"We consider these requests to be highly valuable": Marvel Rivals developers commit to adding fan-favorite characters
In a bold step that might just reshape the future of Marvel Rivals, NetEase's developers have demonstrated an explicit focus on making fan feedback the heart of the game's development.
Game director Guangyun Chen has said the team is now keenly turning to community votes to influence the roster, drawing from Marvel's expansive 85-year history of comic book characters.
A Superhero Free For All, Now with Fan Control
With a hero shooter built around a Marvel-sized universe, the problem isn't finding the characters, it's deciding who and when. From A-list icons like Jean Grey and Blade to deep cuts like Jeff the Land Shark or Soft Serve, the options are virtually inexhaustible.
Instead of guessing, the devs are letting fans take the wheel. 'We consider these [requests] to be highly valuable and will use them as an important factor in our planning for upcoming seasons"
It's a change fans are applauding, not only for its openness, but for what it offers, a Marvel game that evolves based on the desires of the gamers themselves.
Faster Rollouts = Faster Dreams?
Initially, Marvel Rivals intended to publish new heroes every six weeks.

Now, they're adding characters every month, increasing the tempo and giving the community more optimism that their personal favorites may be dropping sooner than later.
This leaves an opening for both classics and cult favorites. Characters like Daredevil and Gambit have inundated fan requests across social media, with one user just repeating, 'Daredevil Daredevil Daredevil'. Some are requesting anything from Ghost Rider to Devil Dinosaur and even a tongue-in-cheek call for Godzilla.
'Apart from of course the big ones like daredevil, punisher etc., I'd love to see more obscure ones,' commented a fan, 'like devil dinosaur. Another added, 'Great to see the devs are listening, now bring us Gambit, Daredevil and more X-Men#MarvelRivals'
For NetEase the message is clear: they're not just building a Marvel game, they're building your Marvel game. What better time than the present to scream your wishlist into the abyss. Who can say? Whether you desire Thanos, Squirrel Girl, or even the Human Fly, the next surprise addition could be yours. So what's next! That's your decision.

'Detective Ujjwalan' OTT release: Dhyan Sreenivasan starrer to stream on THIS platform
(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) After a decent theatrical run since its release on May 23, 2025, 'Detective Ujjwalan', starring Dhyan Sreenivasan , has kept fans guessing about its digital debut. Now, reports suggest that the wait might be over soon. The film is reportedly heading to Netflix for its OTT release — though no official date has been confirmed yet. According to film industry buzz, including a social media post by AB George, Netflix is believed to have picked up the digital rights. This move comes as a surprise to many, as the streaming giant hasn't often backed Malayalam films in recent months. So why Detective Ujjwalan? The 'Minnal Murali' connection Industry insiders speculate that the decision is largely due to the film's ties with Minnal Murali, the Tovino Thomas superhero hit. Detective Ujjwalan is set in the same cinematic universe — known as the Weekend Cinematic Universe — and takes place in the neighboring village of Plaachikkaavu. That shared universe connection may have been key in attracting Netflix's interest. On the TV front, there's also chatter that ZEE Network has acquired the satellite rights. What the film Is about and ETimes verdict Directed by Indraneel Gopeekrishnan and Rahul G, Detective Ujjwalan follows a quirky local detective navigating through minor village crimes — until a chilling series of murders shakes up his sleepy hometown. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Is your tinnitus getting worse? Do this immediately (Watch) Hearing Magazine Undo ETimes gave the Dhyan Sreenivasan starrer a rating of 2.5 stars out of 5 and our official review reads, "There are some rules that a detective story needs to make it work and for the effect to stay with us. Some red herrings that will confuse the audience so that we are emotionally and intellectually caught up in the story, a detective who uses logic that will baffle us with its brilliance and a final revelation of the culprit that will shock us. Detective Ujjwalan does not use any of these devices in a forceful enough manner. The period settings are interesting and the village characters are loveable enough, though some of the superb comic talents from social media, Ameen, Nihal Nizam, Nibraz and Shahubas, are barely utilised. The film seems to go in the direction of most Dhyan films; a bit of an anti-climax."

Open to a Fast & Furious-type role As seen in a post shared by Laxmi Kanth on X (formerly Twitter) during the interaction, the reporter asked Ajith if he would be interested in starring in a film based on racing, especially with the genre gaining global popularity thanks to franchises like 'Fast & Furious' and the increasing presence of Formula 1 in entertainment circles. Responding to it, Ajith said, "I guess maybe Fast and Furious sequel.. or F1 sequel. . I normally perform my own stunts in the film.. So if there's a calling why not." — iammoviebuff007 (@iammoviebuff007) While nothing official has been announced, the idea of a race-based Indian film with Ajith in the lead certainly holds potential, especially at a time when pan-India projects are embracing new genres and stories rooted in global appeal. John Leguizamo says he "learned a lot about respect" in his first marriage
(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) Actor-comedian John Leguizamo recently opened up about the lessons he learned from his past. In a recent interview with PEOPLE, the 64-year-old star spoke about how his first marriage helped him grow into a better man and husband. He was married to actress Yelba Zoe McCourt from 1994 to 1996, before marrying his current wife, Justine Maurer, in 2003. According to PEOPLE, in the new season of his MSNBC docuseries, the actor joked to chef Melissa Araujo of Alma in New Orleans while discussing the gentle touch of shaping dough for Honduran baleadas: "If I had your advice, maybe my first marriage would've survived." When asked by PEOPLE what he learned from his first marraige, Leguizamo said, "The starter marriage was definitely very important for my maturation." For Leguizamo, it was a "life-learning experience," because he doesn't think he would be the same husband or man if he hadn't gone through the experience of the first marriage. "I learned a lot about respect. I learned a lot about compromise. I learned that it doesn't happen by itself -- that marriage is really work, and you gotta work, and you gotta put work into it, and you gotta put yourself into it," he added. Leguizamo, who shares two children with Maurer -- daughter Allegra, 25, and son Lucas, 24 -- believes one of the keys to a lasting relationship is staying involved in each other's lives. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo "You really gotta stay interested in each other, and do things together," he said, according to PEOPLE.
