Remember him at Orlando Pirates? Siphesihle Ndlovu is back in Soweto to play for Kaizer Chiefs this time.
The Pietermaritzburg-born star played 30 games for Matsatsantsa a Pitori last season and was rated as one of the best midfielders in the Betway Premiership.
Kaizer Chiefs came calling for the 28-year-old former Maritzburg United number eight.
For a player under the age of 28, Ndlovu has quite an impressive number of top-flight games under his belt. Since his first team debut at Maritzburg United under Roger De Sa in 2016 and his ill-fated spell at Pirates, Ndlovu's experience reveals 229 matches as a pro… Full story here.

Dikgacoi backs Mngqithi's bold title ambitions at Golden Arrows

Picture: Sydney Mahlangu, BackpagePix Image: Backpages Golden Arrows assistant coach Kagiso Dikgacoi has thrown his support behind Manqoba Mngqithi's bold ambition to mount a Betway Premiership title challenge, saying the veteran coach has already transformed the club's mentality behind the scenes. Mngqithi returned to Arrows late last season after parting ways with Mamelodi Sundowns, reuniting with a club where he built his name in the early 2000s. He took over a side battling for consistency and managed to steady the ship, helping Abafana Bes'thende secure a 12th-place finish — two points shy off a top-eight spot. Now, with a full pre-season under his belt, Mngqithi has made it clear that he's aiming higher. For Dikgacoi, who played under Mngqithi during his first spell at Arrows before securing a move abroad, the ambition is refreshing and familiar. 'We obviously didn't do well last season until he came in, and he immediately demanded intensity from the players,' said Dikgacoi. 'That shifted the mentality a little in the changeroom.' Although Arrows missed out on a top-eight finish, the improvement under Mngqithi's short tenure was evident. And now with the off-season to fine-tune the squad and structure, the technical team believes the club can push into new territory. 'Unfortunately we couldn't make the top eight like we'd hoped, but he is someone that wants to win things,' Dikgacoi added. 'He's won cups and league titles, and that's the mentality he's instilling in us. 'Hopefully we're gonna be able to do that this season with the players we've got and the players we've also let go.' Arrows have undergone subtle changes in personnel, but the biggest shift has come in the tone and culture within the squad.

Orlando Pirates news: Stars consider future, Transfer path narrows

Thabo Moloisane remains on Orlando Pirates' long-term radar, and the centre-back admits he's thinking about his future. 'When you have interest in your name, it shows you're doing something right,' he told SABC Sport . 'God is in control — we'll see what happens.' With Bafana ambitions on his mind, Moloisane is staying patient, but Pirates might be forced to act soon as other clubs begin circling. Meanwhile, uncertainty continues around Relebohile Mofokeng. Despite growing interest from Europe, the club has yet to comment publicly. Last year Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos predicted that the 2024/25 campaign would be Mofokeng's last with Orlando Pirates, a belief that the player's father hopes will become reality. 'My biggest wish is to see Rele overseas in 2025/2026. I'm praying every day. I don't want to see him in the Betway Premiership again this season. I know God will answer my prayers,' Sechaba said. [Whether it's in] Spain, England, Netherlands, France, Denmark, Switzerland — Rele can play. I believe that with all my heart. Take him to Barcelona? He can play. PSG? He can play. Any country. I'll be happy — but not Saudi Arabia,' say's the Orlando Pirates' player's father. 'Not yet. He's still young. He needs to compete in UEFA competitions. If he goes to Saudi now, he won't experience that. Yes, he'd be rich — but happiness is more important. You can have all the money in the world, but if you're not happy, it's worthless.' Appollis' arrival and his father's public plea for a move overseas have only made the situation more complex. Could a decision come before pre-season ends?
