Travis Kelce revealed details about his movie nights with girlfriend Taylor Swift on a new episode of his New Heights podcast.
Newsweek reached out to Kelce's representative via email for comment on Wednesday.
The Context
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, and pop star, 35, have been linked for nearly two years beginning in July 2023. Kelce was spotted at Swift's Eras Tour stop in Kansas City, Missouri at the time, and she was seen in the crowd at his NFL games. They confirmed they were a couple in October that same year at a Saturday Night Live after-party.
What To Know
On Wednesday's episode of New Heights, which Kelce co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, the siblings briefly chatted about Swift during their "Film Club" segment.
Once a month, the duo watches and reviews classic movies, often from their childhood. They ask listeners for film suggestions and share their views about whether they stand the test of time.
"We need to pick a genre," Travis Kelce said. "Do we want to do summer blockbusters? Maybe one of our favorites—Adam Sandler films in honor of Happy Gilmore coming out in July? We could do summer scaries if you guys want to do some scary movies, get into some horror films—movies that give you f****** nightmares."
Travis Kelce makes a cameo in Happy Gilmore 2, which is set to be released on Netflix on July 25.

"Scary movies are fun to revisit because they're just absurd," Jason Kelce said. "They don't make any sense. Half of them are not even relevant anymore because of technology, like they'd be so easily solved in today's age by phones and whatnot."
The brothers floated films like 10 Things I Hate About You, American Pie and She's All That. When Pretty Woman was suggested, Travis Kelce made a quick sidenote.
"Could do Brink! We mentioned Pretty Woman—that's been on me and Tay's movie list for a while," the Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? host said, referring to the nickname he gave Swift. "I'm down to watch that."
After news of their romance went public, Kelce has spoken out numerous times about Swift on New Heights.
During an April 2024 episode of the show, the football star credited his girlfriend with bringing new fans to the sport.
"It's fun, man," he told guest Lil Dicky. "I'm having a blast in life, baby, just flying high and enjoying it all... bringing new lives to the football world and opening the football world up to new things."
What People Are Saying
In the comments underneath the podcast on Spotify, fans were quick to make "Film Club" suggestions.
Spotify user LG wrote: "I've been rewatching some 90s movies like I Know What You Did Last Summer, Cruel Intentions, those types. I actually still enjoy them lol! Also, how about some M. Night Shyamalan movies! Local Philly guy. Some of them are silly, but The Village and Signs are two that are really good."
Svaughn said: "Gremlins, Breakfast Club, Goonies, Shanghai Noon [are] the bomb!"
Judy Kerka Salmon added: "Here is a girly Disney 90s one for you with a little sports, High School Musical. Curious to find out if it is a rewatch or first watch."
Megan chimed in: "3 Ninjas, Steel Magnolias, Tommy Boy."
What Happens Next
New episodes of New Heights are released on Wednesdays on platforms like Wondery, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube.
The Chiefs' preseason begins on August 9.

Drake's Abs Are Getting Flamed On Social Media, X Says BBL Drizzy Can Never Beat The 'Ab Etching'Allegations

Source: Getty Images / Drake Drake tried to get the ladies hot and bothered on social media with a thirst trap, but instead, social media is reminding him he's not beating the plastic surgery allegations. BBL Drizzy, oops, we mean Drake, has owned the weekend thanks to news of his forthcoming album Iceman, which his biggest fan, Mal, of the Rory and Mal podcast, will have a 'bomb' on it. The Canadian Hip-Hop star is also getting clowned for his thirst trap showcasing his abs, which many believe is the product of 'ab etching,' which is described as 'a liposuction procedure that claims to sculpt and enhance the appearance of your waistline and create six-pack abs,' per Healthline . In the caption for the Instagram post, which features several other photos, the rapper wrote, 'I'm wide awake for the nights that separate the type who get to it til they get it right from the type who just …type.' Rigghhhhttt. Well, the post seems to be backfiring spectacularly, with many folks pointing out that the rest of Drake's figure doesn't match the abs. 'Drake fake abs look like the precut cookie dough squares omg,' one person on X, formerly Twitter, wrote. Another user on X wrote, ' Access to the best trainers and healthiest food in the world, but chose to go to a plastic surgeon for fake abs . What a bitch @Drake.' Lol, damn. Well, as long as he is fine with the alleged 'ab etching,' that's all that matters, right? You can see more reactions in the gallery below. New baby shower trend avoids ‘I hate people watching me open gifts' awkwardness

In news that might make you want to do a little happy dance, expectant moms are changing up their approaches to gifts at baby showers. 'Display Showers' are growing in popularity; where hosts encourage guests to bring their presents unwrapped, with simply a tag identifying who it's from. The gifts are then 'displayed' in an arrangement where people can still see and talk about the products, but aren't held hostage to an hour of unwrapping, and pretend oohing over every item. What is a 'Display Shower'? Babylist, a registry site for parents-to-be, recently surveyed users to understand what's driving the trend. According to their research, skipping the public present opening takes the pressure off the mom-to-be, and gives guests more time to enjoy each other's company. 'I am pretty introverted and feel awkward opening so many gifts in front of everyone, but I know some people really love seeing all the baby stuff, so I thought this was a perfect way to please everyone,' a pregnant woman told the site. Additionally, many parents shared they valued decreasing waste, and the costs associated with wrapping. 3 The gifts are then 'displayed' in an arrangement where people can still see and talk about the products. pressmaster – Respondents' main tip when it came to hosting a Display Shower? Some did suggest that the name – Display Shower – could come across strangely, so opted for something different like 'no-wrap shower.'

LeBron James' wife pushing him to ‘f–king retire' next year after he re-ups with Lakers

Savannah James is urging LeBron to retire. The Lakers superstar exercised his $52.6 million option for 2025-26, bypassing free agency to return to Los Angeles for his 23rd NBA season. The 2003 No.1 overall pick revealed this during a dinner outing in New York with his wife, Savannah, Miami Heat and former Cleveland Cavaliers big man Kevin Love and his wife, Kate, among others. One of the dinners guests posted a snippet on Instagram of the conversation where James can be heard saying, 'Savannah wants me to f–king retire in the next year or so.' His agent, Rich Paul, told ESPN that while LeBron 'appreciates the partnership' with the Lakers, he 'values a realistic chance of winning it all' and will be closely monitoring the team's offseason moves. Variety via Getty Images At 40 years old, turning 41 this coming December, James continues to perform at a star level, especially on offense. James ended year 22 averaging 24.4 points, 8.2 assists, and 7.8 rebounds. Despite his on-court production, the Lakers were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves, who later reached the Western Conference finals before losing to the eventual champion Oklahoma City Thunder. Getty Images Paul offered further insight into the possibility of retirement, which will continue to hang over James every season now that he's in his 40s. 'We want to evaluate what's best for LeBron at this stage in his life and career,' Paul told ESPN. 'He wants to make every season he has left count, and the Lakers understand that, are supportive and want what's best for him.' The Lakers, who made the major deal with the Mavericks for Luka Dončić this past season, are still attempting to compete in the West, but it's unclear if they'll be championship-level good for this coming year.
