The deal had been stuck in limbo but the French club appear to have finally made their move
Rangers have reportedly turned down Lille's first offer for Hamza Igamane after they French club finally made their move.
Igamane impressed in his debut Ibrox campaign - netting 16 goals for the Light Blues after a £1.7million move from AS FAR last summer.

That has sparked discussions with the Ligue 1 side over a potential move - with And Rangers new owners 49ers Enterprises are determined to land a bumper profit in the 22-year-old with the Glasgow giants holding out for a £15million payday.

And while Igamane has already agreed personal terms over a move no formal bid has been tabled - with Lille president Olivier Letang previously admitting the club were in no hurry to get a deal done.
But La Voix Des Sports report that the club have finally made a formal move with a £13million offer put on the table - but the Scottish Premiership side have reportedly stuck to their valuation and turned down the offer.
Lille are said to feel a deal is "stuck" at this stage with Rangers now unwilling to lose the striker before their Champions League qualifier with Panathinaikos next Tuesday.
Rangers "will be given time" to assess the situation following their clash with the Greek side and find a replacement - but it is expected a deal could be done should they "raise their bids"
Speaking about the frontman last week, Lille supremo Olivier Letang confirmed interest with a deal deadlocked: "He is indeed a player we are following, but we have not yet made any offers to his club."

Rangers' boss Russell Martin has been unmoved by the speculation with Igamane reporting for the pre-season training camp at St George's Park.
However, the Morocco international was a notable absentee from the team that played in a closed-door friendly against Barnsley to round off the week of training - missing the clash with the Tykes alongside Cyriel Dessers, who has also been tipped for a move to AEK,

Rangers' concern can't be Champions League - true marker is vs Celtic

That's because they need to focus on their 'true marker' for success this season. Which, according to former Scotland international Colin Hendry, is to win the Scottish Premiership title back from Celtic. Rangers will go into a two-legged encounter against the Greek giants, starting next week. "Russell would have been 34 or 35 at the time and it was his first few weeks in the job at MK Dons," Hendry wrote in The Sunday Post. "We met for an hour and I was impressed. "He was young, he was enthusiastic and he was honest. Russell showed me that he had something about him. I left the meeting thinking that I was going to follow his career. "There is no doubt Russell will have learned so much from those four or five months in the EPL (with Southampton). Rangers will get the benefit of that. "It is not going to be easy for him, that's for sure. It's a massive ask to go to Rangers and turn them into title winners. But that's what he has signed up for. "He knows the level of expectation and he knows that he will need to deliver. Rangers is a massive football club and they want success. They are fed up seeing Celtic being so dominant. Read more: "The Champions League tie against Panathinaikos will be important, of course it is. But the true marker is what the club does in the Premiership. "Winning the league is what truly matters. Last season, the team showed that they could beat Celtic. But the true marker is what the club does in the Premiership. "But it was going to Motherwell, St Mirren and Hibernian. They are the fixtures where they faltered. They need to get that right. "I found it tough psychologically, with the demands of having to win but not just by one goal. No, the fans wanted us to win by three or four. "That's what Rangers is about. But that kind of pressure isn't for everyone. Whether a manager or a player, you need to have something special about you to cope with that every week. "It's been clear in the past decade or so that too many people at Rangers haven't been up to the task and it needs to change."

I'm a famous ex-Celtic star - golf hero left me 'starstruck'

That would usually be the case for former St Mirren, Celtic, West Ham and Scotland striker Frank McAvennie. However, the 65-year-old was caught off guard last week when he bumped into golfing legend, Gary Player. Posting on social media, Macca shared a pic of himself posing for a photo with the 89-year-old at Trump Turnberry, Ayrshire. Player is regarded as one of the greatest golfers to ever live. He is one of just six golfers to achieve the grand slam - winning all four of the sport's major titles. He won two of his three Open Championships in Scotland, prevailing at Muirfield in 1959 and at Carnoustie in 1968. The South African won 165 professional tournaments during his seven decades as a fierce competitor. McAvennie posted the image on Instagram and admitted he was stunned by the sight of Player. He captioned the post: "One of the true legends of golf, Gary Player, down Trump Turnberry Scotland just before teeing off. "Don't get starstruck often, but this guy is a different level and a proper gentleman."
