OCP Nutricrops Surpasses 5 Million Tonnes of TSP Fertilizer
In a press release today, OCP Nutricrops said it achieved this result thanks to its strategic TSP Hub program, which operates from the Jorf Lasfar industrial platform. The Manufacturing SBU leads the program in collaboration with OCP Nutricrops, OFAS, and JESA. The hub relies on the use of unconventional water resources as part of OCP Group's sustainability strategy.
TSP is a key concentrated phosphate fertilizer that contains over 90% of phosphorus in a plant-available form. This makes it suitable for nutrient-deficient soils and smart fertilization strategies, the statement added.
OCP Nutricrops stressed the importance of the program and its ability to address challenges of demanding and customized agriculture by delivering fertilizer production tailored to the diverse and growing needs of the market.
It uses a 'flexible industrial process that allows precise integration of nutrients and additives.'
The plator works to meet the specific needs of farmers according to their soils and crops, providing industrial agility and speed in developing new and customized formulations.
The hub has two production lines, each with an annual capacity of 500,000 tonnes.
OCP Nutricrops also announced an ambitious program to adapt nitrogen fertilizer that is underway. The new initiative seeks to integrate new equipment and modify existing facilities to enable them to produce TSP.
Youssef El Bari, CEO of OCP Nutricrops, said the TSP Hub represents a 'major step in our phosphate fertilizer production strategy,' as it strengthens the group's ability to deliver high agnostic value fertilizers that meet the specific needs of soil and farmers across the world.
He further continued that TSP Hub also enhances the group's 'industrial precision, performance, and capacity.'
Ahmed Mahrou, Managing Director of the Manufacturing SBU, also spoke of the importance of the TSP Hub, explaining that it reflects the industrial transformation led by the Manufacturing SBU to address the challenges of fertilizer customization amid increasing agronomic diversification.
'It marks the emergence of an ambidextrous, agile, and customer-focused industrial model, where the production tool becomes a strategic lever,' Mahrou stated.
He pointed out the Manufacturing SBU's commitment towards delivering an increasing number of customized products to highly differentiated needs.

OCP Nutricrops to Supply 1.1 Million Tons of Fertilizers to Bangladesh
Rabat – Morocco's fertilizer giant OCP Nutricrops will supply 1.1 million tons of fertilizers to Bangladesh between 2025 and 2026. OCP Nutricrops, a subsidiary of OCP group, signed a commercial agreement with Bangladesh Agricultural Development Cooperation (BADC), with the contract covering plans to supply 1.1 million tons of non-urea fertilizers to the Asian country. Converging reports said the signing took place during an official visit by a Bangladeshi delegation to Morocco. The visit aims to finalize the commercial agreement and to explore new avenues of cooperation in agronomic research, agricultural training, and technology transfer. 'By providing tailored fertilizers and promoting their responsible use, this partnership reflects a shared vision to strengthen the foundations of a self-sufficient agricultural future for Bangladesh, grounded in science, innovation, and sustainable collaboration,' the joint statement between the signatories said. CEO of OCP Nutricrops, Youssef El Bari, also commented on the partnership, noting that the agreement is part of the company's commitment to sustainable agriculture. 'This agreement reinforces a long-term strategic relationship and paves the way for new collaborations in research, training, and innovation,' Bari said. BADC's Chairman Ruhul Amin Khan also celebrated the agreement, noting that Bangladesh is deeply grateful to OCP and Morocco for their continued support for the country's agricultural productivity. 'We are very optimistic about strengthening our cooperation in various sectors of Bangladeshi agriculture through innovation, logistical support, technology transfer, training, and more,' Khan said. OCP Group Sells $1.75 Billion in Dual-Tranche Eurobond
Rabat – Moroccan phosphate giant OCP announced on Friday, April 25, that it had raised $1.75 billion through a dual-tranche Eurobond issuance to support its expansion plan. The state-owned group sold $750 million in bonds it will repay in five years and $1 billion in bonds due in about 11 years. Demand was four times what was on offer, showing strong investor confidence in OCP's outlook. The funds will be used to expand production, modernize facilities, and support sustainability projects around the world. Earlier on April 24, at the International Agriculture Exhibition in Morocco (SIAM), OCP laid out a four-pillar strategy—soil health, sustainable water management, carbon sequestration and inclusion of rural communities—designed to bolster agricultural resilience in Morocco and across Africa. Under soil health, its Nutricrops unit champions the '4R' fertilization approach — Right Source, Right Rate, Right Time, Right Place — combining detailed land mapping and advanced soil analyses with personalized, low-carbon fertilizers such as calcium-enriched Triple Super Phosphate, all managed through a digital agronomy platform. In water management, OCP's Green Water initiative has eliminated the use of freshwater in its industrial operations since 2024 by relying entirely on non-conventional sources like desalinated and recycled water. These sources are delivered via a 219 km pipeline between Jorf and Khouribga capable of transporting up to 80 million m³ per year, and through pilot irrigation zones in arid regions developed with UM6P, INNOVX, Aradinov and AgriEdge.
