Harry denies he left Prince Andrew with a 'bloody nose' in family gathering spat

Metroa day ago
Prince Harry has denied exchanging punches with Prince Andrew in a spat between the two royals.
A new book claimed the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of York became embroiled in an argument during a family gathering in 2013.
The confrontation was said to have been triggered by something said by Andrew 'behind Harry's back'.
Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York by Andrew Lownie claims Harry left his uncle with 'a bloody nose' in the dispute.
The new book also separately alleges the Duke of York predicted that Harry's marriage to Meghan Markle would 'not last more than a month'.
However a spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex denied the pair had ever had a physical altercation or that Andrew had made such comments about the Duchess of Sussex.
Andrew stepped back as a full time royal after his car crash interview on Newsnight in 2019 in which he was quizzed about his relationship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
His reputation was further battered by claims from Virginia Giuffre that she had been forced to have sex with the duke as a teenager – claims Andrew denies.
Lownie's book claims there have been frictions between Andrew and Harry for years, with the latter even allegedly telling his brother, the Prince of Wales, he 'hated' the Duke of York.
Andrew, who attacked Harry for failing to carry out 'due diligence' on his wife before their wedding in 2018,is also said to have made rude remarks about the Princess of Wales.
The frosty relations between royals come as Andrew faces an uncertain future at the Royal Lodge at Windsor Great Park since his estimated £1million allowance was stopped by the King.
In his biography of Andrew, Lownie suggests William has 'long worked behind the scenes' to remove the Duke of York from the estate, where he believes he has abused 'his privilege', the Telegraph reported.
The book claims to shine a light on Andrew's behaviour towards longstanding royal servants.
He is said to have branded David Anderson, the former manager of Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland, a 'f***ing imbecile' for not referring to his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, by her full title. More Trending
Anderson was informing Andrew that a severe storm had wrecked damaged on the royal residence, including to a tree planted by the Queen Mother.
After Anderson said he had worked for the royal household since 1984, Andrew allegedly said patronisingly: 'And you still don't know the proper way to refer to my grandmother? You f***ing imbecile. Get out.'
Colin Burgess, a former esquerry to Queen Elizabeth II, said that Andrew, in contrast to other senior royals, spoke to staff 'as an officer talks to his subordinates'.

The 37-year-old TV personality reportedly secretly fathered a child following a short-term relationship with model Selina Christoforou and was said to be expecting another baby with wellness influencer Taia Tulher, his current partner. After days of fierce speculation, Gilligan finally broke his silence on social media by sharing a video on his Instagram story of him playing with a toddler with a heart emoji over the child's face. The short black-and-white video was paired with the song Emotionless by Drake, specifically the lyrics: 'I wasn't hidin' my kid from the world / I was hidin' the world from my kid, 'From empty souls, who just wake up and look to debate / Until you starin' at your seed, you can never relate, 'Breakin' news in my life, I don't run to the blogs / The only ones I wanna tell are the ones I can call, 'They always ask, why let the story run if it's false? /You know, a wise man once said nothin' at all.' More Trending There is no further explanation or comment on the post from Gilligan providing details on exactly who the child is. It comes after The Sun reported that the Masked Singer judge had a brief romance with Christoforou in 2023, after the pair connected via social media. Their son, named Rudi, was born in January 2024. Insiders suggested that he sees the child 'semi-regularly'. Got a story? Author of controversial Prince Andrew book speaks out after Prince Harry 'calls in lawyers'

The bombshell new book about the Duke of York contains a number of shocking claims about senior members of the Royal Family. The author of a bombshell book about Prince Andrew, that made Prince Harry reportedly "call in his lawyers" over claims the duke punched his uncle during a "family gathering" in 2013, has broken his silence. Andrew Lownie's new bombshell book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, alleges that Harry left the King's brother "with a bloody nose" before their fight was broken up. ‌ Lownies claimed that a physical altercation is said to have erupted between the two royals after Harry discovered "something Andrew said", noting that their relationship has remained strained for over a decade following the purported incident. After the story was published by the Daily Mail, Meghan and Harry's lawyers released a statement which denied the claim. ‌ It read: "I can confirm Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make the comments he is alleged to have made about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry." Despite the claims in his book being rubbished by the Sussexes' lawyers, the author has taken to social media to share his response to the backlash. ‌ Taking to social media after serialisation of his book commenced in the Daily Mail, author Andrew shared a link to a Newsweek article claiming that the Duke of Sussex had contacted his lawyers, the Express reports. If you cannot see the X post above you can view it here. ‌ He wrote: " Prince Harry calls in lawyers over Prince Andrew and Meghan story. I look forward to doing battle and the disclosures which will emerge." In addition to sending the statement to the Mail, Harry and Meghan's team also informed NewsWeek: "Such are the gross inaccuracies, damaging and defamatory remarks made in the Daily Mail's story, I can confirm a legal letter from Prince Harry's counsel has been sent to the Mail." In the book, Mr Lownie wrote: "According to a source close to both men, Harry told him he was a coward not to say it to his face. ‌ "Harry got the better of Andrew by all accounts, leaving him with a bloody nose before the fight was broken up." He continued: "He openly accused Meghan of being an opportunist and thought she was too old for Harry, adding that his nephew was making the biggest mistake ever. The source said: 'Harry later told William he hated Andrew.'" ‌ The book also alleged that the disgraced Duke of York later told his nephew that his marriage to Meghan Markle wouldn't last longer than a month. He is also said to have accused him of going "bonkers" before calling him out for not doing any due diligence into her past. In addition to this, the book claims that Prince William has been working behind the scenes to back the Duke of York's removal from the Royal Lodge where Andrew currently resides with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. ‌ Snaps from earlier this year revealed the property looking visibly deteriorated, with black mould, dampness, and cracked paintwork evident around the exterior, as well as the outbuildings and the gatehouse. Kelly Osbourne says she won't 'be ok for a while' following Ozzy's death

Kelly Osbourne has spoken out for the first time since her father Ozzy Osbourne's death in an emotional message. The legendary heavy metal rocker died aged 76 on July 22, and was buried by the lake in the grounds of his Buckinghamshire mansion following a private church service last week. This followed a huge public outpouring of love and mourning from the crowd of thousands that gathered in Ozzy's home city of Birmingham for an emotional funeral procession through its streets the previous day, just weeks after his final ever show there, at Villa Park. Taking to social media, Kelly thanked fans for their support during this difficult time and reflected on her own grief. 'I've sat down to write this a hundred times and still don't know if the words will ever feel like enough…but from the bottom of my heart thank you. 'The love, support, and beautiful messages I've received from so many of you have truly helped carry me through the hardest moment of my life. 'Every kind word, every shared memory, every bit of compassion has meant more than I can ever explain,' she penned in an emotional post on her Instagram story. She added that she wouldn't be ok for some time, but felt supported by the knowledge that so many people are grieving with her. 'Grief is a strange thing – it sneaks up on you in waves- I will not be ok for a while – but knowing my family are not alone in our pain makes a difference. 'I am holding tight to the love, the light, and the legacy left behind. 'Thank you for being there. I love you all so much – Kelly. #BirminghamForever #Ozzy Forever.' The song playing in the background of the post was her father's hit tune See You on the Other Side. Last week, Kelly returned to Instagram late on Friday in one of her first social posts since her beloved dad's funeral. More Trending She shared a single image to her stories with no additional comment, but the picture spoke for itself. Reality show star Kelly, 40, had photographed a picture of a purple funeral wreath for Ozzy, by the lake, which simply – and appropriately – read: 'Ozzy F***ing Osbourne'. At the Back to the Beginning last gig, just weeks before the rocker's death, Kelly's fiancé Sid Wilson proposed. Got a story?
