On Saturday, Kapoor took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account to post photos showing heaps of garbage scattered along a roadside in Sector 44, Gurgaon, with several cows standing or sitting amid the mess. The images, taken from inside a car, also included a screengrab from Google Maps confirming the location.
Kapoor wrote, 'Months later, worse than ever before. Shame on you, @MunCorpGurugram @DC_Gurugram @cmohry — no respect for the land, for tax-paying citizens, and not even for the cows! And you want to build a Disneyland in Haryana? Ludicrous!'

Kapoor also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, appealing for urgent intervention. '@narendramodi ji, please do something! #SwachhBharat.'

Kapoor earlier defended Air India amid crash backlash
The former airline executive has recently been in the spotlight not only for his civic commentary but also for defending Air India, amid widespread criticism following the crash of a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner in Ahmedabad this June, which claimed the lives of over 260 people.

In response to calls for banning the airline, Kapoor posted, 'Amazing! Tens, even hundreds of thousands are killed in road & rail accidents each year in India — 2,000+ a year on Mumbai's suburban rail alone — and people don't bat an eyelid. Air India has had a stellar safety record for decades. One tragedy and people lose all sense of perspective.'
He also highlighted the aircraft's strong global safety record: 'Maybe because until the tragedy of AI-171, the Boeing 787 had flown over 5 million flights since its launch without a crash or fatality? Air turnbacks and minor tech glitches occur several times a day across all aircraft types. Flying remains the safest form of transportation.'

‘In its conclusion phase…': India-US mini trade deal coming soon? These sectors may be excluded as Donald Trump's tariff deadline nears

India-US trade deal: Intense discussions are underway between both countries to finalise a mini trade deal. (AI image) India-US trade deal: India and the United States are close to finalising a limited trade agreement, with officials confirming that sensitive sectors like dairy and agriculture are expected to be left out of the current arrangement. Intense discussions are underway between both countries to finalise a mini trade deal before the Donald Trump administration's 90-day reciprocal tariff suspension concludes on July 9. In April, the United States President Donald Trump declared matching tariffs for most US trading partners, calculated on their trade surpluses with America, incorporating a 26% duty on India. Also Read | 'India has drawn its red lines…': Ahead of Donald Trump's tariff deadline, officials say 'ball in US court' on trade deal; here's what's happening The Indian government seeks complete withdrawal of the 26% tariff, whilst America demands broader market entry across industries, including agricultural and dairy sectors, along with permission to export genetically modified crops to India. India-US Mini Trade Deal Soon? "The deal is in its conclusion phase," said an official. "Most issues related to agri may be discussed later. As of now, they seem to be out of the ambit of this phase of the deal," the official told ET, adding that the agreement could be announced in the next two days. A second official confirmed that the mini trade deal would specifically address trade in goods. The source told the financial daily that both countries might proceed with additional agreements in future as various matters reach resolution. India aims to secure enhanced market opportunities in the US for its workforce-driven sectors, particularly textiles and electronics. The US, in turn, seeks permission to export genetically modified (GM) crops and cattle feed to India, which remains a delicate matter for the Indian government. These aspects present significant hurdles for India, considering that domestic agriculturists predominantly practise subsistence farming on modest plots of land. The US administration, however, maintains its stance against reducing duties below the 10% threshold. Trump has indicated that his government would dispatch letters to individual nations failing to reach an agreement with the United States by July 9, detailing the duties they would need to pay for American-bound exports. Should negotiations collapse or the July 9 deadline remain unchanged, India would face tariffs reverting to the April 2 rate of 26%. 'Never heard of it': Elon Musk's nonchalant swipe at Donald Trump's ‘America Party' rant on Truth Social; netizens remind him

Elon Musk fired off a nonchalant jab at Donald Trump after the US president lashed out over Musk's newly launched "America Party." With a smirk-worthy 'What's Truth Social?' Musk played down Trump's attack, but the internet wasn't having it. Netizens piled on, reminding Musk exactly what Trump's platform is, as the tech titan and the president's feud took a fresh, viral twist. "What's Truth Social? Never heard of it," Musk said, responding to a post on X which posted the screenshot of Donald Trump's long Truth Social rant against his ex-ally Musk. In his post, Trump called Musk a "train wreck" who had gone "completely off the rails" over the "past five weeks". "I am saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely 'off the rails,' essentially becoming a TRAIN WRECK over the past five weeks," Trump said. He further went on to call out Musk's newly launched "America Party" saying that the US political system wasn't build to make a third party succeed. "He even wants to start a Third Political Party, despite the fact that they have never succeeded in the United States - The System seems not designed for them. The one thing Third Parties are good for is the creation of Complete and Total DISRUPTION & CHAOS, and we have enough of that with the Radical Left Democrats, who have lost their confidence and their minds!" Trump said. Meanwhile, netizens were quick to remind Musk about Truth Social, a platform he's commented on several times before. "Elon Musk says he's never heard of Truth Social. However, he has made several posts in the past about President Trump's Truth Social posts," said Trump ally Laura Loomer. Another user posted a screenshot of Musk's 2022 X post where he was comparing Truth Social's performance on Apple Store against Twitter and TikTok. Musk, once a major donor to Trump's 2024 campaign, parted ways with the president after spearheading cost-cutting measures as head of the Department of Government Efficiency.

July 7, 1985, Forty Years Ago: Indo-Pak troops clash

Security forces effectively foiled an attempt by Pakistani troops to encroach on an Indian Army post in the Chhajja area, about 6 km from Poonch, according to official sources. They said that Pakistani troops made another bid to encroach on the nearby Indian army post at Karmarrah, but their attempt was foiled. New Gujarat CM Amarsinh Chaudhary, a close confidante of the outgoing chief minister, Madhavsinh Solanki, was sworn in as chief minister of Gujarat. Solanki, who returned from Delhi, tendered his resignation to the governor in the morning after a cabinet meeting. He is the second Congress-I chief minister of Gujarat to have been forced out of office by an agitation. Chimanbhai Patel's ministry was dismissed in 1974 in the wake of a students' agitation. Black box search A new robot submarine is taking over the search for the flight recorder of a crashed Air India jet. Reports that it had been found were premature, a leader of the recovery team said. Commander Frank Digeorge, US Navy consultant to the operation, said the team now believed the minisubmarine at the scene lacked the equipment to detect the recorder's signal. Tourism crisis The tourism industry is facing an unprecedented crisis following sharp decline in foreign tourist traffic to India after Indira Gandhi's assassination last October. According to officials in the travel trade, the tourist traffic has dropped by 20 to 30 per cent since November 1984, resulting in the loss of crores of rupees in foreign exchange. They said that group after group cancelled their scheduled trips to India after the assassination and the subsequent violence that erupted all over the country.
