Italian journalist Paolo Condo believes Inter Milan and Atalanta are 'reading from two different scripts' regarding Ademola Lookman.
Condo gave his thoughts on the burgeoning transfer soap opera in today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews.
Yesterday the biggest bombshell yet in the summer transfer soap opera between Ademola Lookman, Atalanta, and Inter Milan arrived.
Behind the scenes, the 27-year-old former RB Leipzig forward has been pressuring Atalanta into selling him. By all accounts, he only wants Inter this summer.
Lookman had already scrubbed all traces of his current employers from his social media accounts a couple days prior. That was not exactly a subtle way to send a message.
But yesterday, Lookman took his grievance to a new level. He openly demanded a transfer. Furthermore, there were harsh words as the player accused Atalanta of 'poor treatment' and 'breaking a promise.'

Italian journalist Paolo Condo writes that 'This ongoing drama suggests that Inter and Atalanta are each playing their part, reading from two different scripts.'
'Inter internally. And Atalanta externally.'
'Oaktree have long made it clear that their transfer strategy includes young players,' Condo niotes. 'With the potential to increase in value, like Sucic anmd Luis Henrique.'
'Marotta and Ausilio have secured a transfer budget to immediately revitalize a struggling team.'
'Lookman is 27 and is a top player right now,' Condo then notes.
'But it's hard to imagine him generating a future profit.'
'Therefore, Marotta, before asking for the extra cash in the budget that may prove to be necessary, is putting on the face of a relentless negotiator.'
On the other hand, for Atalanta 'if they sell the Nigerian right now without resistance, it will feed United's appetite for Carnesecchi, and Newcastle's for Scalvini.'
'They would become a club who are prey to the bigger sides. And so Lookman must be frustrated.'
'First, the social media sulking. Then, the message to the fans.'
'In these cases, the clubs end up reaching an agreement 'because the player has given up some of his wages.'' Condo notes.
'That's almost never true. But they have to do it somehow.'
