HBO releases 'Hard Knocks' 2025 schedule featuring the Buffalo Bills
HBO will release the first episode of the series on Tuesday, Aug. 5, at 9 p.m. Viewers may also stream the episodes on HBO Max. Each subsequent episode will be released weekly on Tuesday night, culminating with the season finale on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
The 2025 edition of the series, officially titled "Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Buffalo Bills," will explore Buffalo's ramp-up to another highly anticipated season. Buffalo is the favorite to win the AFC East, and the Bills are among the top bets to make a run to the Super Bowl.
The episodes will provide an all-access look at the team, both on and off the field.
Quarterback Josh Allen, who will undoubtedly be a focal point of the show, isn't worried about the cameras at training camp. "This is what a good organization looks like, and people are going to get a sneak peek into that and just how we operate." Allen adds, "So again, you can kind of think two ways about it, but we're taking the way of like, hey, let's just do what we do and whatever is shown is shown."
Several other storylines may be of interest to producers. The series can explore what the Bills need to do to finally get over the hump and win their first AFC Championship since 1993.
Additionally, there are several interesting subplots. Running back James Cook, in search of a new contract, is fully participating in activities. Buffalo's new-look defensive line, with several new additions via the draft and free agency, will be something to watch as well.
Beyond the sidelines, safety Damar Hamlin, who has advocated for youth safety and resources since his cardiac arrest in January 2023, was present when New York Governor Kathy Hochul signed legislation for youth sports organizations to have AEDs (automatic defibrillator devices) and implementation plans for youth events.

Seahawks extend GM John Schneider through 2031 NFL season
The Seattle Seahawks have extended general manager John Schneider through the 2031 season, the team announced on Wednesday. Schneider has held the GM position since 2010. He added the role of executive vice president in 2013 and the title of president of football operations in 2024. The extension comes two years before Schneider's previous deal was set to expire in 2027. He is currently the longest tenured general manager in franchise history. Schneider arrived in Seattle in January 2010 after Pete Carroll was hired as the coach and executive vice president of football operations. Schneider had previously worked with the team as the director of player personnel in 2000. His first tenure in Seattle succeeded three years as a scout for the Green Bay Packers and three years as the director of pro personnel with the Kansas City Chiefs. He then served in personnel-related roles with the Washington Redskins and Packers before returning to Seattle. Schneider and Carroll helped the Seahawks win Super Bowl XLVIII in February 2014 when Seattle defeated the Denver Broncos, 43-8, in New Jersey. According to the Seattle Times, the extension was a result of a strong vote of confidence for Schneider to help keep stability atop the Seahawks organization. The search for stability follows massive changes in recent years, including the trades of stars Russell Wilson, Geno Smith and DK Metcalf. The Seahawks also moved on from Carroll after the 2023 season and replaced him with Mike Macdonald. The Seahawks have not made the playoffs since their wild-card appearance in 2022. Last season, they finished second in the NFC West with a 10-7 record. Seattle's notable offseason moves include signing quarterback Sam Darnold, wide receiver Cooper Kupp and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence. They also re-signed linebacker Ernest Jones IV and defensive tackle Jarran Reed.

Seahawks general manager John Schneider gets contract extension through 2031
SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle Seahawks general manager and president of football operations John Schneider signed a contract extension through the 2031 season on Wednesday. Schneider is the longest-tenured GM in franchise history, having held the job since 2010. The Seahawks did not disclose terms of the deal. 'The extension of general manager John Schneider's contract is a testament to his 15-plus years of football leadership and success,' Seahawks owner Jody Allen said in a statement. 'I am confident that John will continue to deliver real results and a continued strong partnership with head coach Mike Macdonald that is already contributing to our winning culture on and off the field.' The 54-year-old Schneider first joined the Seahawks in 2000 as director of player personnel, and then returned to the franchise in 2010 as GM and executive vice president. Seattle made the playoffs in Schneider's first season and won the Super Bowl in his fourth. During Schneider's time as GM, the Seahawks have compiled the sixth-best record in the NFL at 147-96-1 and have won 10 or more games in nine of the past 13 seasons. Seattle has made the playoffs 10 times in 15 seasons and has won five NFC West titles and two conference championships under Schneider. ___ AP NFL:
