Weather in the UAE on Saturday, July 5 will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, the met department has reported. Low clouds are expected to appear over the East coast with a probability of light rainfall by morning, the country's National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has said.
Along with the rainfall, a slight and gradual decrease in temperatures is also expected on Saturday, bringing slight relief from the extreme heat.
Moderate to fresh Northwesterly winds, strong at times, causing blowing dust and sand, westward daytime are expected. Wind speed will range from 10–25 kmph, reaching 45 kmph.
The sea will be rough to very rough at times by night offshore in the Arabian Gulf and moderate, may become rough at times in Oman Sea, the NCM said.
Highest temperature in Dubai on Saturday will be 40°C, with the lowest being 32°C. In Abu Dhabi, temperatures will range between 31°C and 38°C. Sharjah temperatures are expected to range between 29°C and 39°C.
A yellow alert was issued by the NCM on Friday, July 4, for rough sea and fresh winds reaching up to 40kmph, blowing in a northwesterly direction. The highest temperature recorded over the country on Friday was 46.2 °C at 3:45pm.
