Deion Sanders had the most predictable answer about his preferred NFL team for Shedeur Sanders
Deion Sanders is a proud father who, like any good dad, just wants the best for his son. His son is, of course, Shedeur Sanders, one of the top prospects in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, alongside names like fellow quarterback Cam Ward, elite dual-position threat Travis Hunter, and pass-rusher Abdul Carter.
And according to comments Sanders made at ProMat 2025, Sanders believes the best for his son is being drafted by the New York Giants, either at No. 3 overall or otherwise. For anyone who knows and understands Sanders, it is the least surprising thing ever to hear that he wants Shedeur playing in a big media market like New York for one of the NFL's traditionally premier franchises.
The Sanders family doesn't shy away from the limelight. It clearly and usually has almost always embraced it:
The good news for both Deion and Shedeur is that it appears they just might get their wish. Most mock drafts seem to be centering on Shedeur falling to the Giants at No. 3 overall. In fact, that's where our Christian D'Andrea placed the ex-Colorado quarterback in his latest mock draft. In other words, the stars are kind of aligning here.
I, for one, can't wait to see how the Sanders family potentially tackles New York. It genuinely does seem like the perfect fit.

Bill Belichick: North Carolina is a pro program, we have an NFL approach in college

North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick says he's coaching his college football team like he coached in the NFL. Asked at the ACC media day if he's trying to introduce NFL-level schemes and concepts to college football, Belichick answered, 'That's exactly what we're trying to do. That's my philosophy.' Belichick said he views the Tar Heels like a pro team that just needs some minor adjustments for younger players. 'It's a pro program,' Belichick said. 'Practice, training, food, schemes, terminology, it's all a pro program. Not to the extent that we did it in the NFL — there will be fewer plays, fewer adjustments — but it will be along those lines.' Belichick said to the extent that he'll coach differently, it's largely about the differences between NCAA rules, such as college football's wider hashmarks and the overtime format that takes place mostly in the red zone. 'There's some things I don't think we'll need at this level and other things that we are,' Belichick said. 'Based on hashmarks and things like that that are difference, the overtime system — the red area could potentially come up a lot more than in the NFL on a percentage basis. Things like that that you just have to take into consideration. But fundamentally, we're going to do as much as we can as a pro system.'

NFL Top 100: Jaguars DE Josh Hines-Allen is No. 63, faces Arizona Cardinals in 2025

The Cardinals face Jaguars DE Josh Hines-Allen, the No. 63 player in the 'NFL Top 100,' in Week 12. This week, the NFL had its fourth week of revealing players in the "NFL Top 100." This week was about revealed Nos. 61-70. Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride came in at No. 65. On Thursday, a player the Cardinals will face as an opponent in 2025 was included. Coming in at No. 63 is Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Josh Hines-Allen. He was No. 35 in 2024. Center Mitch Morse, the Jaguars' starter last season in the final year of his NFL career, said that players like Hines-Allen make him glad he wasn't a tackle. Tight end Evan Engram called him a "game-wrecker" in both against the run and rushing the passer. His sack production declined last season. After 17.5 sacks in 2023 with 17 tackles for loss and 33 quarterback hits, making the Pro Bowl for the first time, he had eight sacks, 10 tackles for loss and 19 quarterback hits last season. The Cardinals will host the Jaguars in 2025 in Week 12. Luckily, they have the tackle quality to be able to handle or at least limit him.
