Boxing icon Butterbean sends fight offer to Jake Paul after shedding over 200lbs

Butterbean has sent a direct message to Jake Paul, telling the YouTube star that he is "coming for him" following his unanimous decision victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr
Butterbean has threatened to come out of retirement as he issued a bold challenge to Jake Paul, following his body transformation. The ex-boxer, whose real name is Eric Esch, hasn't fought since his 2013 defeat to Kirk Lawton.
However, the 58-year-old insists he is ready to return, but for one fight only. In an Instagram video promoting Lucky Energy, the former heavyweight champion claims that Paul "runs his damn mouth too much" and mocks him for only being able to fight "retired bald men" - which is a likely dig at his controversial win over Mike Tyson.

The video showcases Butterbean's collaboration with the energy drink company and his 'Knockout Punch' flavour. In the skit, a Paul lookalike responds to the challenge before getting hit by a wheelchair, thrown by Butterbean's fake promoter, Mr Lucky.

This new callout comes after Problem Child's recent improvement to a 12-1 record, following a unanimous decision victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr on Saturday night.
Although Paul made several callouts post-fight, he did not respond to a match with Butterbean. Despite the likely comedic intent behind Butterbean's challenge as part of an advert, it isn't the first time the ex-boxer has tried to square off with Paul in the ring.
Before the highly anticipated bout between Tyson and Paul in November 2024, Butterbean revealed he was prepared to step into the ring with the 28-year-old if necessary.
In a TikTok video posted just before the fight, the former heavyweight champ said: "Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, I am going to be at the fight to challenge the winner of the fight, Yeah. Mike, if you fall out again, I'll be there to take your place."

Butterbean first expressed his desire to take on the Problem Child back in March 2022 when Paul had an undefeated record of 5-0, having beaten the likes of Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren, and Nate Robinson.
Discussing his impressive weight loss and return to training after retirement, Butterbean said: "I'm working with DDP (Diamond Dallas Page) to get up walking and running around again and I'm feeling the best shape I ever have.

"I'm at fight weight. You'll have to listen to my podcast coming up to find exactly how much weight I have lost, but I haven't weighed this in over 20 years so that'll give you an idea.
"The big announcement is I'm gonna fight one last fight. It's gonna be one year from now. Jake Paul, if you're ready, I'm here for you my friend. Let's get it on, me and you Jake Paul. I bet it would be an awesome fight. After you said what you said about me in the magazine, I'm ready to fight you. Are you ready? I don't think so."
There have been many more callouts since then, but the duo have not yet met to discuss the terms of what could be a sensational showdown in the sport.
However, Butterbean's recent jibe at the young fighter might just be the catalyst needed to bring them together in the ring for possibly the most unusual fight to date.

Ryan Seacrest, 50, sparks health concerns as fans fear over his 'frail' appearance

Ryan Seacrest sparked concern from fans after sharing his latest Instagram post. The 50-year-old host and producer — whose 'golden boy' image took a hit in May — took to Instagram Monday to upload a photo dump depicting what his life looks like 'lately.' Many of his 6.5 million followers immediately noticed Seacrest looking leaner than ever as he shared a full-body snapshot in a monochrome khaki outfit. He also posted close-up images of his face, with his grizzled beard thinly veiling his bony jawline. 'He looks frail to me. I hope he's doing ok!' one worried fan observed, collecting over 500 likes. 'He looks frail to me. I hope he's doing ok!' one worried fan observed, collecting over 500 likes The star also shared a glimpse at his weight-incorporated gym routine and one of his meals. It prompted one person to comment, 'Ryan, I respect you love for fitness and eating well... But you're looking pretty gaunt.' On a brighter note, it was added, 'But you look happy, which is fantastic!' 'Ryan, you're getting too skinny!' another said, adding a smiley face and red heart emoji. One social media user warned, 'Ryan, I adore you, but... the BIG but.... you are looking too thin. Sometimes being thin can age a person.' Another person compared him to another celebrity known for his thin stature, adding to the thread: 'Damn I thought this was Marc Anthony for a sec.' 'Wow Ryan is looking very thin,' someone else pointed out plainly. 'What is going on here?' a fan demanded to know, adding, 'Something looks off.' 'I just think it's rude to tell someone they are too skinny. I get told this a lot and I cannot help it with medication I am on. Be positive and encouraging, y'all,' a fan encouraged. Another angrily clapped back, 'IT IS NOT OK TO COMMENT ON SOMEONES BODY. Period. Just because he is a man/celebrity. THIS IS HIS PERSONAL ACCOUNT. 'He is a real human who has feelings and ages and CHANGES. Your concern for him is laced in judgment and is just plain rude. … Would you say these things to his face? Then don't say them here.' A source told Page Six of Ryan's slimmed down look, 'Ryan has recently been doing a new workout routine — working out with a new trainer, Dodd Romero, combined with Pilates and yoga for the first time. That's created a visible change.' The insider additionally noted, 'He's also been enjoying vacation time this summer and eating lots of pasta.'

Scottish Love Island star Laura Anderson opens up on 'hardest week of parenting'

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Scottish Love Island star Laura Anderson has opened up revealing she is struggling with her 22 month old daughter Bonnie. The radio star uploaded an honest and heartfelt update on social media saying this has been her "hardest week of parenthood so far", reports The Record. She admitted she's trying to find her feet as a mother to a nearly two year old in today's society, comparing her parenting skills to her parents in the 80s and 90s as she struggles with 'gentle parenting.' Laura took to Instagram sharing a series of snaps and videos of her week, including a trip to the beach with Bonnie and her mum and snaps of Bonnie enjoying a day at the circus with her boyfriend, footballer Clarke Robertson. The 36-year-old opened up in the caption, as she wrote: "These may be images of love, laughter and core memories being made recently but the truth behind the smiles is - I'm struggling." "This has been the hardest week of parenthood so far for me. Bonnie is coming up for 22 months and a lot has changed and keeps changing. I don't know who my daughter is some days, I don't recognise her which has led to my dip in confidence communicating and or disciplining my own child (especially in public)," she admitted. She added: "I'm scared of responding in the wrong way, I'm scared of making a mistake because what if it teaches her long lasting bad behaviours?! And let's be honest if you grew up in the 80s/90s like me, gentle parenting didn't exist. We got smacked (no offence to my parents) and now it's illegal." "So I guess you could say I'm trying to find my place as a mother somewhere in between." "We also talk about the 'juggle' but It's so much more than that. It's the responsibility of choosing a priority every second of the day because we simply can't do it all. I love my child but this is inevitably the hardest 'job' I've ever had (and I've had a lot of jobs)." The social media star concluded the post in a positive light, revealing: "My new mantra though, is- 'show me how good it can get' So without wishing my daughter's childhood away or those precious bonding turning point/learning curve moments. I hope 'this' ie tantrums…too shall pass." Laura shares daughter Bonnie with ex-boyfriend Gary Lucy, and has regularly spoke about the struggles of single parenting. Laura and Gary split before Bonnie was even born, with the star labelling him as a "deadbeat dad" after revealing he barely sees his young daughter. Fans were quick to take to the comments showing their support, and praising Laura for being so open. One fan simply stated: "We're all wingin' it," alongside a red heart emoji. Whilst another expressed: "I hear you and applaud you for sharing," and a third shared: "Love how genuine and honest you are Laura. Parenthood certainly ain't all plain sailing but you've got this beautiful mama, even if it feels like you don't sometimes, that's a normal part of parenthood but you do n you're such a great mammy to beautiful Bonnie."
