It puts out 585 bhp of max power and a peak torque output of 850 Nm. The Integrated Starter Generator produces additional 20 bhp and 200 Nm. The gearbox on duty continues to be a 9-speed unit that transfers the power to all four wheels. What are the changes to the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector's Edition?
This exclusive edition pays homage to the Indian monsoon, with two specially curated Manufaktur paint finishes. The first is Mid Green Magno, drawing visual cues from the vibrant greenery seen during the monsoon season, while the second, Red Magno, reflects the rich, iron-tinged soil found in various regions of India. Both colour options are unique to this edition and have been developed exclusively for the Indian market.
Adding to its exclusivity, the G 63 Collector's Edition sports a 'One of Thirty' badge on the spare wheel cover, signifying the limited nature of the production run—only 30 units will be made available. A distinctive gold-finished AMG-spec 22-inch alloy wheel setup and a custom-finished side protection strip that says 'Collector's Edition'. Customers can get a name engraved on the grab handle that is placed on the dashboard.
The cabin of the Collector's Edition is where the luxury truly shines. It features two-tone Manufaktur Catalana Beige and Black Nappa leather upholstery, combining aesthetic sophistication with superior comfort. Complementing the leather trim is a dashboard in open-pore walnut wood, offering a touch of classic elegance.
However, the most defining feature of this special edition lies in the personalisation it offers to owners. Buyers have the option to have their names engraved on the dashboard's passenger grab handle, making every unit a one-of-a-kind collector's piece.

KTM 390 Adventure X Updated With Cruise Control And Riding Modes In India
KTM has introduced the updated version of the KTM 390 Adventure X with advanced features to further bolster the sale of the model launched in India in February. Kraftfahrzeuge Trunkenpolz Mattighofen, popularly known as KTM, has launched an updated version of the 390 Adventure X, packed with advanced features aimed at enhancing the riding experience. The latest iteration now comes equipped with cruise control, cornering traction control, and cornering ABS, along with three riding modes – Street, Rain, and Off-road. Although the bike's overall design remains the same as the model introduced in India in February 2025, the major upgrades lie in its functionality. The refreshed 390 Adventure X now features new switchgear, including a dedicated button for cruise control and a toggle switch to adjust the cruising speed. Under the hood, the motorcycle continues to sport the 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, delivering 45 BHP and 39 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, ensuring the same performance KTM fans have come to expect. Equipped with a telescopic fork in the front and a mono-shock in the rear, the updated 390 Adventure X rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tyres and has disc brakes at both ends in its braking system. The KTM 390 Adventure X update will maintain the on-road characteristics of the previous model while handling off-road conditions better. The addition of different riding modes offers bike riders an enhanced experience, providing various throttle maps depending on the rider's needs. The riders can expect better control in different conditions and on different types of terrains. KTM is also offering a switchgear from the standard model to switch between modes. Bike riders will get the cruise control button and can also use the toggle switch for speed control. Indian bike riders, who have been enjoying the KTM 390 Adventure X since the start of the year, can expect a pocket-friendly switch to the enhanced version of the model that is available at a starting price of Rs 3.03 lakh (ex-showroom), only Rs 12,000 higher than the previous version. When launched in February, the bike came with an initial price of Rs 2.91 lakhs (ex-showroom). Through the upgraded model, KTM India is hoping to solidify its presence in the Indian auto market scene and rival some of the other leading manufacturing brands available in the country. view comments First Published: July 10, 2025, 11:39 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Air India plane crash report: How 'Golden Chassis' helped AAIB get raw data from black box
A Golden Chassis is a specialised tool used to recover data from damaged flight recorders. It consists of an identical, undamaged unit of the same model as the affected recorder and is used to interface with its internal memory read more The tail of an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner plane that crashed is seen stuck on a building after the incident in Ahmedabad, India, on June 12. In the aftermath of the crash, Air India continues to cancel several flights. Reuters A highly specialised tool from the United States known as a Golden Chassis helped Indian investigators retrieve critical data from one of the black boxes of Air India's Boeing 787-8 aircraft that crashed last month, killing 261 people. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) said Saturday (July 11) that the tool enabled the recovery of approximately 49 hours of flight data and two hours of cockpit audio, including information from the crash itself. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD The aircraft, bound for London, came down seconds after take-off from Ahmedabad on June 12. Investigators retrieved the two Enhanced Airborne Flight Recorders (EAFRs) and transported them to New Delhi on June 24. The forward black box, or EAFR, remained sufficiently intact for a download attempt at the AAIB lab. The aft recorder, however, was too badly damaged to yield data by conventional methods. How the Golden Chassis works A Golden Chassis is a specialised tool used to recover data from damaged flight recorders. It consists of an identical, undamaged unit of the same model as the affected recorder and is used to interface with its internal memory, known as the Crash Protection Module (CPM). When a recorder is too damaged to power up or connect directly, investigators remove the intact CPM and mount it onto the Golden Chassis. This allows for safe extraction of flight and cockpit voice data. In this case, the required chassis and cables were sourced from the US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). Once the forward CPM was mounted onto the Golden Chassis, flight and audio data from six flights, including the doomed one, were successfully downloaded. 'The recovered audio was two hours in length and captured the event. Initial analysis of the recorded audio and flight data has been done,' the AAIB said in its preliminary report. Ongoing investigation The aft EAFR was found to be too extensively damaged to yield any data using standard procedures. The CPM from the aft unit was removed, but the memory card was also found to be severely compromised. The AAIB has appointed Sanjay Kumar Singh as Investigator-in-Charge, with Jasbir Singh Larhga named Chief Investigator. Additional investigators include Vipin Venu Varakoth, Veeraragavan K and Vaishnav Vijayakumar. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD A team of subject matter experts, including experienced pilots, engineers, aviation medicine specialists, aviation psychologists, and flight recorder specialists, has also been assembled to assist with the inquiry.
