'I kept my helmet on the whole time so no one could see my face. I was so embarrassed. I knew it was my last time on a football field.' He ended the game with only 3 rushing completions on 10 passes and 2 interceptions.
Although he had played with the Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, and Las Vegas Raiders, this game with the Buffalo Bills would be the end of his NFL career.
Matt Leinart reflects on his career and what happened after
Matt Leinart was taken by the Arizona Cardinals as the 10th overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft.

Today, he is a college football analyst for FOX Sports. Although the NFL didn't end the way that he would've liked, fans will always cherish his quaint college experience at USC.

Karun Nair and KL Rahul (Image credit: X) Karun Nair made his long-awaited return to Test cricket after eight years, hoping for a fresh start—big runs, solid partnerships, and a statement comeback. But the reality turned out differently. After underwhelming performances in the first three Tests, Nair was dropped from India's playing XI for the fourth Test at Old Trafford. He managed just 131 runs across six innings, prompting the team management to bring in B Sai Sudharsan in his place. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! A photo that has gone viral on social media shows an emotional Karun Nair in tears, with star cricketer and childhood friend KL Rahul seen consoling him—capturing the raw emotion of a tough moment in the cricketer's journey. Nair's return began on a disappointing note. In the opening Test at Headingley, he was dismissed for a duck in the first innings and made just 20 in the second. He was retained for the second Test, where he scored 31 and 26. In the third Test, he showed glimpses of form with a 40-run knock in the first innings, but could only manage 14 in the second. Shardul Thakur opens up on being under bowled, gives inside details on Rishabh Pant With his place under scrutiny, India captain Shubman Gill made the call to leave him out for the fourth Test. Three changes were made to the playing XI. Anshul Kamboj was handed a Test debut, while Sai Sudharsan and Shardul Thakur were also included. Sudharsan replaced Karun, and Shardul came in for Nitish Kumar Reddy, who was ruled out due to a left knee injury. Former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif criticised Gill for not backing Nair at a crucial juncture. 'Today was Shubman Gill's chance to back Karun who was down but deserved one more chance. He should have picked Karun Nair. Chance missed to earn the respect when it comes to making tough decisions as a leader,' Kaif posted on X. England currently lead the five-match series 2-1, following their dramatic 22-run victory in the third Test at Lord's. Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4. Watch Here!

'India bit hard done by the weather gods': Sanjay Manjrekar on Old Trafford's changing conditions
India's captain Shubman Gill (2nd R), Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah and KL Rahul on day two of the fourth Test. (PTI Photo) NEW DELHI: Former India batter Sanjay Manjrekar has voiced frustration over the timing of a dramatic shift in weather and pitch conditions that appeared to tilt Day 2 of the fourth Test at Old Trafford in England's favour, saying 'India were bit hard done by the weather gods. ' Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! After posting a fighting 358, with a courageous 54 from Rishabh Pant, India saw their bowlers struggle under clearer skies and an easing surface, as Ben Duckett (94) and Zak Crawley (84) stitched a 166-run opening stand for the hosts. England finished 225/2, with Joe Root and Ollie Pope looking settled at stumps. How and why Rishabh Pant's England tour could come to an abrupt end due to toe fracture Speaking on JioCinema, Manjrekar highlighted how different the pitch looked compared to Day 1. 'During India's batting, there were dark grey clouds, some moisture — it looked like a black-and-white movie at one point. But today, the pitch really eased up and the skies cleared,' he noted. Poll Do you think the weather conditions played a significant role in the outcome of Day 2? Yes, absolutely No, it was mainly the players' performance 'Suddenly, it looked like a completely different Test match. Even someone like Jasprit Bumrah found it hard to bowl a wicket-taking delivery.' Manjrekar acknowledged the importance of dismissing both openers before stumps but hinted that England could now press on with a big total. He also assessed the debut of pacer Anshul Kamboj, who removed Duckett for his maiden Test wicket . 'I'm very happy for Kamboj — there are clear signs that he has potential. But he can't afford to bowl back of a length at under 130 kph. The pitch didn't help him either today.' Former England batter Jonathan Trott echoed the sentiment that England benefitted from better batting conditions, adding, 'In the UK, afternoons are generally better for batting. The toss mattered. England will look to capitalise, but India could still fight back if morning conditions favour their seamers again.' Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4. Watch Here!

IND vs ENG Test: 'How do you break a man who's defeated death?' – Aakash Chopra hails Rishabh Pant's grit at Old Trafford
Rishabh Pant (Pic credit: BCCI) Former India opener Aakash Chopra has delivered a stirring tribute to Rishabh Pant , praising the wicketkeeper-batter's unbreakable spirit after he batted through pain on Day 2 of the fourth Test at Old Trafford, with a fractured toe. Pant, who made a fighting 54 off 75 balls, walked out despite the injury and gave India valuable runs before they were bowled out for 358 in their first innings. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! England finished the day at 225/2, trailing by 133 runs. But the biggest talking point remained Pant's courage — something Chopra compared to legendary moments in Indian cricket history. How and why Rishabh Pant's England tour could come to an abrupt end due to toe fracture 'The first talking point is Rishabh Pant and his spirit. He reminded me of Anil bhai, who bowled with a broken jaw in Antigua and picked up a wicket,' Chopra said on his YouTube channel. 'It wasn't necessary, but he did it. Here, Rishabh wasn't able to walk or stand and was taken out in a cart. He said he would bat. How do you break a guy whose spirit is unbreakable?' Poll What do you think of Rishabh Pant's performance despite his injury? Inspiring and commendable Irresponsible for risking injury A true testament to sportsmanship Not worth the risk Chopra went on to highlight the significance of Pant's return, especially after surviving a life-threatening car crash in December 2022. 'If someone has defeated death, how will he accept defeat over such small things?' he added. Importantly, Chopra clarified that Pant's decision was voluntary. 'No one would've forced him. In such situations, sport isn't life — life is much bigger. The choice was his.' He lauded Pant for his patriotism and resolve: 'When a player is standing against all odds, he thinks he needs to do it for his country. Mad, mad respect. He won my heart — and not only mine. Everyone at Old Trafford stood and applauded him.' Chopra also expressed dismay at England's aggressive tactics. 'I wasn't surprised but slightly sad that England tried to hit his legs. Still, he played a few good shots despite that.' Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4. Watch Here!
