so much patience and precision and remaining unwavering in support for Amari. The Good American Founder Got Candid About Parenting Struggles The doting mom and entrepreneur does not pretend about the hassles of raising two kids and how she finds herself needing help. As shared by The Blast, Khloé stated that she will not be stigmatized for seeking additional support with her children. On her podcast, the 41-year-old slammed the culture of shaming moms into battling the stress of parenting in silence. "People that talk sh-t about nannies, we all have help in some capacity. You can call it daycare, you can call it a school, you can call it in-laws, your mother, sister, or whoever. A babysitter," Khloé noted. In a 2024 episode of their reality show, she confided in her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, that not having people to help her with the kids at night usually leaves her overwhelmed and exhausted at night. Khloé Kardashian Spoke On Parenting With Tristan Thompson The reality star and her baby daddy have come a long way in their relationship, whether as ex-lovers or parents of two toddlers. In a story by PEOPLE, the podcaster explained that both of them have gotten to a point in their interaction where they maintain a great friendship borne out of mutual respect. The star admitted last year that they eventually realized they were great individuals separately, but not meant to be partners. However, she commended the professional basketballer for being a very excellent father to their children. Khloé added that parenting comes in multiple facets, all of which she enjoys. In her words, she feels she was made to be a mother, and there is no place she would rather be than at home with her babies. Solve the daily Crossword

Why Khloé Kardashian became primary caretaker for Tristan Thompson's brother

Khloé Kardashian is opening up about her decision to care for her ex's brother who is 'severely disabled.' In the July 30 episode of her 'Khloé in Wonder Land' podcast, the 41-year-old reality TV star fielded questions from her fans when she was asked about Tristan Thompson's 18-year-old brother, Amari. Amari, who has LGS (Lennox-Gastaut syndrome), was being cared for by his mother, Andrea, until 2023 when she died of a heart attack, per People. She was 53. According to the Epilepsy Foundation, LGS 'is a type of epilepsy with multiple different types of seizures, particularly tonic (stiffening) and atonic (drop) seizures.' On her July 30 podcast, Kardashian clarified that Amari is unable to walk and has never been able to talk. 'Tristan is in the NBA, and he is in a different state literally every other day or every few days, and it's just not conducive for Amari to be on that many planes,' she explained. 'Amari has a handful of seizures a day with the type of epilepsy that he has,' she added. According to People, Kardashian is now Amari's primary caretaker, while Thompson is his legal guardian. 'So Amari stays in L.A. with me, and I have chosen to take care of him and be there for him, because it's not good that he travels,' she continued. Kardashian clarified that she has two 'sensational caretakers' that help her care for Amari at home. 'We just want to provide Amari with the best, most beautiful life that we know how. And he deserves that,' she added of her decision to step in and help. In an April episode of 'The Kardashians,' Kardashian opened up about how Amari 'has never and will never be a burden,' per Page Six. She echoed that statement in her July 30 podcast and revealed how having Amari as part of her family is beneficial to everyone — including her two kids that she shares with Thompson. 'Amari deserves someone who will be there for him, take care of him, provide a great lifestyle for him and so Amari deserves my love and care, regardless of where me and Tristan stand,' she explained. As for her younger kids, Kardashian says it's 'so important' to expose them to 'all different types of people.' 'I think it teaches everyone compassion, understanding. It opens up their minds to seeing, wow, Amari is disabled, sure, but he's also just like us at the same time,' she said. 'And I love seeing how Amari lights up when he's around the kids,' she added. Though Amari can't talk, Kardashian said he does express himself around those he's familiar with. 'You see the glimmer in his eyes. And he's just such an amazing, amazing young man. And I'm so proud and honored that I have Amari in my life,' she continued. Kardashian and Thompson, who were together on-and-off from 2016 to 2022, share two children — daughter True, 7, and son Tatum, 3 — together, according to People.
