Huge music concert cancelled amidst safety fears as fans travel to venue

Lytham Festival has been cancelled due to "adverse weather conditions". The organisers released a statement on Friday evening hours before it was due to start.
They said: "Due to adverse weather conditions, we unfortunately have had to make the decision to cancel this evening. The safety of our customers, staff and artists is our priority and increasing high winds mean it would not be safe to go ahead."
On Friday, the likes of Alanis Morissette, Train, Liz Phair and more were due to perform. Fans fumed as they took to the festival's socials to claim they didn't find out about the cancellations until last minute.
One user said underneath the festival's Facebook post: "Omg I'm literally soaking wet waiting for the flyer and then some kind random lady told me it was cancelled. No email or text from you...very poor comms!"
Another furious user commented: "Ridiculous announcement too late, we are in a world where we absolutely know what the weather conditions will be, clearly not prepared with the right equipment. Glastonbury continues if your swimming to the stage. Bloody joke."
One questioned why it took them so long to post the news on social media. They said: "We were turned away 40mins ago. Shocking that it's taken this long to officially announce it on social media and your app."
This year's festival is supposed to host five nights of live music on Lytham Green on the baks of the Ribble Estuary. Over 100,000 people attend every summer, with the likes of Lionel Richie and Lewis Capaldi previously headlining.
Stevie Wonder kicked off this year's festival on Thursday evening with a supporting performance from Corinne Bailey Rae.

Starbucks customers fuming over cost of new Birthday Frappuccino

The new Starbucks Birthday Frappuccino, which has created to celebrate 30 years since the first Frappuccino, features vanilla and hazelnut flavour syrup combined with milk and creme Frappuccino and is topped with whipped cream and colourful birthday cake sprinkles Everyone likes to treat themselves to something now and again, and a fancy coffee is a little way to do that on a weekend or if you're having a bad day and need to cheer yourself up. However, many Starbucks customers have been left fuming at the cost of the chain's new Birthday Frappuccino, with some people even saying it "isn't worth the price". Others have also claimed that the drink costs a different amount at each store, leading to confusion. The beverage, which has created to celebrate 30 years since the first Frappuccino, features vanilla and hazelnut flavour syrup combined with milk and creme Frappuccino and is topped with whipped cream and colourful birthday cake sprinkles. ‌ It was recently shared over on popular food and drink account NewFoodsUK on its Facebook page as they managed to get their hands on one. ‌ They shared a picture of the colourful-looking drink, writing: "Brand new Birthday Frappuccino from Starbucks UK! I wanted to try it and it was nice but not worth that price, free cup is cool mind." Another added: "£7.35! Taking the p*ss." Others also weren't that impressed by the free cup offers, as one person exclaimed: "A free cup! And there was me wanting to drink it off the floor!" While another added: "Not really a 'free' cup with a £7 drink in it." ‌ Others disagreed on the price, as one person said: "Wow, mine was £6.80... why so many different prices?" Another added: "Not worth £6, the drink was horrible I only wanted the cup lol." A third added: "£8.95 in my Starbucks." Despite some negativity, others raced to their local branch to try it as one person said: "I know where I'm going on my lunch break ." While another person who'd tried one said it was "so good". Another Starbucks fan shared a hack about how to get it free, as they said: "I got mine today and used my points for the drink so was completely free, thank you."

Daisy Edgar-Jones subtly reveals her boyfriend Ben Seed is her phone lock screen as the couple look smitten at star-studded BST Hyde Park

Daisy Edgar-Jones has proven that things are getting serious with her boyfriend Ben Seed as she revealed that she is her phone lock screen. The Normal People actress, 27, was seen at BST Hyde Park on Friday with the photographer, and they looked cosy while chatting with their friends. She has been dating the photographer since September 2023, with their relationship going from strength-to-strength, though they are generally private about their bond. And Daisy has now taken a sweet step with Ben as a flash of her phone during her festival outing revealed that she has set him as her phone lock screen. In a heartwarming gesture, her background was a loved-up snap of her and Ben as she could be seen cuddling up to him. For her Hyde Park outing, Daisy looked stunning in a frilly white lace top and matching skirt, which she paired with a brown handbag and sunglasses. Meanwhile Ben cut a smart figure in a smart striped polo shirt with sunglasses as they enjoyed some drinks in the show. It is not the couple's first outing together in recent days as they spent last weekend at Glastonbury with Daisy's Normal People co-star Paul Mescal and his girlfriend Gracie Abrams. They all lived it up at Glastonbury with Harris Dickinson and India Mullen, as well as Paul's siblings Nell and Donnacha. The couple are relatively private and generally keep their romance under wraps, rarely speaking about one another in interviews. However, Ben is no stranger to a high-profile relationship, having previously dated The Queen's Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy. He split up with Anya ahead of her beating Daisy to the best actress at the Golden Globes in 2021. Meanwhile, Daisy split from her ex-boyfriend Tom Varey in late 2020 after two years of dating. Daisy is said to be on 'cloud nine' with Ben, who also goes by the artist name Pip. A source previously told The Sun: 'Daisy and Pip got together earlier this year and have become inseparable. 'They have both had some free time this summer and love hanging out in Broadway Market in East London, just going to bars and spending time together. 'There's a real spark there and they are excited about finding each other. They've already met one another's friends and she is on cloud nine.' While Daisy is now enjoying a romance with Ben, Anya has moved on and is loved-up with her husband Malcolm McRae. They secretly tied the knot in New Orleans nearly three years ago before going on to have a second wedding in Venice in October 2023. Elsewhere, Daisy revealed what it is really like working with Hollywood's 'internet boyfriends', referring to her co-stars including Paul Mescal and Glen Powell. Speaking to Elle, Daisy explained: 'I have worked with basically all of the internet's boyfriends, and I'm lucky that every actor I've worked with has been incredibly supportive of me being the lead. Glen, Sebastian, Paul, all of them. 'I think that's why they're so successful and so loved and so good: that they are so generous, and they really serve the story and are not serving themselves. 'Glen was always like, "What's Kate's journey in this? Let's find it." And same with Sebastian; he was so completely invested in Noa's journey. 'Paul's like playing tennis with your best friend. I'm nervous for the point that it comes to working with someone who might not be so chill with it! 'Because there's so much ego that can exist in this industry.'

Bob Vylan's vile anti-British rants - cheered on by the smug, middle-class Glastonbury wokerati - have brought the true ideology of the far Left into the open: CHARLIE DOWNES

By now, you will certainly have heard of Pascal Robinson-Foster, although you might know him better by his stage name, Bobby Vylan. A punk singer and political extremist who despises Britain, Robinson-Foster made headlines around the world last weekend when he called for 'death to the IDF' (Israeli Defence Forces) while performing at Glastonbury.
