Yemen's Houthis reaffirm 'unwavering stance' on Gaza
Shafaq News/ On Tuesday, Yemen's Houthi-aligned Coalition of Anti-Aggression Political Parties reaffirmed the country's commitment to supporting Gaza amid what it described as 'continued Israeli and US assault.'
Speaking to Shafaq News, Adel Rajeh, a member of the coalition's executive committee, described Yemen's backing for Gaza as an 'unwavering stance' adopted by Yemen's leadership, represented by Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, and widely shared by both the armed forces and the broader population.
He also warned that the current path of military and logistical support would continue, with air and maritime restrictions remaining in effect. 'An escalation in military activity should be expected in the coming days as part of efforts to secure a full halt to the aggression on Gaza and the lifting of the imposed blockade.'
The announcement comes amid a series of cross-border attacks from Yemen in recent months, with Houthi forces operating in the context of the ongoing war in Gaza, where Israeli hostilities have resulted in 55,998 deaths, the majority of them women and children.

Iraq's highest judge steps down for medical reasons
Shafaq News – Baghdad Iraq's Supreme Judicial Council on Sunday confirmed the retirement of Jassim Mohammed Aboud al-Amiri, Chief of the Federal Supreme Court, the nation's highest judicial authority. In a statement, the council announced that a committee formed under the amended Federal Supreme Court Law No. 30 of 2005 approved al-Amiri's retirement due to health reasons. It nominated Munther Ibrahim Hussein, Deputy President of the Federal Court of Cassation, as his replacement, with the appointment now awaiting a presidential decree. Al-Amiri's departure follows the June 19 resignation of nine Supreme Court judges — six permanent members and three alternates — who stepped down just before the court was scheduled to rule on the Kurdistan Region salary dispute and the maritime border agreement with Kuwait. While early reports suggested Aboud had resigned with them, judicial officials later clarified he had instead retired for medical reasons. The nominated replacement, Hussein, born in Baghdad in 1963, earned a law degree from the University of Baghdad and graduated from the Judicial Institute in 1998. He has served on the Federal Court of Cassation since 2018, currently holding roles as deputy president, head of its criminal panel, and reserve member of the Supreme Court.

Hamas: ceasefire conditions report completely false
On Sunday, Hamas denounced recent media claims about its alleged conditions for a ceasefire in Gaza as a 'blatant fabrication' that misrepresents its official stance and serves Israeli interests. In a statement, the Palestinian group denied the details circulated by Sky News Arabia —which cited an unnamed Palestinian source—describing them as 'completely unfounded.' The report claimed Hamas demanded guarantees to protect its political leadership abroad, safeguard external assets, and secure a role in post-war Gaza. 'These lies contradict our clear, public positions,' Hamas said, asserting that its 'demands are never conveyed through anonymous leaks," and accusing the outlet of fueling incitement against the Palestinian resistance and attempting to distract from ongoing Israeli military operations. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump, who previously predicted an agreement could be reached within a week, called on Sunday for an immediate halt to the fighting. 'MAKE THE DEAL IN GAZA. GET THE HOSTAGES BACK!!! DJT,' he wrote on Truth Social.
