WWE's strong Charlotte Flair-Alexa Bliss build for Evolution took one bizarre twist
When the whole story is about Flair's reluctance to team with Bliss, the hug is a much bigger moment that needs to be built further toward. Maybe WWE is going to play with the length and sincerity of the hugs moving forward, but it felt premature to even bring that into the equation after their first match as a team on Raw.
As creative as the finish was, it was a little odd seeing someone as locked in as Flair should be getting carried away and completely not knowing her pat on the head of Bliss tagged her partner into the match
There should have been a little bit of disgust from the Queen that she made such an error and by doing so showed Bliss she needed her.

WWE 'Raw' Superstar Will Miss Time Indefinitely
WWE 'Raw' Superstar Will Miss Time Indefinitely originally appeared on Athlon Sports. One WWE superstar who performs on the "Monday Night Raw" brand will be out of action for a while. During Monday's episode of "Raw," Sami Zayn was scheduled for a singles match against Bron Breakker. While Zayn was making his entrance, Karrion Kross ambushed him for the second straight week. Advertisement Kross capped off the attack by targeting Zayn's ribs with a pipe. Zayn insisted on facing Breakker despite the injury. Breakker ended up delivering three spears en route to a pinfall win. Later on in the show, Paul Heyman informed Breakker, Seth Rollins, and Bronson Reed that Zayn is out indefinitely. As of late, Zayn has been involved in a storyline where he has vowed to capture a world title one day. Kross has insisted that Zayn will never win the gold unless he starts thinking about himself instead of others. Kross' goal has been to beat Zayn to the point where he exposes his true side. Whether or not WWE has any plans to turn Zayn heel once he's ready to return to TV remains to be seen. If he remains a babyface, then he'll likely settle things with Kross in the future. Advertisement There has been no word of a legitimate injury for Zayn, and he was able to bump for Breakker in and out of the ring. The belief among fans is that the angle was done to make Heyman's faction and Kross look like credible threats to the locker room. On the same show where Zayn was injured, Bronson Reed delivered two Tsunamis to Jey Uso before officials stopped further injury. Longtime WWE On-Air Personality Exits Company After 15-Year Run
Longtime WWE On-Air Personality Exits Company After 15-Year Run originally appeared on Athlon Sports. A mainstay on-air talent for WWE has departed from the company. WWE has seen its share of commentators, announcers, and hosts come and go. There are some that have longer staying power than others, such as Michael Cole, a future Hall of Famer. While Scott Stanford didn't have the name recognition of Cole, he secured his spot as a WWE on-air personality for 15 years. Advertisement Stanford announced on his X account that he has wrapped up his time with WWE. He posted a video of several WWE staffers giving him a sendoff during his final day with the company. Stanford is hopeful that he will be back with the promotion one day. Stanford made his WWE debut in 2009. He served as the host for "Bottom Line," replacing Jack Korpela. Stanford was promoted to a play-by-play commentator role on "Superstars." Once WWE introduced pre-shows for "Monday Night Raw" and "SmackDown," Stanford transitioned back to being a host. Stanford contributed to WWE programming both online and on TV, hosting "This Week in WWE" and "Afterburn," which he had been a part of since 2013. Advertisement WWE reportedly tried out several on-air hopefuls, such as former TNA Wrestling interviewer and host Sam Leterna. While WWE was reportedly impressed with Leterna, there's no word on whether or not she'll be brought in to fill the void left by Stanford. Outside of WWE, Stanford is a longtime sports anchor in New York City. He worked at WNYW-TV, WNBC-TV, and PIX11. He served as a post-game reporter for New York Yankees and New York Giants games.
